Hey jay great video. You actually can carry on restaurants and bars serving liquor in Nj now unless there is a sign that says otherwise. You can find the updated list online.
Ive concealed carried for over 7 years. When using a stall, leave your gun in the holster and on your belt. When your pants drop below your hips, re-fasten your belt and slide them down as needed. Keep the belt and holster positioned around your thighs. Spread them slightly if needed to keep holster secure. Otherwise, sooner or later, you're going to drop your pistol and holster onto the floor. Note: sometimes you're forced by circumstancetouse a urinal - if you have a stiff enough belt, keep the holster as far right as possible, unsnap your pants, and unzip. Press the holster against you with your right wrist and do your business. This works best if you have a cover garment like a sport coat ot jacket or an open button-down shirt to block other's view from the sides. Yeah, it can be weird.
I'd HIGHLY recommend Tier 1 Concealed holsters if you're going to go with a sidecar design. Their Axis Elite is an amazing appendix carry holster. I own one for my Glock 43X and one for my Sig P365 XMacro w/TLR-7 Sub.
I did look into a Tier 1 originally. I went with the Trex because it was a bit cheaper. Then I wanted something different from the sidecar design for the M&P so I heard Tenicor was good. I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for watching brother!
Started carrying about two months in NJ and have absolutely the same feelings and concerns as you. Great video. I do carry an ec9s ruger. Small enough to fit in your front pocket and will get the job done. Plus, I agree with the light. it looks cool but not really needed when carrying. Carry is not comfortable for sure. 👍
Yea no more light for me. I carry a streamlight light in my pocket anyway. Also, applied for a Pistol permit with my town. Considering a G43X or a Shield Plus. Thanks for watching!
@Jay Costa, 1. Governor Phil Murphy wants to give the citizens of New Jersey the illusion that they want you to rely on the government to protect you. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled a couple of times that law enforcement officers are only there to protect the public but not the individual person from harm. You are responsible for your safety and a gun on your hip is more effective than a cop on the phone. This is because you are your own first responder. 2. When it comes to your right to defend yourself it does not rely on where people think you should be. If I'm in the area and evil is looking to take me away I can defend myself. This is because there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that says I have to wait for the police to save me. Self-defense is one of the most natural instincts for self-preservation. This is one of the main reasons the Founding Fathers created the Second Amendment. It's because your natural instinct is to protect yourself.
I agree in theory, but each state does have different standards and thresholds when it comes to self defense and protection or private property. Plus, the 2nd amendment is much more broadly encompassing that individual self defense, as I am sure you would agree. Thanks for watching!
#1, ditch the light.. it’s never gonna be used in a high stress, close encounter. #2, get a compact (I carry Ruger Max9) with an outside w/b holster, I use DeSantis mini scabbard even if wearing sweats with no loopholes. Always have a round in the chamber! Congrats on the carry permit .
Yea, I hear you. I have been carrying my M&P 2.0 Compact in Tenicor holster with no light more often. I just applied for a pistol permit. Considering a 43X or Shield Plus. Thanks for watching!
Do you need to add each pistol to your license in NJ like we do in NY? I'm taking a class this month in Monroe at the Union Hill Gun Club. The guy who runs it is really well known NRA Instructor. Quite excited.
I'm in south jersey. I asked my police department that question and he said as long as it is registered to you, you don't have to register it. Not sure if townships are different. Call your local police.
@traderpete007 It varies from township to township, where I'm at in NJ I have an unrestricted carry, meaning whatever hand gun I have I can carry I heard from a few people in different parts of NJ they are restricted to two registered hand guns.
The early licenses had the carry weapons on it. Now they dont. Mine does not, but when I applied online it did ask for the gun information. I would check with state police or town. Thanks for watching!
