    Thank you very much for posting these videos. They are wildly helpful. I’ve been in the hobby now for 42 years and I’ve seen the progress of servos and with the advent of these standard size high torque servos, I’ve always questioned whether or not the claims are legitimate and your videos are tremendously helpful. Please continue with these videos. I really enjoy them. Please consider doing these on a yearly basis.

    These reviews are great! I'm planning to diy my own Baja style 1:6 scale Fpv truck using parts from various manufacturers and want it to be able to "crawl" around town at a walking pace and up curbs and bushes yet also have responsive "get away" speed when needed.

    Good to see Hitec in the review, I have about 20 hitec servos bought over the last 20 years. They build a great servo and they back up their product with a 2 year warranty. I had one go out after 3 years and I sent if for repair. I was expecting to pay about $30.00 and they simply fixed it for free. I also like they are based in San Diego and you call them for tech support.

    Your reviews are always my go to for information before I purchase a product. My latest SCX10.3 build is kind of a budget build with the 1080 esc, tekin 35t motor, amazon 35kg servo, and a Flysky GT5. I run it against a friend with a VS410 Pro with a Mamba X and 2850kv and a Futaba servo, and a Futaba 4PM. He has twice the money in his rig than I do, but i can run all the same lines he does. Thank you for your input and sharing this video. I own a Clodbuster and a Juggernaut, we all know how horrible their steering designs were. And imagine when they first came out, the standard servos back then were only rated around 8kg/cm if I’m not mistaken. I had a Solar Servo D772 rated at 26.5kg/cm @ 6vdc, and it still wasn’t enough to turn the wheels at a standstill even with aluminum servo horns in the axles. I now use the JConcepts BTA steering kit for the Clod, and the Solar Servo D227 rated at 13.5kg/cm @ 6vdc are enough to turn the wheels on carpet or pavement. So I could just imagine what these newer servos could do.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh yeah! There's the problem too where the spec sheet numbers on the servos is wrong and inflated. I have a 45kg servo right now on my Losi LMT monster truck and it's yanking those tires left/right.

    • @galkawarrior
      @galkawarrior 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      RC Review if my servos rated at 13.5kg are enough to move the wheels at a standstill, then definitely those 45kg would throw them around easily. But I don’t think even your $200 Futaba servo could save the Clod from its flawed steering design. There are some purist out there who still uses the stock steering setup.
      My apologies if I’m off topic just now. So let’s get back to it, would you mind actually using the 1cm hole for those servos rated in kg/cm and the 1in hole for those rated in oz/in? I don’t remember seeing if you establish the distance of the hole to the center of the spline with the servo horn you used in the video. I hope I made sense. 😅

    Great, and very helpful, review Francis. In past reviews you have always been a fan of Savox, especially their 1210 series - what happened to change your mind? I’ve been running the 1210 and 1212 based on your recommendation and have not been disappointed at all. At this point I prefer to run the 1212 (which is rated at over 600 oz at 7.4v) as a direct connect via my ESC. I know that I’m probably only pulling 350-400 in that configuration but the servos run forever configured that way. Thanks for the continued great content.

    Do you think I'd see an improvement going with FEETECH 35KG Servo over the Hitec 5645mg? I'm running 2 - 6 cell Ni-MH in a crawler.

    Is the reefs 444 good for a redcat gen8 I herd it was really good for crawlers so i bought one ,but now I'm worried I will burn it out after hearing it's mainly for speed and not torque.

    Hi. I need a bit help. I m going to build a very big and high speed rc. It weight about 40 kilo, equipped with mini jet turbine, speed about of 700km. With such a weight and speed what is the best servo for me? Also I m going to use flap, so what is the vest brush motor? I appreciate if you help me to know my answers

    Can the AGFRC 125KG and 78kg run without an external battery? If so, what voltage would they run at? Thanks!

    Ive bought both the 20kg and 35kg amazon brand servos to run in my TRX4 sport. Installed, set end points on my Flyski and within like 3-4 sessions they have both locked up and failed completely. Running HW1080 and Flysky GT3 and Flysky FS-GR3E. any suggestions as to why?

    Is there a chart with the data from the tests? I created a little spreadsheet. Would be great to have the sizes in the charts.

    The JX servos I got are cheaper than big brands and are plenty fast and strong. To be honest the cheap 30kg servo in my first rig was just slow for a fast offrad but still worked better than stock rtr crap

    If I want the best performance in a servo for any of my RC's, Hitec is the way to go. I had several other brands but Hitec never let me down, wether it was a crawler or a high-speed basher.
