I've got two of these mini warbirds, a 400mm BF-109 by RAGE and a 405mm FW-190 by Top RC.
I honestly think that certain planes in the lineup behave differently based on their designs. The BF109 has no problem with gliding when I want it to and is fairly easy to fly but the FW190 doesn't really like to glide and is a little bit more tricky when in the air.
That being said I do believe these are a MUCH better option for someone that is unsure of wanting to get into the hobby and these little planes will at least teach proper orientation and set up for landing techniques, they're not the best at it but they can at least teach newer hobbyists the basics without breaking the bank. Not many want to spend over $100 on a hobby they might not want to get into.
I asked the girlfriend if she would be interested in flying RC with me and she was excited to get into the hobby when I explained it so I'll be getting her the 450mm Top RC P-51 in that nice visible red color scheme.
A very good Monday morning to you all in the USA from Wellington Somerset in the UK
thank you!!!
That would be fun practice with the 12 gauge. But you don't know what your going to get, thats why your there reviewing rc for us. Thanks guys.
God bless you for reviewing this one, ordered last month in the racing livery ( I wanted to be different)
I bought a similar Trojan a few months ago. Great to learn in small area for a low price but the thing behaves poorly without thrust. Wheels are useless and might get you in predicamenr whenever you fly in a tree. It is durable compared to more conventional planes but the fuse prop mechanism lacks strenght after many crashes, and the shaft part is nearly impossible to replace without the appropriate tools. It’s important to always check the effect of max thrust on the prop alignment after putting the prop back
I like this video, It makes you fly like I fly everything 😂
;)
I ordered a very similar one as a noob and it was hard for me to fly. Crashed a bunch.
Will train more on some easier gliders from now on. I like the xk800 as a budget trainer
I took a chance on a 400 mm wingspan plane that as was lacked enough throw in both the elevator and rudder to fly the plane beyond barely.
I ended up gluing extensions on both control surfaces nearly doubling the area of each. Now it flys perfectly.
These 400mm warbirds need to be flown using a better multi protocol radio. You will find it flies much better when you fly in expert mode and have manually trimmed the plane by adjusting its surfaces by bending the wire linkages. I always take take the undercarriage off and just hand launch as the ground control isn’t that brilliant and you soon become fed up with it anyway. All in all just fly it in beginner mode and get used to it then advance yourselves to expert mode where it flys at its best.
I have tried as you say, but with other offerings from this same lineup. I find it's very difficult to get enough lipstick on this particular pig to make her worth enjoying - That being said, she is pretty, and she DOES FLY ;)
It's too bad, these planes are getting so good, but then why did we change the flight controller?????????? It baffles the mind...
@@BrianPhillipsRC ye Brian surprising just what the Chinese can produce and they are getting better and better at it for the price. As always love your take on these things.👍
Tenho dois desses da marca Volantex . Tenho um A6M Zero e um P 51 Mustang. , ambos são da segunda versão com capota de bolha transparente , voam muito bem, principalmente o Zero.
no comprendo
NIIIIICE 👌🏻 Love these little war birds 👍🏻
Well maybe not this one lol
Need more RC airliners..
1000000% correct
Thanks for the honest review! 👍🏼
From all these 400mm warbirds which do you think is the best flyer?
Trouble is, they've changed branding, so it's kinda hard to tell...
Here's our list, but to be honest, some of the first, and oldest are pretty good, while this new rendition seems to have a lot of issues, despite being way more pretty.

@@BrianPhillipsRC wow thanks a lot, I like a plane that can glide and fly slow but also can maneuver quicky if I punch it, being very similar 8n general I suppose the anatomical diferencies can make a difference or not? Also I plan to use my radiomaster Zorro as transmitter, any suggestions regarding configuration?
If i didn't know any better, I would say I'm hearing save your money and buy something else.. Humm wink wink got ya. Thanks pal.
I just want you to get something you LOVE. If you love this, then by all means ;)
the link does not ship to britian : (
Let me know if anyone finds a way to buy just the plane. All of them seem RTF and after buying the P40 version, I'd like to try other models or just replace mine eventually without having to get another transmitter with each purchase.
WHen i buy it , how do i know that is multipotocol?
Is that under 250 grams. Will need remote id if over 250 or fria fly
It's definitely under. They're like 70-80g if that...
It's so sad that 99% of these cool warbirds are absolutely impossible to fly out of beginner mode smh I wanted a small warbird sub250 and got the "Better" version of the volantex p51 mustang....the xk a280 is a awesome warbird brushless also 🤌🏼 these little guys are just not good fliers....they look good on the mantel though😂
I've binded to open TX. You can adjust expo. Big difference
Sorry, It's A Dinky Piece-O-SSS-Height... 🤣🤣😁😎
LOL
nope