Where I am at in NY you have to buy to pistol, type out an amendment form with all information, pay a 5 dollar fee with a copy of pistol (s) receipt and wait for a judge to approve pistol (s). If approved I will get a new I.D. in mail with pistol on said I.D. and a letter of approval to take to FFL and then pay for background check to hope there's no delays and receive pistol (s)😮💨😮💨
@@BarikadeI’m in Suffolk so similiar but since the Police department is the licensing officer new firearm amendments are much faster than waiting on a judge. You just go with the bill, and pictures of the new firearm from your FFL to the police HQ in Yaphank, they will add it to your license and give you a purchase document that allows the FFL to release the firearm to you. It takes a few hours while driving back and forth to the FFL and Police HQ …. But you’re done in about 3 -4 hours.
Good video, thank you. I too have been concealed carry for almost two years now. Tried several ways to cary (IWB is hard to get use too, atleast for me) and have three carry guns. Summer cary have a Walther PPK and found an OWB holster to be the most comfortable. Went with leather from Wright Leather works, not cheep but worth every penny. So confortable hardly notice it on sometimes. Winter carry is DW 1911 in same holster. Third is is a older S&W mod. 60 with anckel holster. You have to make conceled carry as part of what you do everyday.

check the wing of your holster when you wear it in your belt. it looks like your holster is not aligned with the wing and is why your gun is printing. the belt has to be sitting on the wing to push it back even more
Keep in mind when it comes to belly band holsters ,the vnsh hoslter is illegal in NJ , while it covers thr trigger guard, it is not allowed to be covered with fabric, it has to be a hard substance like kydex or leather
Good video in progress of a nj carry permit now I’ve been held back in time from not having a carry size gun which you addressed got a Springfield xds. Highly recommend .45 for capacity issue states. It’s getting better here as time goes on but still a pain
Quick question because I'm moving to New Jersey in 2 weeks and I've been doing some digging. Apparently it is illegal to carry a handgun that has a magazine bigger than 10 rounds right? Please someone get back to me on this!!!
i carry 2 different ones (not at same time) here in NJ. nice compact for both. 1st one is the P365 and 2nd is the beretta apx 1 carry, both 9mm and appendix holster. has been good.
Sadly NJ will continue to fight against our rights. It’s one of the many reasons I moved out to a free state. I was fortunate to carry in NJ due to the 15+ years working armed security. More NJ 2A folks need to get involved.
I left soon as Murphy “Won” his second Term. Living now in the south been the best. Can Carry without having to worry about where I can go for the most part. No more waiting 3 days for a background check and BS ass 10 round capacity. NJ will always be anti 2A especially now when Marijuana is Recreational Legal. Move out folks when you can.
Gun violence is also extremely low in NJ, so that's good, isn't it? You're free to live in any state you want. Nothing wrong with working within the rules that are designed to keep us safe. (yes, less guns around is certainly safer at least in the big picture)....I'm a new gun owner in NJ and working within the rules is just fine. 10 round mags? Annoying, but who cares. I'd also like to mess with a suppressor/silencer, but can't. What can ya do. I like the very low level of gun violence we have here.
@DanK123 Less guns? Confused about that comment. NJ has a healthy amount of guns in the law abiding 2A space. There is also A LOT of illegal guns in the hands of criminals. How does less guns make us safe?
Look at Urban Carry Holsters, they have a really good OWB leather holster that gently locks the firearm inside the holster. However it concels way better without the light attached.
Hey Jay, I live south of you. I go to a place in Old Bridge called Union Hill Gun Club they offer great training programs and the do multi state permit classes as well I now have 5 of them and im going to obtain 2 more so that I can carry and not worry about reciprocity in states that dont recognize NJ's permit
Look into a pocket pistol like the Ruger LCP Max or the new S&W when wearing shorts I use a Sticky pocket holster and it’s great, best of all because of the size it’s comfortable.
Just completed my qualification yesterday at RTSP in Union. Submitted all my necessaries to complete the permit. Hoping Bayonne doesn't drag their feet, although the turnaround time for regular gun permits is usually pretty quick. Great video, nice to be able to watch videos on New Jersey ccw.

