People reallly have a problem with torturing a video game character but then they have no problem jumping into VR with swords and shit to slice and dice people with their own hands rather than pressing a button
Prolonged suffering that you personally contribute to the direction and duration of, instead of a moment of an endorphin rush with usually not that explicit effects, sans horror games. Yes, one of of those is decidedly easier to deal with than the other, even with the more personal perspective of VR. Particularly as Rockstar went out of their way to spell out how terrible what was being done was to both the character, and how ineffectual the torture itself was as it only got what was for all intents and purposes going by the news details, an innocent man. And was done by a blatantly mentally unwell man being manipulated by men twisting his delusions, need for any kind of validation, and somewhat stunted mental development in order to set him and his friend up as assassins who they can leave to just take the fall, because Trevor wouldn't be considered reliable to count as a witness to get Michael off charges. Does the term "false dichotomy" sound at all familiar?
I spared Darko in my first GTA 4 playthrough, only for him to run like crazy in the runway. The ending, he was flattened by an airplane preparing to take off.
In regards to number 1, Rockstar has explicitly stated that the canon ending is the one where all 3 characters survive so it's even easier to choose the suicidal ending.
In GTA Online, you can choose to either destroy cargo or leave it alone. You only get $2k just to really piss off some poor grinder who's trying to make $$$. That's the worst choice anyone can make

I'm so glad to read the comments and not being the only one who enjoyed from all of the GTA games GTA IV the most. This game is the best GTA game. The story, the atmosphere, the charakters. I really love games with a good story and GTA IV is one of it. I hope R* will bring something like that again. Edit: The only thing I missed in GTA IV is the customisation of Niko. Clothing is very cheep, no hair dressers, no skilling system like in GTA V or even a gym like in GTA SA. It would be really a great experience and a lot of fun to play a GTA game with the mechanics of GTA SA and a story of GTA IV.
Uh I feel like this is too focused on recent games. In Liberty City Stories, you not only have the option to chop someone up with a chainsaw in a meat packing plant, but you also assist a cannibal, who you walk in on gleefully eating the corpse of someone you basically delivered to them.
I was playing GTA4 and spoilered the ending for myself. After seeing, that you get basicly 2 bad ending,i stoped playing and never looked back. The no.1 reminds me of why normal ppl wouldnt play TLoU2 if they loved to play TLoU1.

I loved the torture part. Its not something I could do in real life, so atleast rockstar allowed me to try it out in a video game, where no one actually got hurt.
The Torture part of GTA V was about Gathering Information on Targets during a Sniper Mission. Overall that mission didn't Bother me as much as it bothered many other players.
Does it help or hurt that it turns out that the sniper targets aren't actually who you were lead to believe they were, and were likely just random people that the torture victim 'gave up intel' to put a stop to the suffering? Meaning that, most likely, Trevor and Michael wefe just being taken advantage of by some party that knew one of them suffered from mental health disorder induced delusions and paranoia to take out a likely political or business rival, in a way that would be nearly impossible to link back with certainty to them?
@@alchemysaga3745 honestly the game didn't get to deep into that so I literally have no idea. I'm just going to Assume in the World of GTA those guys were Bad one way or Another.

GTA V is iconic for its own reasons... The game has been out for 7 years and it CONTINUES to take a life of its own... Its a great game. But MAN... GTA IV is SO slept on!!! An actual relationship (or girlfriend) mechanic. Owning multiple safehouses... Also IV feels more like NY, then V feels like LA... Idk why but it does. Man... A LOT got left behind in the move from IV to V
I agree. I HATED the torture portion of GTA V. I normally just fail it until i can skip it. Although my first playthrough I did do the waterbording only since i didnt know there was a skip option. just terrible
I feel the nitty gritty sides to gta are what make the game the most immersive and fun, the light hearted stuff was okay in gta v but it was too comical, the torture scene in v was probably the best mission in the game. Rated M for a reason lol
My favorite thing to do with CJ and the whole eating system was to just go into a place and stuff CJ till he puked. The reactions from the NPC fast food workers was hilarious. At least at the time. Being 36 now I might not laugh so much.
FOR GTA ONLINE #1 attacking other players for no reason #2 attacking players that are a way higher lvl than you #3 being afk for more than 2 missions in a row #4 using god mode then trash talking other players #5 playing music over the headset #6 failing missions on purpose with other players in the mission( like blowing up the car instead of stealing it) #7 kicking players from missions and heists cause of their high lvl #8 thinking you better than other players cause you have duplicated/ modded cars #9 starting fights with other players then going into passive or hiding in a building #10 caring about the K/D ratio aka tryhards

