Hi! This transponder is impossible to get anymore it seems? With this, and a yakker( and no plotter), perhaps signal could be sent out to any PC? Do you know anyone who still sells this transponder?
Hi - we have the plotter (actually the GPS551, but hey-ho...) and we are interested in the AIS unit. Our GPS551 has similar AIS menus and NMEA2000 connectors so it was good to see the little triangles on the screen. However, I did not see vessel details on the screen - is there a way to find that out? The name, MMSI, etc...?
Sailing Yacht Salty Lass yeah you just hover the curser over the vessel and all the details are listed next to it so you call on the radio etc. Its good because it should work with a new plotter too if I decide to upgrade :)
Wilson T , yes connected a laptop via the USB port and set up the mmsi etc, it’s straight forward to be honest, but you can’t change the mmsi once entered so triple check it!
Nice vid, thanks for explaining! I've also bought the Em-trak B100 and S100 splitter and will set it up soon. Hopefully the installation also will be without to much a hassle. Maybe interessting to know: I also ordered a YakBak (yakbitz) to output the nmea to wifi. I can then get the AIS info on my tablet and phone. I already installed OpenCPN on my phone and tablet with charts of NL and the UK. (The YakBak is bi-directional so I hope I can also send back info to the autopilot, that would be a nice extra if it will work. First getting AIS to work.) Cheerz!
Thanks for sharing! Very informative 👍
Great video as always.
Thanks!
Nice video! Keep it up bud!

Did you enter your boat info/data into the AIS?

sir how to reset mmsi that ais emtrak b 100?
You can’t reset it, it can only be reset at a dealer once the mmsi code has already been entered.

Great idea, there is option to connect to the ais via usb so there must be a way to export it onto a WiFi network!
Отличное видео, вот было бы еще на русском