Excellent video ,,, nice job! I carry Sig Saur P365.. Its so tiny that I "almost" forget that Im wearing it ,,,9mm 10 rds plus one in chamber. I have Been carrying a handgun (in NY and NJ) for 38 or so years and this is the most comfortable gun (with full no nonsense firepower) I have ever had the pleasure of carrying. BTW I have NEVER carried a round NOT in the chamber, its just silly. If the gun is "drop safe" and you finger cannot pull the trigger while the weapon is holstered then there is no reason not to have a round chambered. BUT Jay is 100% correct... you have to work at being comfortable with that and training. On another note... get some carry insurance ... it peace of mind and NOT expensive. Shop around and read all the fine print very carefully. Some will not provide insurance in NY or NJ but some will. You would have to be crazy NOT to have this protection.
Greetings from across the river in NY! Shame you guys cant get an out of state permit for here, while we can apply with NJSP to get a carry permit over there
@@JayCostaUSA I would recommend to qual with any new firearm you wish to cary just in case of legal issues if,god forbid, you have to use it. Your defence will have a good ground in court to present the fact that you know how to use the firearm and familiar with it.
I would get the wedge pack and not insert gun so low into waistband you can’t get a good purchase on gun when drawing. I was skeptical about the wedges too, but they work well, imho. I agree that for most people, a light is not a necessity on a daily carry gun. You can always carry a handheld light. Good luck and best wishes.
Yep, already carry a streamlight flashlight in my pocket anyway, so no more lights for me on guns. And I agree. I did already move the clips slightly to get a better purchase on the grip. It does print more though. I assume a wedge is what I need. Thanks for watching!
Great info, always good to hear other points of view, experience creates safety, is anybody getting some kind of insurance? or protecting assets, like your home, properties ect. or have a good lawyer for issues they may arise, remember we are in New Jersey
I think you have the wrong hosters, my friend. I’ve never had to remove my holster to take a piss and as for being comfortable again it’s the holster I don’t even notice I’m carrying anymore just second nature.
I live in dirty Jersey as well and we have alot of restaurants that are BYOB I guess bc of liquor licenses. Is a restaurant that is BYOB considered a restaurant that serves alcohol if you’re not actually being served by them. I’m about to start the process for my CCW but the list of “sensitive” places is vague and leaves a lot for interpretation.
I have few carry guns. My favorite by far is my ruger lcp max with underwood extreme ammo and if I ever have to use it I have them take that them one of my more expensive guns.
I already applied for a pistol permit and am considering a G43X or shield plus. Leaning towards Shield Plus. Need it before summer! Thanks for watching!
@JayCostaUSA I also have a shield plus and p365. I find myself grabbing the lcp max more often when going out. At times I forget I have it on. If u get a chance just check it out.
Here in Florida you are prohibited to carry in a bar, casino etc however say your going to Applebees or anyplace that isn’t primarily a bar but serves alcohol you are allowed to carry but you can not sit at the bar. Anywhere else is fine.
Another good thing about the western states is that every state that has CC has a reciprocal agreement with Oklahoma so your license is good in something like 37 states.
@@212caboose Tell that to the arresting officers as you prepare to spend the next 5 years in prison. NJ politicians don't give a crap if it's unconstitutional... they will send you to prison anyway.
I would never put a light on my EDC gun. No reason to. I would definitely put a light on my home defense gun. The size of your gun is personal preference and is somewhat dependent on the clothes you wear. As far training facilities are concerned, you are surrounded by them. Gun for Hire, ReLoaderZ, Heritage Guild, Cherry Ridge are all places that offer training. Great video, thanks!
Wedges will definitely make a difference. You should get the pack. I just found your channel this morning. Two unrelated comments... If you're happy with your holster set up, you may not be interested in the Phlster Enigma. It's great because it's deep concealment and you can wear ANYTHING. And you can use the bathroom much much easier. The other topic for those of us in NJ to see more info on, insurance. Obviously we can't have insurance technically. I recently signed on with Attorneys On Retainer (AOR). They're not an insurance company at all. It's a law firm. The advantage to that, USCCA and the like can deny you if you are charged with a crime and as you know he in NJ we will be. Some people will choose to sign up with both.
