      The first thing I heard about Alex Wolff before I saw the movie was that he started out in some kids' show I'd never seen, called The Naked Brothers Band. This did not give me high hopes. ;-) But he blew me away in Hereditary, and it's great to see that at least one child star grew up into an (apparently) sane and even *nice* adult. It's also great that he's not ashamed of where he got his start. He's clearly very appreciative of the whole experience.

    He said it was a drama then the horror was a manifestation of their guilt and anger A hyperbole. A exaggerated statement that's not to be taken literally
    My family has mental illness. They have done in a way the same horrific stuff in this movie. A death from lack of parental care. Lighting a person on fire, thinking the devil is after them, hallucinating people running on the walls. You can't tell the difference between a supposed demon possession and mental illness. The hyper religious people are attracted to the mentally ill and feed into their delusions and paranoia.

    • @tommydude969
      @tommydude969 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yup, it would be a good movie to recommend for someone who is going into the field of psychology, religion plays a strong part. some of those "hyper religious" folks don't take mental illness seriously nd that thought is pretty scary. america really rejects those with mental illness
