Structure Fire | 5-23-2023 #1 | Raleigh, NC

Report of a structure fire came in for 1101 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh NC at 1:35 PM on May 23rd, 2023. Upon arrival, Engine 1 reported smoke showing from the building. Crews began shutting down the road as dispatch advised of a reported trapped person.
The trapped individual was found and discovered to have attempted suicide. They were brought outside and transferred to EMS while the fire was attacked and knocked quickly. The fire was marked under control at 1:56 PM, and EMS 12 shortly after transported the patient to hospital with RPD escort. There were no other patients.
