    Ephesians 6
    14¶Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
    15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
    16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
    17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
    That's the full armor of God to a Christian. Don't be fooled by the devil to make you think a man made thing like rosaries and holy waters can protect you from his attacks. Take on the biblical armor of God. Don't believe what satan tells you but believes God. The devil knows how to play his game and most people fall culprits.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    I was a sinner, until many signs where given to me by God. until a rosary suddenly hooks up in my car keys one day i was getting it on top of a shelf (been doin that for 2 years). I know that Jesus is calling me that day. I starting reading the Bible cover to cover. Now i have this deep relationship to LORD.

    The original Rosary consisted of praying the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries every day. I know it may seem tough, but it is definitely possible by the Grace of God! I pray that everyone tries to pray all 3 Mysteries a day (possibly 4 with the Luminous Mysteries if you can!) God bless everyone.

    We also believe that as God is one in heaven and on earth, so is His Church one in heaven and on earth, the one Bride of Christ; if a sinner like me is a member of Christ's body through baptism, how much more are the Saints in heaven who are perfectly united with God and His Church in heaven. Praying the Rosary brings us closer to the reality of heaven, constant prayers to God in unity with the Saints. It is in the Bible, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

    I Pray the "Rosary" EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!! Question Father. The days in which we live, as you're WELL AWARE, are very sad and somewhat confusing. Many non-Catholics have been speaking about "The Rapture" for the last couple of years quite INTENTLY!!!! My question to you is, why isn't the Church talking about "The Rapture"?! I know we believe in it!!!! And what are your thoughts on it?!

    • @janetcorrao5072
      @janetcorrao5072 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You've answered your own question: non-Catholic. It is a hopeful sentiment from the mid 1800 with no foundation for practicing Catholics. Our Lord never promised, like Our Lady to many seers, that we would not experience pain or persecution here, only, with perseverance, joy in heaven. Sorry, no easy way out, only help and love through .

      No it's idolatrty.

    • @eagletrigger
      @eagletrigger ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ashbyt1 No it's not. The rosary started when the common folk, in imitation of the monasteries who prayed all 150 psalms daily, started praying 150 Our Fathers instead because they didn't know the Psalms and Bibles were too expensive/took 3 years to copy for anyone to get them. Over time, others prayers inspired by the Bible were included, eventually settling on the Our Father, 10 Hail Mary's, and Glory Be that we know today. Each decade was then given a Gospel/NT event for the praying person to reflect on.
      The rosary has, and always will be, a means for us to reflect upon important Scripture passages. In this way, it's not idolatry, it's a means for us to grow closer to God.

      @@infamousgrizzly1358 pray: transitive verb
      : ENTREAT, IMPLORE -often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea
      intransitive verb: to make a request in a humble manner
      Prayer is not solely worship. In fact, by it's original definition, it was not a form a worship, but a means to implore someone or something for help. Take a course in Shakespeare and you'd understand this as he uses it quite frequently.
      Now, regarding Mary, we don't worship. Nor do we the saints. We worship only the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). But just as we can ask our fellow man here on earth to pray for us when we're in need, why can't we ask those in heaven, who remain our brother and sisters in Christ, to likewise pray for us in need? Sure, you can just pray to God on your own, just like you can go before a judge and plead your case. But wouldn't you want a lawyer who knows the lingo and is on a similar level to the judge to plead your case instead? The saints are in heaven, right there with God, in his Divine presence. Would that not make their prayers all the more pure before God (since no sin can be before his presence)?
      Also, the prayers of the rosary are biblical. The Our Father is a no brainer. The Hail Mary is a combination of the greeting by Gabriel and Elizabeth in Luke. And the Glory Be draws from various verses glorifying the Trinity. These are true prayers, unlike the half-hearted BS you constantly spew and call prayer.

