Redcat Kaiju EXT Steering Upgrades! (Steering Rack, Servo Saver, Wider Hexes)

Time for some steering and handling upgrades to the Redcat Kaiju EXT!!!
I have been rather happy with this truck overall - really good performance for the $$$!.
However, I wanted to do a few cheap upgrades to help the steering and handling even more!

Another trick is putting heat shrink on the area with the pin to hold it in

Nice..I was going to get the longer hex's but I ended up running the IMEX wheels and Swamp dawg tires with 1/2 inch offset wider rims..I still havent installed the sway bars yet lol

Different offset wheels is probably more durable than running wider hexes anyway!

I just spent 100 buckaroos on kaiju V1 wheels. Second run in they blew up 😎🤘 lol I sure wish I could afford to blow up wheels.
Not yet but never say die the sky is the limits.

Surprisingly they are the only wheels that I ever bought that sucked right out of the gate.
If I had more time with them I’d have better things to say about them I’m sure.

Great Playlist on the Kaiju EXT. I am very interested in this truck, as I don't have a fast basher, jumper, stunt style truck. You videos have been very informative. I am still contemplating this, the Arrma Fire Team, or the new Traxxas Sledge (not enough info out on this truck yet). I am leaning towards the Kaiju EXT as I love my other Redcats: V1 Gen 8, Gen 8 Axe, Gen 7 Pro, Wendigo RTR, Wendigo Kit, Marksman TC8, and a Camo X4 pro (modded with a Yeti 1/10 front end and Wendigo Rear axle). I have a few others (Gmade GOM kit, Axial 2.2 custom build) but nothing really close to a basher. Have you had any issue with the pillow block style knuckles on the Kraton (and now Fire Team)? I prefer the standard hub/knuckle on the Kaiju and the new Sledge. Thanks for the informative vids!

I have not had any issues with the front end.
Honestly - this is a VERY solid truck, really fun, and GREAT value for your $$$ when you compare it to those other trucks. I mean - it is something like $250 CHEAPER than the Fireteam. You can buy A LOT of spare parts for $250.
Honestly though, this truck, Fireteam, or Sledge - I doubt you can go wrong with any of them.