Hmm interesting. I will look into that holster as well as insurance options. it is my understanding that they tried to require insurance but there are no standards for such insurance. I will do my research and make a video in this if that helps. Thanks for watching!
@@JayCostaUSA Murphy outlawed insurance for firearms in NJ. He calls it murder insurance. We have no carriers of insurance here. USCCA and US law shield and the like are companies that can help if with legal costs, but if you're charged with a crime (like we likely would here if God forbid need to defend ourselves) those kinds of companies have clauses in the agreement that allows them not to cover anything. See that case of the TH-cam prankster that got shot by the delivery guy in the mail mall (not sure what state that was in). Editing to add, the USCCAs are like insurance (for legal fees), where Attorneys on Retainer is an actual law firm. But like you said, look into them and you'll see.
You are 100% correct. There's nothing comfortable about carrying a gun. I have three different methods to carry and I use them according on what pants I wear. I have the Enigma with a Henry holster for appendix carry, Mtac cross-body bag and an outside the waist holster by Neptune. I carry the Sig P365X Macro with streamlight tlr7A. Im always tweaking the Enigma. Best to wear with sweatpants.
If it's your first CC experience, I wouldn't recommend a Glock 19. I'd go with a slimmer gun, it makes a HUGE difference. I'd recommend a 43X, Hellcat (pro), Sig P365 whatever flavor you prefer.

When summer comes again, here's what you do. You become a member of the "Hawaiian/Bowling Shirt Mafia." You wear a layered look where you wear a t-shirt, and then a bowling shirt/Hawaiian shirt over it to conceal your weapon. Did it for years in Texas, intend to do the same here once I get my permit.
Hey brother…congratulations on your ccw. If you like, try carrying a Shadow Systems CR920 micro-compact. It’s a 9mm great gun comfortable with a Vedder Holster. That’s what I have and it’s very comfortable. Plus have one in the chamber ok. You’re going to be ok 👍🏻

Screw the lights. Get yourself a dot and a new trigger. Get yourself a p365 or a hellcat. I have a ton of carry guns. My go to everyday believe it or not is a Springfield xds mod 2 9mm. Look into it. It’s insanely concealable and a great shooter

thinking about getting ccw. I know NJ doesn't allow insurance. what are you guys using to protect yourselves from the guaranteed law suits should you have to protect yourself?
You don’t have to go through the entire process again if you want more permits. I do it every few months. State gets $20 town hets $25 per permit now. Fill out the paperwork they check your references and you get your permits
Yep, I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for watching!
@@JayCostaUSA I have the 43x. Love it. The shield is very snappy. Look at the sig 365. I rotate the sig 365, 320, 43x and shadow systems cr920. Look at the 43x mos if you go that route. Offers an optic cut and light rail. The shadow is nice because of the compactness and you still get the 10 rounds. The 320 and 365 are great because of modularity. I can swap frames and slides depending on what my needs are for the day. Just a little food for thought.
Wow that's a big difference compared to Oklahoma, here we are only prohibited from carrying in restaurants that make more than 50% of their revenue from alcohol so if it's just a place that serves alcohol, no big deal.
Interesting. How are you supposed to know if its 50%? Basically, restaurant with alcohol is OK, but full on bar with food is a no go? Thanks for watching!
Gunzees, wedges, I just brought a new one called holster pillow. I've been carrying for over 20 years and these things making conceal carry much better.
Pa has more training options. All throughout Lancaster. You need to get way more reps in man. Round in the chamber is just the only way unless you trained to rack as you draw. Keep it up.
I feel that the requirement for training is valid, I've carried for 12 years and was new to pistols, PA does not have a training requirement, but I took a course for my benefit. When I go to my local state range, I go early mornings only, especially on weekends (Sunday is from noon to sundown though). Residents of PA bring family from out of state to the range and it is clear that none of them have taken a training course, you literally take your life in your own hands going when there are untrained shooters around.
Training is extremely important and essential, but should NOT be lawfully required since we have a 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms which states no such requirement. Thanks for watching!