    • @eagletrigger

      pray: transitive verb:
      1: ENTREAT, IMPLORE -often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea
      pray be careful
      2: to get or bring by praying
      intransitive verb:
      1: to make a request in a humble manner
      2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving
      3/4 of the definitions for the word "pray" have nothing to do with worship. The original meaning of the word meant to request or ask for someone aid. If you ever read Shakespeare (which I highly doubt you have) you would know that he used it very often when characters asked questions in need of an answer or when needing help. So your understanding of what prayer is is fundamentally flawed to begin with.
      Now, let me state emphatically, we only worship the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). When we pray to saints, we are asking for help. It's no different than asking a family member or friend close to pray for us. Except, the saints are in heaven, therefore they are no longer tainted with sin, unlike us here on earth. So it stands to reason that their prayer would be more pure and efficacious than ours here.
      "Well, I just pray to Jesus. That's all you need to do." Ok, fine. No true Christian says you can't. You should. God wants us to talk to Him, to bring all our hopes, worries, thanks, and problems to Him. All praying to saints does is asking that they, in its lowest form, put the good word in for us and our intentions. You could go directly to a judge and plead your case. But wouldn't it be better to get a lawyer who speaks the same lingo, knows the law, and can better argue your case before the judge? It's not a "one or the other" situation. You can pray to God AND His saints without taking away from God. To say otherwise is to put limitations on the limitless God. Which begs the question what god do you truly worship then?
      For all the Biblical verses to help prove my case (because I know simple logic is to your kind what sunlight is to a vampire), go here: www.catholic.com/tract/praying-to-the-saints . God speed.

    Fr Chris, once again you offer a fresh way to look at the beautiful rosary (and some good humor to boot). I never thought of the “Hail, Mary” as beautiful background music, and I totally see it now. And I pray Luminous Mysteries every Thursday at my weekly Adoration hour. My oldest son Connor played baseball at John Carroll University and they would pray Our Lady of Victory, pray for us ✝️❤️✝️

    Only Jesus has without sin. There's no mention about Mary being without sin. Hence she is not holy. Jesus instructed his disciples to pray the our father. He never told anyone to pray the Hail Mary. These are facts stop manipulateing these things to conform to your teachings 😢Jesus said i am the way and the truth and the life nobody comes to the father but through me. He didn't include anyone else. Pay attention.

    • @DivineMercy_Official
      @DivineMercy_Official  ปีที่แล้ว

      Regarding Mary having sin or not, in Genesis 3:15, both Jesus and Mary are said to be in a state of "enmity" against the serpent, which in the original Hebrew means "complete and radical opposition" to Satan. It is for this reason that it is not likely that God would have permitted Mary to inherit the condition of "original sin" from Adam and Eve. Any participation by her in the disorder and corruption of the soul that the rest of us inherit from Adam and Eve would place the Mother of Jesus at least partially under the sway of Satan and evil, and thereby contradict the complete "enmity" between Mary and Satan prophesied in Genesis 3. She still needed a savior to preserve her from sin in the first place because Jesus could not have co-existed with sin in the womb of a woman who had any sin.

      Hail Mary is in the bible: Luke 1:26-56. The angel hails her, tells her she is full of grace, and tells her the Lord is with her (Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee). Elizabeth says she is blessed among women, and says blessed is the fruit of your womb. (Blessed art though among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus). Elizabeth calls her Holy (blessed is she who believed that the Lord said would be fulfilled). Elizabeth then says, how is it that the “Mother of my Lord” should come to me? 👉👉👉The rosary is the Biblical story of Jesus and Mary, and yes, she is a part of the story. The prayers of the rosary come directly from the bible, and the meditations are on the events in the lives of Jesus and Mary:....his birth, his life, his death, his ressurection etc etc. 👉👉 This is what foolish protestants are atrtracking when they attack the prayers and meditations that are found in the rosary.
    👉👉 Here are a few scriptures (among vast amounts of others) that protestants skip over, reject and ignore:
    👉👉 The "Hail Mary" comes from LUKE 1:24-48. God's own messenger, the Angel Gabriel greets Mary with: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee" (grace is the state of purity that God gives to humans by which we are saved)
    👉👉 THE LORD'S PRAYER: (the Our Father) comes directly from Jesus and is part of the rosary.
    👉The Apostle's creed is a statement that we believe the truths of the bible about Jesus,
    👉The "HAIL HOLY QUEEN" is found in REVELATION 12:1...A great sign appeared in the heavens, a woman cloithed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and on her hewad a CROWN (signifying a queen_) of 12 stars. Rev 12 tellsa us this woman is the woman who gives birth to the male child who will rule the nations. (the child, of course is Jesus, so we know the woman is Mary)
    👉👉 The rosary comes from thwe bible and is based on the bible. It is the great chain that will bind satan as is spoken of in the book of Revelation, and unlike the made up prayers of protestants, it actually IS biblical and it puts the focus on Jesus and
    Mary instead of ourselves and our selfish wants,. yet they attack it. ...why? Protestantism is a protest against the church that Jesus established, and protestantism comes from Martyin Luther and other men who started the protestant "reformation" in 1517. It does not go back to Jesus.
    👉👉 REV 12:17 The dragon wages war with the woman and protestants do the work of the dragon.
    👉👉Nothing in the bible forbids using a material object to help you focus on prayer. That is vastly different than using a matrerial object for occultic purposes.
    👉👉 "Vain repetition" simpkly means "insincere words" and you do not know whose prayers are sincere and whose are not. In REVELATION, it tyells us the 4 living creatures that are before the throne of God, REPEAT day and night: ..."Holy holy holy is the Lord of hosts, who is and was, and is to come"
    Y👉👉 you protestants should not be scrutinizing / monitoring or condemnuing the prayers of other people, nor should you compare what they are doing to what is occultic, because beariung false witness is a very serious sin, yet protestants do this daily. MATT 7:2 The samne judgement you use to judge others with, will be used to judge you.