Roman was so proud of me but was interrupted by the fact that I ran him over and then he instantly switched gear and said "You feel better..." (paraphrasing).
im so glad on my first play through of gta 5 i picked deathwish, afterwards i went back to see the other endings and i hated it,
You also don't get to hear Nico's "X marks the spot!" line before shooting Playboy X in the head as well, very satisficing executing that asshole.
@@alchemysaga3745 you got A LOT of time
The bonus content you asked about at the end of your episode was actually an Easter egg for the Reservoir Dogs
The torture scene in GTA V was to open your eye to what the government really does to people.
I spared Darko in my first GTA 4 playthrough, only for him to run like crazy in the runway. The ending, he was flattened by an airplane preparing to take off.
GTA IV ending is easier if you do not take the deal.
I'm so old I remember downloading GTA DLC!
I’m so old I remember buying vice city
@@nickabbott319 I'm so old I remember buying GTA III and thinking damn this game looks like real life
I Love these games and this channel.
That's the worst choice anyone can make
No1 -U shouldn't touch when the guard watching..just compliment how big they are
Dwayne and playboy taught me a lesson I never thought I would learn in GTA. Its better to have back up. Not have money you can't spend. And yeah playboy apt had increased my parkour skill.
2 vids in one day? Blessed.
Killing Trevor is better in GTA 5 as you can get revenge for Johnny K. (GTA 4 the lost and the damned)
I'll be honest I did every single bad choice in GTA V as Trevor.
Real question did anyone honestly choose playboy over Dwayne?
For the comments its seems like everyone but you
You mean from? I went through the game several times and did end up making that choice to see what would happen. Was pretty disappointing for $20K
@@Lawrence_Talbot i thought you meant let playboy live, i was mistaken sorry lol
I never realized killing Michael or Trevor prevents you from getting 100%. Good thing I’ve never done it.
It doesn't
@@gamingphantom6305 proof?
@@OvSpP first time beating the game I chose option A. After I did the Bigfoot learned that you need 100% completion to play it even though I chose A and I didn't even started to do Michael's missions.
1. Lamar Roasting Franklin
Niii-gaaaa
Eddie Low is a freeeeaaaaky character, he has a presence online as well on Bleeder and The Myspace parody in GTA IV's internet, plus a few news updates that play on the radio.
Please do more gta videos and more often,I literally love your videos
Thank you for mentioning that torture mission, was way out of line and the reason I just stopped playing the game.
>silly series
>playable torture in gta 5
Selling to the Altruists is completely in character for Mr. Phillips!
Another thing to note about accepting the deal in GTA4 is kate leaves niko anyway due to him going back into crime. So either way in both endings Niko ends up alone.
The worst one was buying Cyberpunk 2077 💀
In #7, you can also have a RNG where you instantly die of a heart attack. It has happened to me lol
GTA V is iconic for its own reasons... The game has been out for 7 years and it CONTINUES to take a life of its own... Its a great game. But MAN... GTA IV is SO slept on!!! That game had alot going for it that i miss... Namely the shooting mechanics. Shooting felt a LOT better in GTA IV if you ask me. Also the three VASTLY different and speciffic single player dlc's. An actual relationship (or girlfriend) mechanic. Owning multiple safehouses... Also IV feels more like NY, then V feels like LA... Idk why but it does.
Man... A LOT got left behind in the move from IV to V
Herobrine Cyberpunk Niko was not something I thought I'd ever see but here we are
LOL
I agree. I HATED the torture portion of GTA V. I normally just fail it until i can skip it. Although my first playthrough I did do the waterbording only since i didnt know there was a skip option. just terrible
The problem with the torture scene with Trevor is that, while you can choose HOW to torture the poor bastard, you can't choose NOT to.
Just saw Gamerax republish the thumbnail for this video to edit out the mans yellow teeth. Good choice that thing was an eye sore
7:26 wait, am i the ONLY one who NEVER met that guy in GTA IV?! 😳
Interestingly I never met him as well
I feel the nitty gritty sides to gta are what make the game the most immersive and fun, the light hearted stuff was okay in gta v but it was too comical, the torture scene in v was probably the best mission in the game. Rated M for a reason lol
"Grand Theft Auto is a series that gives you TONS of options"
*shows Trevor running around in his underwear per usual*
I prefer his pink poorly fitted dress lol 🤣
People like me are the reason for the torture scene, I thoroughly enjoyed that scene and made every second count. I might be insane.
It reminded me of Manhunt, the first Rockstar game I ever played. Good times.
My favorite thing to do with CJ and the whole eating system was to just go into a place and stuff CJ till he puked. The reactions from the NPC fast food workers was hilarious. At least at the time. Being 36 now I might not laugh so much.
The only reason I took somebody to the cult was because I wanted the achievement
Gameranx wouldn't be gameranx if they didn't have a once a week gta video
Oh Eddie Love, the serial killer without a name
Actually he's got a name he's the Infinite 8 Killer from GTA 5 no joke
final mission of GTA 5 (The Third Way) is the most satifying ending of any game ive ever seen tbh....
I remember in GTA V I didnt return the bike to that kid and later realized he grows to be rich and gives you a shit ton of money
FOR GTA ONLINE
#1 attacking other players for no reason
#2 attacking players that are a way higher lvl than you
#3 being afk for more than 2 missions in a row
#4 using god mode then trash talking other players
#5 playing music over the headset
#6 failing missions on purpose with other players in the mission( like blowing up the car instead of stealing it)
#7 kicking players from missions and heists cause of their high lvl
#8 thinking you better than other players cause you have duplicated/ modded cars
#9 starting fights with other players then going into passive or hiding in a building
#10 caring about the K/D ratio aka tryhards
This video just told me about all the things I should do in GTA.
Thanks! Gameranx
The torture mission is one of the coolest gta missions ever
I find it weird how torturing a person in a video game is like crazy taboo, but running around and imitating public/school shootings is like totally fine. It’s a game. Either be totally for it or totally against it, its weird picking and choosing what’s good or bad for something that’s equally terrible.
I sorta knew it was gonna be only 4 and 5. The San Andreas one was totally padding lol
That torcher in gta5 was pretty fun tho
I mean killing Micheal is the logical correct option bc in gta5 online
Cheng lives as seen in the diamond casino .
Gta online takes place before the story also its Franklin who takes out cheng
The hardest choice is should you go bowling with Roman?