Just completed the move to South Carolina. Concealed carry is permit-less here, as well as there is reciprocity with I think it's 29 States now. Good bye to the People's Republic of New Jersey, and their anti-2nd Amendment B.S.
I was told by police officers to always carry with a light... makes everything so much more uncomfortable and harder to carry but most professionals say to carry with a light
The light is a good idea , not because if the light ,but because of the laser. Even though i have an optic on glock 43, i like the laser in the event i dont have my glasses on
Securing your handgun in your vehicle is permitted - look up the details. Here in NJ - yes, not perfect, but make it work - it’s your right! I feel naked without my carry now.
I have a lock box, so anywhere that I can not carry it can locked up. Ex. I work for a hospital and lock it up every morning while working and am good to good to go after work. Sucks going to eat where alcohol is served or a bar, not that I drink much anyway but then drinking and guns do not go together well any way.
Bro, go through the process and get a more concealable gun. Trust me, come summertime you're going to realize that the 19 will print like crazy. It doesn't lend itself well to t-shirts at all. I recommend renting some smaller pieces at your local range to decide what is right for you then go with that.
I started carrying here in NJ with my p320 with a we the people holster then switched to the Glock 43x mos with a vedder sidetuck in an appendix carry. The latter setup is way more comfortable. Glad you commented about using the restroom because it’s a freaking hassle especially with the extra mag sidecart. I wear button fly raw denim jeans and that’s a whole other mess to carry with. Zippers going forward.
I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for watching!
The first year is weird. The most important thing I can tell you is that eventually you will lose the sense of self-consciousness with it. The other thing is to remember that your permit is a permit, not a badge. There is NOT a new sheriff in town. If you wouldn't do it unarmed, don't do it wearing a gun, either. The only exception to that rule is, you're able to pull over and help people on the side of the road when it would otherwise be too great a risk.
You are incorrect, you can lock it in your car. You have to lock in correctly. While the temporary injunction is in place which right now it is you can go to restaurant with a bar.
Yes, I have realized that we can lock in our car. But I dont believe your statement about bars with alcohol is correct. I think we CANNOT go to anywhere that alcohol is served until injunction is in place. Let me do some more research on this and provide an update. Hard to keep up with all of the changes. Thanks for tuning in!
Only 2 tips I can give you are 1. Move the heck out of nj,lol I did. But #2 on a more serious note, carry strong side. Comfort level goes up, awkwardness moving and or peeing goes down.
@@JayCostaUSA which ever is more comfortable for you. Winter time in NJ 3oclock is easy to get away with when you have layers on and 4 prints a little less. Also a NJ CCW, what also sucks, is if you are going into an establishment where it is not allowed, then what? Leave it in my car? No way. I carry. But….this is obviously a predicament.
I live in Union County and often pickup friends and family from Newark Airport. I have to be conscience NOT to have my carry with me if I drive anyone anyone from the airport into the City (NYC). Also, spur of the moment "hey let's go right into the City for dinner" scenarios
You really should read A4769 before spreading misinformation.
Good tips, but a ot of work to take a piss. Ill stick to the stall, for now. LOL Thanks for watching!
@JayCostaUSA Copy, however, sometimes circumstances prevail.
Not enough people cover the NJ CC life ! Here for it bro. Def consider a smaller edc bro. I have a Shadow Systems CR920p & I absolutely love it.
Lets keep it going. Thanks for watching! I just applied for a pistol permit. Considering 43X or Shield Plus
@@JayCostaUSA I’m in Jersey. You’re more than welcome to rip my 920p, I promise you’ll go ahead and grab one after.
Is there a safety on that Ruger???
On the Trex put the wing on the front side of the holster and it will push the pistol grip in more.
I will try that out, Thanks for watching!
Hey Jay. I'm from Bergen County . Good to see fellow bergen county CCW holders. I also go to Gun For Hire.
Nice, Which town? Are you a member at G4H? I was considering it, but I dont enjoy the indoor ranges all that much. Thanks for watching!