      How about Holy Holy Holy sung by the angels? That is repetitious. He abors vein repetitious prayer for the sake of only being heard and to look holy. That's not people who are truly praying the Rosary, which is all scriptural

    • @Revelation18-4
      @Revelation18-4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DivineMercy_Official Not the same thing. Angels singing in a chorus is not praying on beads. The pagan rosary, being prayed to Ashtoreth, is not biblical. If Jesus wanted us to use prayers beads, he would have given the apostles instructions on it. The rosary is a pagan practice. You can't take something that is pagan and try to make it Holy.

      Who worships Mary? Certainly not Catholics. That has never been Catholic teaching and never will be. There is no encyclical, papal bull, or any kind of magisterium statement in the history of the Church that says to worship Mary. So please be careful of the sin of slander in saying something very damaging that is not true. "To pray to" doesn't necessarily mean "to worship" but "to ask." Haven't you ever asked anyone to help you? We ask Mary to help her lead us to her son. To bow doesn’t necessarily mean worship either. The Hail Mary prayer is in the First Chapter of Luke as the words of the Angel and Elizabeth. Even Mary said in the Bible, "All generations will call me blessed" .... why can't non Catholics? The Rosary is entirely biblical, that is what the mysteries are. The Annunciation (Luke 1:28), The Visitation (Luke 1:41), The Nativity (Luke 2:7; Matthew 2:1), The Presentation (Luke 2:22), Finding Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:46), The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan (Matthew 3:16 & Mark 1:9), the Wedding Feast at Cana (John 2:5), The proclamation of the Kingdom (Matthew 10:7 & Luke 9:2), the Transfiguration (Luke 9:29; Mark 9:3), The Institution of the Eucharist in John 6 & Luke 22:19, the Agony in the Garden (Luke 22:44), the Scourging at the Pillar (John 19:1 & Matthew 27:26), the Crowning of thorns (Matthew 27:28 & Mark 15:17), the Carrying of the Cross (John 19:17), the Crucifixion (Luke 23:33 & 23:46), the Resurrection (Mark 16:6 & Matthew 28:6), the Ascension (Mark 16:19 & Luke 24:51), Descent of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4), The Assumption (Judith 15:9), and the Coronation (Revelation 12:1) are all in scripture. These are what the mysteries of the Rosary are and what the Rosary is all about. God bless and know you're in our prayers.

