    It is no coincidence that you are speaking to this subject today. I am in the process of conversion after 40 years as a Baptist, and I was researching this very topic just last night! Praise be to the God of Heaven who hears our prayers and is faithful to respond!!!!

But please pray for me and my wife. She is not convinced, and it has caused difficultly in our marriage. I am patient and faithful that God will help her accept this. And she has been coming around to accepting my conversion. Please pray that she will continue to accept my new faith tradition, and that she may possibly do so herself!

      Zero primary sources point to that. It’s a theory that survives because of Alan de la Roche, who is erroneously called “blessed” (he was never beatified), a man who fantasized about the BVM squeezing her breast milk into his mouth. He was a disturbed man who had many ideas and Dominic getting it from the BVM is one of them

    The way of praying the rosary mentioned at 6:00 is still a tradition in Croatia, so in other central European countries other than Germany that was mentioned.

    Sorry Fr Gregory, completely wrong on this one. Fr Calloway has covered the origins of the rosary extensively in his book ‘Champions of the Rosary’ for anyone who is interested or you can just listen to any of his talks on TH-cam. The rosary has divine origins, given by Our Lady to St Dominic. Also worth mentioning St Louis de Montfort’s book, arguably the greatest book ever written on the rosary ‘The Secret of the Rosary’ who also defends its divine origins with St Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche. It’s extremely important that we do not deny its divine origins. Ave Maria!

    • @JMJ-Jim
      @JMJ-Jim ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree, and I think there's a real danger in removing Divine Intervention and Our Lady from the Rosary's origins. Sad a Dominican is preaching the prayer evolved on it's own. Ave Maria!

    • @kyrieeleison1243
      @kyrieeleison1243 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Sorry, but any Catholic historian knows that is a made up pious fable. Pious legends in the Church are edifying and not to be ridiculed, for miracles certainly happen, but you shouldn't deny history in order to cling to a version that you like better. The way the Holy Rosary developed as Fr Gregory explained is not opposed to the idea of a divine origin, for the Lord guideth his Church.

    • @Theosis_and_prayer
      @Theosis_and_prayer ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @kyrieeleison1243 You need to read 'Champions of the Rosary' by the holy and academic priest Fr. Donald Calloway. His scholarship refutes your impious position. Even Dr. Scott Hahn (a former teacher of Fr. Calloway) has commented on how well Fr. Calloway conducts his research - with incredible detail.

    • @seanmetz6616
      @seanmetz6616 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Even Fr Calloway talks of the early development of the rosary as described here. He even states that when the BVM appeared to St Dominic, she told him to preach her psalter which had already existed to some extent as just 150 Aves, which at the time were only the first half. The original mysteries selected were to refute the heresies of St Dominic's time. It started as a simple pious devotion but received Divine endorsement.

    Matthew 6:7-8
    [7] “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

      The book Champions of the Rosary by Fr. Donald Calloway covers that question pretty well. It's got a very solid history of the Rosary. Short answer is that there's a lot of evidence that St. Dominic got the mysteries from Our Lady, which is affirmed by many saints and popes.

    I can disprove the trinity.
    The creeds say that the father, son, and hs are all “God”. It then says that they are not equal to each other.
    My question then is: are they all perfect?
    Yes
    So the father possesses ALL perfect attributes and no imperfect attributes.
    The son possesses all perfect attributes and no imperfect attributes.
    The hs possesses all perfect attributes and no imperfect attributes.
    So the father=all perfect attributes
    The son=all perfect attributes
    The hs=all perfect attributes
    Therefore father=son=hs
    Alhamdulillah for Islam!!

      The holy trinity is One true God with three distinct persons is how the Catholic CMA church roughly defines it. They do have equal divinity. I don’t know where you heard it was labeled as unequal. That would be false. Hope that clarifies!

      You're not understanding the distinction between person vs. nature.

      Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
      Conscience, Speech, Life.
      God is a being that is unlike all creation.
      He has a conscience, meaning he is sentient.
      He can speak.
      He is a living being.
      Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