@JayCostaUSA I'm from Dumont. Nah I'm not a member. Same here. I enjoy outdoor ranges. I go to Cherry Ridge outdoor range. My friend is a member so I go with him lol.
check the wing of your holster when you wear it in your belt. it looks like your holster is not aligned with the wing and is why your gun is printing. the belt has to be sitting on the wing to push it back even more
Will check on that today. Thanks for the help. And Thanks for watching!
Keep in mind when it comes to belly band holsters ,the vnsh hoslter is illegal in NJ , while it covers thr trigger guard, it is not allowed to be covered with fabric, it has to be a hard substance like kydex or leather
Doesn't that single out woman?
Good video in progress of a nj carry permit now I’ve been held back in time from not having a carry size gun which you addressed got a Springfield xds. Highly recommend .45 for capacity issue states. It’s getting better here as time goes on but still a pain
Quick question because I'm moving to New Jersey in 2 weeks and I've been doing some digging. Apparently it is illegal to carry a handgun that has a magazine bigger than 10 rounds right? Please someone get back to me on this!!!
10 round max in NJ. You can have a 10 round Mag with one in the chamber.
For now, yes although it is being challenged. You cant even have it in your possession I believe.
i carry 2 different ones (not at same time) here in NJ. nice compact for both. 1st one is the P365 and 2nd is the beretta apx 1 carry, both 9mm and appendix holster. has been good.
nice, the p365 looks like a great option. Thanks for watching!
yeah it is 👍 luv it
Sadly NJ will continue to fight against our rights.
Yes love the south! Tennessee!
Unfortunately, what I do for a living is pretty tied to the area. So I am here to fight. Thanks for watching!
How do YOU specifically carry in a vehicle when you're driving around?
in my holster
@@JayCostaUSA IWB?
What I would like to know is do you have to carry the gun you qualify with? If not qualifying with very small firearms could be challenging
I think the requirement to qualify with specific guns is gone. Thanks for watching!
Yes you do need to qualify with each firearm you intend to carry
@Svbied0341 no you don't.
Look into RTSP in Union or Randolph, NJ. They offer a number of classes.
Will do, thanks for watching!
Look at Urban Carry Holsters, they have a really good OWB leather holster that gently locks the firearm inside the holster. However it concels way better without the light attached.
I will check it out, thanks!
What site do you use to know where you can carry and not carry?
ANJRPC is usually a good resource. Thanks for watching!
Hey Jay, I live south of you. I go to a place in Old Bridge called Union Hill Gun Club they offer great training programs and the do multi state permit classes as well I now have 5 of them and im going to obtain 2 more so that I can carry and not worry about reciprocity in states that dont recognize NJ's permit
awesome I will check it out. Is that the one that has USPSA events?
Im not sure on that one@@JayCostaUSA
Look into a pocket pistol like the Ruger LCP Max or the new S&W when wearing shorts I use a Sticky pocket holster and it’s great, best of all because of the size it’s comfortable.
Thanx but I'd skip to at least 05:00 to get what sucks...but I never finished the video, I guess I know that it isn't worth it in NJ.
Awesome, good luck and let us know how it goes throughout the process. Thanks for watching and subbing!
@@JayCostaUSA hey Jay just got the call today to pick up my permit on Monday. So 3 week total turnaround time from the moment I submitted all my paperwork for Bayonne NJ. Not too bad from all I’ve read.
Was the qualifications hard?what’s the process?
@@rafaelsanchez173 nah not at all. Different distances, center mass targets, (FBI-Q targets). 80% proficiency on 50 shots. Distances were 3,5,7,10 and 15 yards. Super cake. Just practice leading up and you’ll be fine
Interesting, I will look into it today. Great advice and thanks for watching!
Greetings from across the river in NY! Shame you guys cant get an out of state permit for here, while we can apply with NJSP to get a carry permit over there
That's probably more on NY than NJ, both suck. Thanks for watching!
VP9SK in my case fits the spot even under a t-shirt.
I just applied for a pistol permit with my town. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus. Thanks for watching!
I think I read somewhere that Murphy made it illegal to have carry insurance? Seems quite dumb, as usual. Thanks for watching!