    Oh,........ the Holy Rosary is very alive in the BIBLE, in the book of the New Testament. We just don't see it in words.
    Reading the BIBLE has a lot of things to do with the gentle but strong, amazing and enlightening Touch of the HOLY SPIRIT only humble hearts can see, feel, recieve and understand.
    The HOLY BIBLE is fully and totally covered by the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT. Every Word is blessed and should not be taken word for word, but by asking and calling on the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT who dwells only in the humble heart and mind.
    The HOLY ROSARY CARRIES THE DETAILED STORY OF THE CHAPTERS OF JESUS' EARTHLY BUT DIVINE LIFE.
    WE MEDITATE, CONCENTRATE AND REFLECT ON OUR CONNECTION AND PERSONAL RELATION WITH GOD, AS WE RECALL AND REMEMBER WHAT JESUS HAS GONE THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE ON EARTH TOGETHER WITH HUMANKIND AS LORD, SAVIOUR AND GOD.
    PRAYING THE HOLY ROSARY IS NOT JUST SIMPLY PRAYING IN WORDS BUT REALLY NEEDS OUR SPIRITUAL MATURITY.
    WE DO NOT ADORE MARY AS SUPREME BEING THE WAY OTHER RELIGIONS
    THINK, RATHER WE ASK THE INTERSESSION OF MARY AS MOTGER WHILE WE PRAY TO GOD. THIS IS THE TRUTH BEHIDE PRAYING THE HOLY ROSARY THAT OTHER PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW AND UNDERSTAND .
    WE ALL HAVE MOTHERS WHO GAVE BIRTH TO US
    AND BREASTFEEDED US.
    DON'T YOU LOVE YOUR MOTHER ? Are you not hurt if your mother will not be accepted and respected by people ?
    Mary is the earthly Mother of Jesus, our Lord and GOD.
    JESUS LOVE HIS MOTHER AND IF YOU LOVE JESUS, YOU SHOULD ALSO LOVE, ACCEPT , RESPECT AND GIVE RECOGNITION TO HIS BELOVED MOTHER MARY, THE CHOSEN ONE OF GOD THE FATHER, TO BE THE MOTHER OF HIS ONE AND ONLY BEGOTTEN SON , JESUS CHRIST.
    MARY IS THERE WHERE
    JESUS IS. MARY IS IN HEAVEN TOGETHER WITH GOD.
    WHY NOT ASK THE ASSISTANCE OF MARY ,THE CHOSEN ONE OF GOD ?
    MARY WAS NOT ONLY CHOSEN BY GOD, BUT REALLY MADE HER THE MOTHER OF HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON , JESUS CHRIST. THIS IS THE FULL PICTURE AND MEANING OF THE HOLY ROSARY. IT CARRIES THE DETAILED CHAPTERS OF JESUS' LIFE
    ON EARTH THAT WE KEEP ON REFRESHING IN OUR MEMORY AS WE PRAY THE HOLY ROSARY.
    PRAYING THE HOLY ROSARY IS NOT LONG ENOUGH TO REMEMBER ALL WHAT JESUS HAS DONE AND GONE THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE ON EARTH AS OUR LORD ,SAVIOUR AND GOD BUT, AT LEAST , THIS MAKE US MORE AWARE OF GOD'S PRESENCE IN OUR DAILY LIFE.

    Friends, if God wanted the rosary in there do we not think He would’ve put it in there? We are degrading God’s power when us, humans, add to it? “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

    What about DEUTERONOMY 18:11? Mary is still dead as are the other “saints”. The Bible calls those in Jesus Saints so we all are, who believe in Jesus Christ being the Son of God and what he did on the cross. Praying to someone who is dead still isn’t biblical. Would love some commentary about this

    Whatever this priest says is not evident.. the first few words I agree. Yes, the Angel called her blessed.. That doesn't make her holy (Good) , Jesus himself said Only God is Good in Mark 10: 18..
    Angel was saying She got immense grace from God, also Elizabeth praising her as she got the grace to become the mother of Jesus. In Luke 11: 28, Jesus himself said those who believe and obey are blessed than Mary...
    After the resurrection of Jesus when the disciples praying, Mary was there continuing in prayer. The disci were paying with Mary, not to Mary. Mary was same like those disciples.
    The remaining arguments the priest put forward was only based on the history of Church. The priest himself saying the rosary and the prayers with rosary started in 1214 even though it started in different forms in 9th century. That means after 900 years after Jesus. He says miracles started to work with prayers of hail mary.. I am not disagreeing that in connection with other religions and prayers, they also getting miracles, healing etc.
    Miracles and healings are not the benchmark to check the authenticity of God or approval of God. The benchmark is Given through Bible, we have to check any teaching or practices in comparison with Bible. Now a days Jesus becomes secondary to Mary, we can see it in modern traditions as the number of prayers to mary compare with Prayers to God or Jesus. Think with an open heart, truth will make you free..

In Ex 25:18 God commands Moses to make statues of angels and Numbers 21:8 God commands a bronze seraph be made and looked upon to heal the people. If all graven images are prohibited, please remove the picture you have on your desk as that is a graven image. Protestants use Nativity scenes which are statues of Jesus and Mary and Joseph, do you think that is evil? God bless. Keeping you in prayer.

    Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus

    Father, I don't merely hear your talks, I listen to them.
    I may be wrong about this (but) his question was "is the 'rosery' biblical?" I don't think he was asking about how/why the non-exemplified innovation came about. That's two or three different questions. I'm not arguing against praying the Rosery per-se. I'm making a point about honoring people's actual questions.
    The worst example of this from our anti-Logos society is when the media presstatutes ask a puppetition a question and he/she ignors the question and answers something that wasn't asked as an evasion. Typical in Godless America that intentionally left God out of its authoritative constitution. I wonder if Leo XIII recognized that anti-catholic foundation when he condemned Americanism? Or did he just condemn it because he knew it was simply licking the oligarchs bootstraps and would result in what the people have now. What a wonderful Pope!
    It's fine to explain the tradition (but) strictly speaking, the honest answer was no. Its that "... yes be yes and no be no..." formulation. You could have at that point followed-up with your helpful analysis of the what, why and when.

