personally i never cared what country a driver was from as long as they were good (my favorite driver in imsa is danish so) i was always a big robby gordon fan, because he raced everything (except like drag racing and sprints) and usually won (sports car winner) he still races, and i met him a couple years ago, very nice guy. great upload
Indycar Racing 2 & other games can be played with VirtualBOX on your PC. I had it on my old pc for awhile and had carsets from 1987, 1988 and 1990-1995 (No one made a 1989 carset) and several old tracks including both versions of the Meadowlands (the long track until 1987 and then the short one from 1988-1991)
+NY32986 , I think the only other carset I ever downloaded for it back then was from that guy who did the GTP mod (look around the channel, you'll see how much I loved *that* series).. As far as emulators, I've done one that I can't recall to play the old Sierra/Dynamix fighter pilot games, but don't recall seeing one for ICR2. Should I go straight to VirtualBOX, or just search the myabandonware website a little more?
I wish I was old enough to appreciate some of this when it was happening. The late 90s had so many great story lines. TK in Trans Am, PT was always entertaining in CART, Robby Gordon could have been so much more if he had a little bit of maturity to go along with the talent, it seems...
+Swine Brothers , Which gen PS? I'm pretty much just playing Forza now. I left Sony & PD when GT5 was delayed..and then came out for the new console. By that time, I'd fell for the paint/decal booth in Forza..could build & paint up cars like the crap me & my friends used to drive for real. But these days, I also enjoy researching (and actually do some collecting of) racing videogames as they got less "arcadey". Still hanging on to my copy of GT2 (first console game where I thought there was real understeer & oversteer), and I might be one of the few that actually was sucker enough to buy Konami's Enthusia when it was new! And "Test Drive: Le Mans", just because it was the first one I'd ever seen that had Road Atlanta in it. ;)
