Use masking tape overlapping a little. Then with a marker, mark your edges. Remove tape already patterned. Cut patterned tape. You could use the pattern straight on to metal like a sticker to transfer on to metal, or transfer to a cardboard for future reference. This way is easier, faster and more accurate. ✌️😎
I tried that a while back and got frustrated so I added painters tape and covered the entire piece then pulled it off and added it to the template was easier for me
Is reinforcing the arch a preventative thing for rust or is it something that has to do with the hydraulics? I'm curious because I'm restoring an '86 Cutlass Supreme (your videos have been excellent btw)
I have a 79 regal that had hydros but when I got it it was on springs had some bags laying around so now it's bagged on some 13" hope to start working on it and load videos

That's a great idea 💯. Yeah it gets frustrating having to keep going back and forth trying to get the shape desired.