I think you have the wrong hosters, my friend. I’ve never had to remove my holster to take a piss and as for being comfortable again it’s the holster I don’t even notice I’m carrying anymore just second nature.
Yes I have learned about other holsters since and am still carrying every day. Thanks for watching!
What insurance did you get? I'm having trouble find a company that will write a liability policy for NJ ccw.
Insurance is not required, or even available at this point. Carry on.
Can I use a switch in NJ?
dont know, but I doubt it
@@JayCostaUSA Of course not. I was being facetious. 😂
Another good thing about the western states is that every state that has CC has a reciprocal agreement with Oklahoma so your license is good in something like 37 states.
Yes it is on my list to get that 37 state license eventually. I dont travel very much, though. Thanks for watching!
Your only choice when going to a restaurant is lock it in a safe in the car which is allowed.
Good to know. Going to have to get an under seat lockable storage in the Jeep. Thanks for watching!
The other choice is carry anyway. Unconstitutional laws are moot.

I'd suggest RTSP for training. They're in Union and Randolph, NJ
That looks interesting for sweatpants. My sweatpants usage is way down since getting the CCW license. I will check it out. Thanks for watching!
Right now my biggest fear is printing accidentally at the supermarket and a karen bug out on me. Specially here in bergen county Paramus area
Very familiar with Paramus, (I'm not far from there) Thanks for watching!
No one pays that much attention. Printing really shouldn't be a concern.
Thanks for the video
How about the Enigma express by Phlster
No experience, but I will try it out. Thanks for watching!
Do you have CCW liability insurance,i do???
If it's your first CC experience, I wouldn't recommend a Glock 19. I'd go with a slimmer gun, it makes a HUGE difference. I'd recommend a 43X, Hellcat (pro), Sig P365 whatever flavor you prefer.
Yes, I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for tuning in!

Hey where can you find that application process. My parents and sister live in PA and I’m traveling a lot from NJ.
Screw the lights. Get yourself a dot and a new trigger. Get yourself a p365 or a hellcat. I have a ton of carry guns. My go to everyday believe it or not is a Springfield xds mod 2 9mm. Look into it. It’s insanely concealable and a great shooter

Even off duty cops are restricted on 2nd amendment.Correct me if I'm wrong off duty officers cannot have hollow point ammo in their firearms...

In Newark nj after you submit your application to buy a firearm take from 3 to 6 months more like it 5 months you get the email..
Depends on the town, and Newark is a big one for sure. Thanks for watching and let me know how it goes!
Great job 👏 👍

Nice! Keep training!
Can you carry at your place of employment?
yes i believe so, unless it is on the list of otherwise sensitive places.
Former NYS, now NJ...can't take it anymore for a host of reasons...moving to South Carolina next month.
Just completed the move to South Carolina. Concealed carry is permit-less here, as well as there is reciprocity with I think it's 29 States now. Good bye to the People's Republic of New Jersey, and their anti-2nd Amendment B.S.
Oh....and it's a hell of a lot cheaper to live here.
Is Jersey may issue or shall issue?
Every state is forced to be "shall issue" but they put up a hell of a fight doing so.
Nice EDC setup!! 👍
thanks and thank you for watching
I was told by police officers to always carry with a light... makes everything so much more uncomfortable and harder to carry but most professionals say to carry with a light
Hmm, interesting. What was their reasoning? Thanks for watching!
Same here! Maybe I will get an under seat lockbox in my Jeep. Thanks for watching!
I have a lock box, so anywhere that I can not carry it can locked up. Ex. I work for a hospital and lock it up every morning while working and am good to good to go after work. Sucks going to eat where alcohol is served or a bar, not that I drink much anyway but then drinking and guns do not go together well any way.
what range do you frequent i go to long shot
Bro, go through the process and get a more concealable gun. Trust me, come summertime you're going to realize that the 19 will print like crazy. It doesn't lend itself well to t-shirts at all. I recommend renting some smaller pieces at your local range to decide what is right for you then go with that.
I think im going to have to do that. A G43x or Shield would be my choice, I think. Thanks for watching!
