My unit went to Bridgeport this year and we got them issued to us for free, definitely bringing them home and using them when I get out
I don't any royalties by dannners. Get those damm boots. True to size i find some bates and magnum a bit bigger. The arcadia regular fit like a glove maybe a couple of hours to break em in. First responder military discount. Great boots will buy again . Usa made ❤❤
After the family came over for Christmas and I knew that was done and over with decide to order mine. I got the 400g version. I wanted a dedicated winter boot. I have my Bates GX 8 boots I use in the summer months and I have had them about 12 years now I guess.
That should keep the cold off your feet for a bit!!!🥾♨️
Survival Showcase I got these Sorels a few weeks ago. Now THESE jokers will keep your feet warm in the snow. LOL rated to 100 below. 🤣😂👍. www.sorel.com/mens-intrepid-explorer-xt-1573881.html?cgid=men-boots&dwvar_1573881_variationColor=010#prefn1=activity&prefv1=045&start=0
Great video! I’ve been thinking about getting some Danners.
Thanks!!!
I wore 3 pairs of Danners in 26 years of LE!
That’s awesome! Did you ever get any of the soles replaced?
True beauty of Danner boots is...you can find them gently used on eBay...buy them for between 25% to 35% of MSRP...resole them worst case...and be rocking it for way less money. Only buy the models made in the USA and that have Gore-Tex liners...else you might as well be buying Justin or Redwings. I bought several pair of their Super Rainforest boots for myself and family...they are awesome IF you stand in your boots all day. Be warned all Danner boots are very narrow fitting. Their 2E width models are really 1E. So, if you truely wear a 2E or wider boot...only option is the Acadia in 4E which honestly is a 3E on a good day. Just bought a gently used pair of Acadias with near perfect original soles for $106.00 and that includes shipping and tax. Love my used shoe collection :)
Great finds!!!
This didn’t tell me anything. How do they hold up in the summer? Are they hot? How heavy are they compared to other similar boots? I know they are comfortable
Check previous videos!
@@SurvivalShowcase you could have easily just answered the questions here at a high level and recommended the videos for details.
@@terrareconExactly. This arrogant BETA Male could have easily answered the original question with grace and would have earned him respect and subscribers but chose to display his feminine emotional energy
I was iffy about spending this much on a boot , but I spent $110 on under armor ones and they have holes after two months of wear . I finally took the dive and mine are on the way . Danner it is . At least if something happens..... I’m not out $400 because I can send them back for repairs .
Absolutely! Sorry to hear about your under armour boots. I would still try and send them back to under armour.
Still have them , wear them on average for 10 hrs a day and they still look new . Just ordered a pair of the recon ( the all leather model ) and will start rotating them into the mix . Best money I’ve ever spent
Awesome!!! So glad to here that you really like these boots. By chance did you get any of the boot care products??? Well worth the money as a protectant for your investment.:)
I didn’t because I prefer mink oil
I have used Mink Oil before too but have since switched over to the Danner boot care products. I just figured I’d use what they recommend, and I believe their products are made by Lexol.
Still waiting for the cleaning vid on the hikers. This was a great vid tho
I have a Danner boot care kit on the way. Thought it would be neat to use their products!
Ha!
I just picked up my 3rd pair of Danner Acadia’s.
I just paid $239 Which is the cheapest I’ve ever found them. I’ve been wearing these since 2004
They last a long time
Can’t beat that!
@@SurvivalShowcase
Yup
Apparently someone ordered them and never picked them up the store held onto them for a year and just threw them out on clearance. That’s how I got them so cheap. Originally I found these boots through my friend who was issued them when he was in the Marines back in the beginning of the Iraqi war
I got a pair for 100$1
That’s a great deal!
Where can I go to measure my feet using that device you mentioned?
Most stores that sell shoes will have the device
Why display the bottom of the soles the entire video? Why not clean them so we can see the wear? Dude
Have you heard of polish?
I don’t like how the laces go so far down the boot
Yeah I can see that might be an issue for some. Takes a bit to get them xx done up, but once they are are on they feel like gloves‼️
@@SurvivalShowcase How tight can you get the laces with eyelets going all the way up on those Acadias with no speed-hooks ? I can get my Super Rainforests with speed-hooks so tight that my calves hurt for maybe 5 minutes till the leather/laces stretch. Please share...
You can get them as tight as you want you just have to work at it taking more time than if you had speed laces. My Danner RAT boots have the speed lace system and they tighten up quickly with no work other than pulling the laces at the top.
@@SurvivalShowcase I'm thinking of buying a speed-hook installation kit from amazon and installing them on my Acadia boots when they arrive. Complete kit, with hooks and tool, can be had for $20. Just I don't want to spend 10 minutes in the morning lacing my boots up tight...I'm spoiled by speed-hooks on all my other lace up boots.
Best of both worlds!
BRO THIS BOOTS COME WITH INSOLES ?
Not standard insoles but they did come with the Airthotic plastic insert.
🇧🇷🇧🇷👏
I got me some and damn they are uncomfortable!
Everybody’s feet are different maybe they are just not for you.
You're reviewing a pair of boots you don't work in? That you don't wear every day? I wear my work boots 2,500-3,000 hours a year, I'd like to watch a video reviewing work boots that are worn during average to extreme duty and every day use. Take this as constructive criticism when reviewing a 400 dollar "work boot"
Thanks!!!
Thank you sir
Dan. Ive had these as a patrol officer working 60hrs a week standing running etc. I’ve had mine for 2 years and am sending the to danner for a new sole as mine have worn uneven (I walk like a duck so not the soles fault). I have chased someone into 4 feet of water and my pants were soaked but my feet were bone dry. I highly recommend them! I will have mine for a very long time!
Awesome! Nothing beats real life experience.
I wore them 24/7 as a helicopter door gunner. These are tough boots that will last a long time with proper care! Career firefighter now and I still like these boots.
