Journey is a video game developed by Thatgamecompany exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and which is distributed on the PlayStation Network. The game features the player as a robed figure in a vast desert, journeying towards a mountain in the distance. Along the way the player can meet other players on the same journey; the two players can assist each other, but cannot communicate via speech or text and are not shown each others' names until after completion. The game was released on March 7, 2012 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and was fully released on March 13. It has been met with significant critical acclaim. Journey is the last game made under a three game contract between Thatgamecompany and Sony, the first two being Flow and Flower.

My friends, you probably saw that last night I lost the Grammy to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. The overflow of support I saw here, on Twitter, on facebook, over email and everywhere else was overwhelmingly touching to me. I can't thank you enough. Please don't forget that I never sought to win a Grammy. My goal was to try and make music that remotely did justice to thatgamecompany's masterpiece. I could never thank them, or you, enough for this adventure.

Me and my friend had come to the edge of the abyss, but I stood upon the hill as they began their descent. Soon, my companion had realized that I was not following, and looked back up at me. I in turn beckoned to a different route, one with which they were not familiar. Through that route, we found more remains of the ancient civilizations, and left over energy. From that point onward, if ever I veered from the main course, my partner would immediately follow.

I was looking for nice ambiant music to listen to when I stumbled across this gorgeous soundtrack.
I haven't played the game yet, but I've been listening to the first five tracks for a while now and I can't shake off this feeling of marvel and magic everytime. It's absolute bliss. I can't wait to get my hands on the game.
Austin, you have created a beautiful fantasy land that has made us laugh and cry. Journey is not just a game, it is an experience, that you have created for all of us.

I may have listened to this masterpiece a few hundred times by now... all the while enchanting myself with thoughts of reality, consciousness, the passage of time and other fancy subjects that I have no clue about and yet put me in a trance! A BIG thank you!!!
This piece of art does more than touch the soul or mind, it almost transcends the reality and takes you to a realm of sense. I will never forget the moment we got so lost in each other's eyes with my would be wife, i knew then and there she was the one, i had come to the end of the journey as a lone soul and ready to embark on a new one with a lifelong companion. It was unforgettable because this piece of art was there to help us set our souls free :) To all of you lone wanderers never lose hope as there's joy at the end of the journey!

if you play this at a slower speed, it suddenly takes a really dark turn.
Elanor Cemore, that’s because it’s being played in a minor key. Music in minor keys sound dark...yes all of them.
