From what I’ve learned is that most recipes for X-Trans IV translate 1:1 on X-Trans V and vice versa. The only thing to change between the two is the Color Chrome FX Blue. X-Trans V renders blue differently so if you have a recipe for X-Trans IV that says Color Chrome FX Blue: Weak, you would turn it off completely. If it says strong on IV you would set it to weak on V.

Excellent video, Goughie. I particularly like the Classic Negative and Classic Cuban Negative and will be trying these in my X100VI. But as I might have said before, your videos are also amazing adverts for travel destinations and I will be booking a short weekend break in Bruges. So, many thanks for the video, the ideas and may I wish you and your girlfriend a Very Happy New Year for 2025.

Let's face it. Any film recipe with a Clarity setting other than 0 is a total pain-in-the-ass with the processing delay.
I always modify any recipe I come across and set Clarity to 0 to keep my sanity somewhat intact.

I'm a Fuji X100 (v6) newbie who has bought a proper camera again after many years. Having dived into the subject a bit, I'm wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't understand why Fuji doesn't generate an easy to use exchange format for the ‘recipes’ that you can drag and drop via the Fuji app to save to C1-C7 without having to programme everything by hand? That would be a USP for Fuji for the USP (film simulations). This is also familiar from other digital worlds. Surely it can't be that difficult to create an exchange format that can then be downloaded from Fuji X Weekly, for example, and immediately transferred to the camera? Or am I seeing this wrong?