      My response included the follow-up. Read it again. He read the question that asserted that the practice isn't in the Bible. That's the context of his question. In that context of no one actually praying it in the text NO is the answer. As stated, I'm not against it.

      At the bottom of my comment you'll read that I called his talk "helpful". That's a clue for you (and him) indicating that I did listen. Thanks for the correction of title citation. The priest did an accurate question summation there. He focused on the question's context - as did my comment. Correction was warranted. I don't have a dog in this fight. Do you?

      What that calocieialism means is that, for whatever reason, I'm not maintaining a preferential bias with either/any of the participants under scrutiny. If you are rejecting or can't grant charity with respect to a point, even after a clairification distinction has been granted, it's an indicator that your loyally bias has indeed blinded you. Is that why you didn't acknowledge either instance of my clairification distinctions? Everyone, including priests are fallible. I'm NOT anti-Catholic.

    • @LtBRS
      @LtBRS 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matthewjoseph9897
      The reason that people disagree is because they maintain different assumpitive capital. Your failure to grant the distinction qualifiers that I made is a fact. The bias motive itself may be incorrect, granted (but) as there is no neutrality (that's a falacy) you are (like everyone else) bias at many levels. You simply can't admit it. The issue with bias is whether it's a lawful, just or moral bias, not as the anti-Logos world system asserts in their contradictory system that bias is bad. That would make them bias against bias; a manifestation of an anti-Logos position.

    • @LtBRS
      @LtBRS 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@matthewjoseph9897
      Another distinction for clarity came to mind. In order to grant weight to the original question (which is what charity demands) it could have been phrased, "is there an example in the bible where Elizabeth or someone else extends her greeting to Mary 53 times as is prayed in the Holy Rosary? The answer is no. The priest answered "yes" based on his justification bias and went on to elaberate. As the Church doesn't require it, it's obviously admittedly a bias. It's one that I agree with. I'm just honest about it and encourage all Catholics to be likewise.

    There is no question Mary's role in the birth of Christ, the question is does scripture teach us how and who to pray to. Here is what i find:
    Matt 6:5-8
    And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your FATHER who is in secret...
    Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to GOD...
    1 John 5:14
    And this is the confidence that we have toward HIM, that if we ask anything according to HIS will HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of HIM.
    And of course Matt 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our FATHER in heaven,
    hallowed be your name...
    I think we have ample scripture that clarifies how we should pray. I am not anti-Roman Catholic but I believe prayers should be directed to God.

    5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This alone defeats his whole explanation. And Jesus gives the model of prayer with the "Our Farher" prayer. The power of prayer is very powerful. Its no surprise a demon comes along a corrupts a teacher and long behold the whole religion starts contradicting Jesus teachings. Hinduism is a very old religion and its no surprise they also pray with even longer beads. They pray to demons and a demon also told them how to pray. Don't be deceived and follow traditions of blind teachers.

    The Rosary, as an aid to devotion, is neutral. As a fixed series of prayers, it may help some. Saying prayers from the Rosary is like the many videos saying: "Pray this prayer, and you will be rich." It is the author's prayer, not your prayer, but many adherents find the Rosary useful. I am caught in the middle. I have two daughters married to Catholics, and the mothr-in-law of the third one is an Evangelical Apostle. "I do hope that the good Lord has a sense of humour."

    The Rosary (although not directly mentioned in the Bible) is essentially the entire New Testament on a "string". Every aspect of Jesus' life from conception, death, and resurrection to ascension into heaven is what it covers. It may "honor" Mother Mary but it WORSHIPS Jesus

      Thank you but who worships Mary? Certainly not Catholics. That has never been Catholic teaching and never will be. There is no encyclical, papal bull, or any kind of magisterium statement in the history of the Church that says to worship Mary. "To pray to" doesn't necessarily mean "to worship" but "to ask." Haven't you ever asked anyone to help you? We ask Mary to help her lead us to her son. To bow doesn’t necessarily mean worship either. Japanese businessmen bow when receiving your business card as a sign of honor. Are they worshipping you? Certainly not. God bless th-cam.com/video/oh7gDmjX-XU/w-d-xo.html
