wenn a finn speaks english, he may have an accent - but you will understand the words. the challenge for a finn is not to pronounce every letter - because that is how they are pronounced in finland. there are no silent or omitted letters so the word "cough" would be pronounced co-ug-h" when the finnish mindset controls the tongue. while you would just pronounce it "coff"
Hadn't followed up with their songs other than Thunderstruck. Thanks for this. I'd love to hear more and I need to remember to listen to their other music
Awesome!!! I'm really happy that you reacted to this song because it needs to be heard by more people. Their version is one of my favorite songs! Not just a favorite of their's but of all time! It's one of the few cover songs that I actually think is better than the original and I liked the original but this one is phenomenal.
Hahah I love this Finland appreciation intro 😂 I hope you can experience the best of Finnish culture and surroundings some day! And when it comes to this band, I'd suggest to check out their Nothing Else Matters cover 😊
Dude, what earned you my subscription was right in the start: You actually know more Finnish metal bands than just Nightwish. And not just any bands, but one of the very best in its class, Wintersun.
This is a fine, fine version of November Rain! Very finnish too 😄 Thank you Thomas, it was lovely to see this on your channel! There's a finnish cover band that got a lot of radio play in the 90's called Vilperin Perikunta. They made a lot of fun covers with crafty finnish lyrics, my favourite is their version of Down Under by Men At Work. th-cam.com/video/q1Y1Y1GoS8M/w-d-xo.html Their sound and style is a bit different, but Steve n' Seagulls always reminds me of them. And there's a banjo! 🤘
Yeah great cover, really good musicianship. Seen this one a while ago. Just great, the only thing that tells us that we're not somewhere in the deep south of the U.S. are the pine trees! Love it..! Have a great afternoon, and see you later! 🎼🎶🔊🤘
Yeah it's a really nice cover! In fact I suggested it to a small reaction channel back in time, and the reactionist played it. The day when they name Bluegrass/Seagulls before Kimi as Finland's contribution to the world culture, can't come too fast. 😜 Noora is in my very top vocalists, so of course I watched her visit to Seagull's nest. Eden made a wonderful country song too. And I can somehow figure that, but then they made Janice Joplin's "Piece of my Heart" also a country tune... and its lyrics were just fitting to the genre! And Noora's transformation to a country singer was so good. Was such a wonderful episode to watch for me. I'm glad to these guys became popular. Their music videos makes one smile.
One of my favourites with Steve'n'Seagulls is Burn by Deep Purple, not a song I knew before so I went in completely blind and it was awesome. They truly rock that one, it's like it's made for accordion and weirdly tuned steel guitar. Or whatever that guitar is, it doesn't sound like any guitar I have heard before at least. But it's perfect. :) th-cam.com/video/MaxI_QKH0dY/w-d-xo.html
What I really like about their covers is that you can actually understand the words of the songs

This one, and their cover of Nothing else matters are my two favorites.
Cemetery Gates
Sleeping Sun with Tarja is another good one. And many others too, but as a huge Nightwish fan I had to highlight that one :)
It's such a cool cover. Gives it a totally different feel. Love it.
I always get a smile out of their version of Pantera's Cemetery Gates gone Polka.
Oh my goodness, I need to hear that! 😂
@@ThomFoolery1 It is pretty neat 😂😂

Hope you’ve had a chance to see them live. Can’t wait til September to see them again. They are fantastic and super nice guys. 😊

Kiitos! I'm glad you approve. I could get used to the Sauna lifestyle 😂
@@ThomFoolery1 Haha yes! I swear I'm not kidding, but even our dogs enjoy going to sauna.. 🤦♀️ Welcome to Finland 😁🇫🇮
What the drummer used were two birch whisks. You take thin birch twigs, de-bark them and tie them together. Then you can use them to whip cream with.
That's awesome! Thanks for explaining 😀

Kiitos! Wintersun are incredible. 😃🤘
SUPER COVER :) I LOVEEEEE since many years :)
A bit of Johnny Cash in the voice! I wonder if they rehearse in sauna? Really like these guys!
Love your reviews dude, and this is no exception! Awesome!

Cheers mate! Have a great weekend. 😃
Great version of a great song. Watch the Seagulls nest with Tarja or their version of the beautiful rock ballad sleeping sun with her.

I think this song fits much better in this style... It's beautiful...
This is a totally new song.
Nice reaction🔥
Kiitos. Next EDEN - Noora Louhimo & Steve´n Seagulls videos FI.
Seconded. Noora. And made very nice country song.
Sounds like "Dust in the wind" from Kansas

So does Finland have Appalachian people or did they just adopt the Appalachian American culture?
It’s a totally different song.
