Oh my goodness, but you had me laughing so hard -- because I can so relate. When I was younger, I was quite active and on a trip to Hawaii, my husband and I decided we would go down Waipi'o Valley (it was closed to the public in 2024). The trail was steep and most traveled back and forth via 4-wheel vehicles, but I wanted to walk. It was invigorating and beautiful; however, the return was hellish. My husband took a picture of me at the moment I was thinking of laying down to die and now, looking at it, I can laugh. I learned that biking, running, weight training, is no match for Mother Nature's training grounds. Blessings...