Get yourself a Sig P365 or a Springfield hellcat. Big difference when carrying.
I'll say do you know in the majority of States a permit to carry is not required..
Yes I do, one day!
just a word of caution you should carry a spare mag that is the biggest fail point in a semiautomatic pistol.
I have given it thought, I will give it more thought. Thanks for watching!
RTSP has training. Pricing isn’t bad
Will look into it for next time.
3 o clock or more like 3 to 4 oclock? Thanks for watching!
@@JayCostaUSA which ever is more comfortable for you. Winter time in NJ 3oclock is easy to get away with when you have layers on and 4 prints a little less. Practice drawing from all 3 positions too at home dry firing. You’ll get the feel of how it should sit with reps.
I carry a p10c with a comp and acro p2 and with a good holster it doesn’t print much at either position and is worlds more comfy than appendix
What are you wearing that you have to pull out your holster pee
Brother first of all try carrying a smaller frame gun. 2nd appendix carry sucks period. Carry at 3-4 o’clock. Get yourself a crossbreed holster with leather backing. I don’t even know my pistol is there
You are 100% right im in NJ also , got the stealthgear mini 3-4oclock holster with foam / weird material backing. Most comfortable holster ever, i carr a 1911 kimber ultra cdp. I tried all the appendix holsters, horribly uncomfortable. I dont even feel my gun with the SG MINI holster 3-4 ooclock plus amazing carry position for working also
I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. I heard kydex is better than leather because leather can lose its form. Thanks for watching!
Also a NJ CCW, what also sucks, is if you are going into an establishment where it is not allowed, then what? Leave it in my car? No way. I carry. But….this is obviously a predicament.
NJ SUCKS! I'm stuck with you there too man, can't even go to grab dinner even with CCW. Crazy place we are in...
You can, as long as restaurant has no liquor. Thanks for watching!
Ever try pocket carry? No problems using the bathroom.
i cc in northern nj to…. 43x is the most comfortable.
Considering a 43X or Shield Plus. Just applied for permit. Thanks for watching!
I can see why you’d have negative opinions about CC based on the 2 setups you showed, I carried a 19 at work, i’d NEVER CC either gun.
I have gotten better at concealment and also picked up a smaller gun. I carry every day now. Thanks for watching!
I live in Union County and often pickup friends and family from Newark Airport. I have to be conscience NOT to have my carry with me if I drive anyone anyone from the airport into the City (NYC). Also, spur of the moment "hey let's go right into the City for dinner" scenarios
The struggle is real. Thanks for watching!
You really should read A4769 before spreading misinformation.
Section 7 (b)
(2) A holder of a valid and lawfully issued permit to carry a handgun shall not leave a handgun outside of their immediate possession or control within a parked vehicle, unless the handgun is unloaded and contained in a closed and securely fastened case, or gunbox, and is not visible from outside of the vehicle, or is locked unloaded in the trunk or storage area of the vehicle.
Yes, you are correct and I stand corrected. I bought a lockable safe that I can latch on to the seat frame while stored in my vehicle since then. Thanks for watching.
When you title a video the way this one is, why is there a necessity to talk about your gun and holster for half of the video! Stay on topic if you don't want people clicking out!
Duly noted, thanks
You need more lighting on your video's
Will bump up the lighting going forward. Thanks for the tip!
@@JayCostaUSA your welcome
A light is essential for EDC. Specially at night or for a guy like you who works in real estate.
I carry a separate streamlight, so I am unsure about lights being necessary on carry guns.
Those holsters are just too big. The gun is fine. Lose the light. I carry a Stacatto C2 in a We the People holster. Much better holsters.
I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for watching!
@@JayCostaUSA I carry the g43x in warmer weather when I can’t carry the C2
Carrying a double stack pistol in NJ is pointless since we have a 10 round mag ban. Get yourself a single stack pistol until that’s overturned. I conceal a 5” 1911 easier than a Glock 19.
I agree. I already applied for a pistol permit for something smaller. Considering a G43X or Shield Plus to stay in the same family of what I am already familiar with. Thanks for watching!
