Been waiting for this! Nobody has made an in depth video of Bjorn’s legacy. Your videos are so well done. The music, the narration, those new AI pics, & doing videos than other ppl haven’t really done like Jomvikings & House of Munso!
@@historyprofiles no thank you!!! I’ve been watching you videos for a couple years now and they are getting better and better. There’s just something about the music you use and your narration that makes them so good. Keep them coming bro!!
Great video! Munsö (Muns Island) is a real place near Stockholm where Björn Ironside accoring to legend is buried. There is a mound there called ”Björns Mound” that you can visit. This is where ”House of Munsö” comes from.
Thanks for another good video - Bjorn is my 33x great grandfather and Styrbjorn 27x, there are many alive today that are descendants of the Ragnarssons.
Wish I could boast great Viking lineage. It's by far, my favorite history to read and learn about, ever since I was old enough to read😎👏👏👏 well done, sir
So if Bjorn wasn't historically Ragnar & Lagatha's son, who does he belong to...because we know that Ragnar & Aslaug had 4 sons, Hvitserk, Ubba, Ivar, & Sigurd?
@@historyprofiles How confusing because he's Ragnars son, who's his mother & how are the kids called by a different last name than Ragnars, was there 2 Ragnar's? On The Last Kingdom, there is Ragnar Ragnarsson & then we have Ragnar Lothbrok & Ubba in TLKis mentioned as Ubba Lothbroksson.
@@rachelwilson86just remember when you're watching shows like Vikings & the last kingdom they aren't historical, they are entertainment shows with historical background. Eg; in Vikings King Haralds brother was halfdan the black, were in history he was actually Harald's father. I can only assume they did that for entertainment and also because Hvitserk was real name was halfdan, Hvitserk actually mean white shirt 😊.
Never heard Anund pronounced like that. I believe the emphasis should be on the initial A, like Aanund. Otherwise, nice to see someone digging into this material. 👍
love the content thanks for that! just one point.... if you use Ai generated pictures, why not with more historical accuracy? this is not supposed to be fantasy in "vikings" style, right...?
Wasn’t enough information about him to cover a portion of him - The sons of Björn Ironside were Eric and Refil. The latter was a warrior-prince and sea-king. King Eric ruled the Swedish Realm after his father, and lived but a short time. Then Eric the son of Refil succeeded to the Kingdom
Pretty sure sweden was already converted well before iceland ever was. Sweden had xtians kings pushing the new religion, while iceland was just being introduced into xtianty. Iceland was recorded as the last northern country to "accept" the newly found religion, but never truly "converted".
Why did you use a photo of Bjorn Ironside from Vikings as the image for the video, and then not use images of him in the video and just used some rando Viking? It feels like you tricked people by using that photo.
Tell you what utahh Christian if you can call this mythology than I can call the whole Christian shi# show mythology and it's acceptable in you're circle of life or we have a dispute vary satelable in person

Thank you! It means a lot, and yeah not many people do into the Jomsvikings, but they need more recognition! Thank you for watching!

Hail King Björn!
Can we all just appreciate how devastating to history was the spread of Christianity, inxest, thexf, rxpe, and murderoxs. Praise jeebus
Right because vikings never stole or murdered or raped anyone
Another interesting video
All is true , I should be king of England. I just need a boat.

It's not mythology strike 1
Neither Denmark or Sweden had those borders at that time as shown in the video.
NO!! Really???
Bjorn Ironside was the true king of Norway. Him and Ivar out of all Ragnar sons are the two that out done him.
Idc what anyone says I’m proud to be descendants of Ragnar and bjorn
Ok
There's always one 😂
I'm sure no one says anything about it.
This dude’s putting me to sleep
I want to see more about ubbe and floki in the americas

You’re showing pictures of Vikings writing on paper with a pen.
Sweden was the last country in scandinavia to be cristian and it did'nt happened untill 1100 ca
