  • A recent track day with EvolveGT at VIR patriot course. Was coached by Will Moore Snr. Great day, great coaches.
Anyone new to the track, ALWAYS grab a coach and ask for help, you can never know everything. And you will improve dramatically faster. Building bad habits is the worse thing you can do if you want to improve lap times.
Learn the fundamentals right THE FIRST TIME. Don't just listen to your buddy who knows how to twist his wrist on the highway.

Good good I was able to get coach at Barber which turned out to be awesome. And with the 400s wow you really learn the carry speed.

I know that feeling when a coach pulls up on you and you think oh shit what did i do now?

For me watching videos like this is frustrating and at the same time inspiring.
I've attended several track days but honestly I'm just a noob at 57 years young.
I'm doing what I can to learn more and improve. I agree 100% on getting with a
coach on track to get feedback. I will be doing more of that this coming season.
Thanks for sharing a great video.
    Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍

I think that doing an Advanced riding class where someone films and gives you feedback is probably the best tool.

@@EnoelHidalgo 100% agree, and video is an excellent tool for an objective view. 👍

@@NHlocal Randy, video has enabled me to relieve the experience of track day multiple times over even when it is just one day. One of the things with videos is that even if you are recording the track, it allows one to see the apex and progression through the day. I think coaches also provide critical feedback that is personal.
This past weekend I did a track day at Roebling raceway and after the first session I decided to follow a coach. I definitely improved after following him around the track, but it was the feedback he gave me during lunch that allowed me to drop off 5 seconds of the lap time without me trying to go any faster.

@@EnoelHidalgo That's awesome! My goal is to do that this coming season..... drop 5 seconds off my PB that is. 😉👍

First time at VIR?? You did awesome! So many flip flops at that track that can really tire you out. Love that you kept the R6 on the rev boil, too! Hope you did well at the race!

you ran Patriot backwards which makes the last turn where you get on/off dangerous. if you lose traction there, you hit a concrete barrier!!
