I got sucked into something very similar to Hero Corp when I was travelling Australia. It was essentially door to door sales, there was no minimum wage and we'd still be walking the streets after dark knocking on doors. We were also classed as self-employed and owners of our own 'amazing' business. This kind of shit happens everywhere and when you're desperate for work it's very easy to fall for it.
Australian poor bloke here, we're absolutely rife with these dodgy bastards. Had nothing better to do as a young lad and got fucked over by them too.
