    1. Wax your liners thoroughly and they’ll never squeak.
    2. Premiums are better suited for tight fitting shells not necessarily for downsizing. 909s are roomy which is why it’s better to use the purpose built themtuition liner for that shell. Premiums are great in Blanks, Shifts, m12s, and sways.
    3. A review for intuitions “universal” liner should include trying them in more than one shell.

    The Medium Them's are just a big skate. Once the Smedium comes out I'd be interesting to hear your thoughts putting the intuition in that size (if you plan on getting them). I'm sure it'd be the perfect fit. The thing with Intuitions is that it makes it very clear how unnecessarily large some skates are. I think most plastic shells (apart from a few) are made for puffy/forgiving liners (to make sizing easier) so a lot, in my opinion, just don't work with with those really thin liners without downsizing.

    I am on Mooooopi 909's with Intuition Premiums and it is a game-changer for me. I have flat feet, and my whole skating career have had problems with blister in my instep. Salomons and some Remedyz are the only skates that do not blister me on the instep. Intuition premiums fixed this problem for me in the 909's. Shoutout to Long at Oak City for the suggestion, because it was spot on.

    I had the v1s since they came out and got the premiums less than a year ago. You can still use the v1. These liners last forever. Def to much room in the thems, added a footbed underneath and it filled it out and helped with the squeak.

    The Them x Intuitions fit the 909s and 908s perfectly - they fill out the shell and do not move around. The problem with the smell even though you bought a boot dryer is because the bacteria and fungi have already developed in the liners when you initially got and used them prior to the boot dryer. If you used the boot dryer as soon as you started using the liners every time, it would not smell. I have the Them x Intuitions and put them on top of my dehumidifier after every session and there is minimal to no smell, even after a couple years worth of skating.

  • @chilli-iceolive-abode2447
    @chilli-iceolive-abode2447 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    First few times I tried Intuitions I hated them. Then I got the Wizard skates and they allowed me to downsize shells and they also felt great with big wheels. I got the THEMtuitions which I also now enjoy for big wheels and finally the FR Intuitions which are markedly worse quality. Obviously that's to be expected for the price, but I'm surprised by how much better quality the THEM ones are.
    The plus points for the FR version is they're super soft in comparison to the other two I've used so I was able to enjoy them with aggressive skates and not just big wheels. I've only been using them a few months and the internal lining is all saggy and has ripped above the heel exposing the foam, but they still feel good.
    That's my essay on my experience with Intuitions 🤓

    • @james-ted-garland
      @james-ted-garland ปีที่แล้ว

      The comparison between the FR and the Them Intuitions is interesting. I just assumed they were the same.

      @chilli-iceolive-abode2447 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@james-ted-garlandI assumed they would be the same as well, but no. For reference I have the Danny Beer THEMtuitions and the white UFR ones.
      The THEM ones are much stiffer round the cuff and the FR ones are just much softer overall. And like I said the FR ones have sagged and ripped internally and I've only had them a few months. I've had the THEM ones for well over a year.

    I had UFRs with intuitions. I ended up selling the intuitions and swapping out to Roces RL2s. I absolutely love the RL2s. You'd probably hate them though, because the heel lock system they use requires laces, and good luck putting the heel lock back in if you take out the laces.

  • @Jordan.Skates

    It's not the rubber that makes the liners squeak, it's the fabric. put a light coating of wax over the fabric and that noise goes away. One thing that can help with odor is using purrel disinfectant spray which gets rid of the odor. I've talked about this some on my channel when reviewing skates with Intuition liners.

    Get a Peet boot dryer with the ionizer attachment. I've never had a smell or any odor, it dries out all sweat and eliminates all possible odors, I use it after every skate.
    I'm not a fan of my premium intuitions, but I will never skate any liner other than my 3m wizard liner, nothing better for me. Love them so much that when they came back up at wizard skating for those that had purchased boots previously, I got a second pair for when the first ones die on me.

    For big wheel skating there is simply no other liner that matches the responsiveness and edge control of Intuitions... Smell is never a problem with bamboo socks (magic, gotta try 😘)
    And yes the downside is you can't just put them in a roomy shell you had with a thick soft liner... Intuition works best if it wraps tight around your feet and is connected with the boots laces... No liner movement no foot movement 😉

  • @swissblader8037

    I have made a similar experience with them on the Razors Cult. I love the Cults because they fit perfect to my feet and I ride them usually with the Seba CJ Foryos Liner which fits absolutely perfect to this boot. But after all what I heared about the Intuition Liners I gave them a try. But honestly, the Foryos Liner is for me the much better choice because with these Intuitions the Cults feel a little bit like a skiboot. The support is great but for aggressive skating they are for me not the best choice because they have for my taste too less flex and they rubbed also too much on my calfs. The tongue is for my taste too big and stiff and the ears oft this second layer on the back are going to far down almost to the sole of the liner in the heel-area. And this, together with the fact that the liner is pretty much padded in the heel- and middle-foot-area, creates a lot of pressure in the heel-area which leads to hard foot-pain if you use them in tighter boots as the Roces M12, USD-Sway, Razors Cult etc. And I have pretty narrow feet. I do not want to imagine how they feel for people with wider feet.... And they have made the Cults also slightly slower than the Foryos Liner. Besides I do not like these backleashs which are aligned vertical and not horizontal like on other Liners. They disturbed me because they touched also always my calfs while skating and they also disturbed me while steping into the boots (they slipped always together with my feet into the boot what annoyed me). So, I will go back to the Foryos liner which has the same support but ways better flex and better feel on slim feet like mine. The intuitions I will use probably for Wizard and Urban skating. I do not know how they feel in wider skate-models. But I can imagine that they are a better choice if somebody rides skates with a wider shell like the Them 909s, Razors SL etc. But for tighter skate-models they are in my eyes the completetely wrong choice.

    Only liner I can skate for 24h without any sort of pain or issue is intuition premium.. Any other premium liners I've tried always fail this simple task🙃. That says it all for me.. I buy shoes that are more expensive that aren't designed to take the beating my liners do and they last less than a year.. I want the best I can get for my feet.
    P. S: I'm a size 47EU in a size xl them shell or 46 blank.. So believe me they get put through their paces.. Maybe I'm on the extreme end of the size spectrum and other liners just work fine for normal feet and not mine. Mine don't smell though🙃.. They air out very quick.. Aggred the wrinkle is fugly. Only downside about intuitions is that they take like two months of daily skating to actually break in and become the best liner you can buy.. Before that they are a pain.. Even frustrating... Don't give up on them is my advice 🙏

    Nice review bro! I suspect that they just don't gel well with those particular skates. In my USD Sways they have been a game changer. Much more comfortable (once broken in - didn't have to heat mold)) than my second skins (which I rate), and I like the extra ankle support (without the rigid velcro on bit they are floppy as hell though). Come on you know 100% they are not worth that. If they're worth the cost then Jordan's are worth the price and not to re-sell them. To actually wear them. Intuitions are trash and it's funny because the reason you hear how great they're is because either A. Sponsored. Or B. After paying $200+ plus for any type of product that goes on your feet to wear. You find yourself spending more time trying to convince yourself that you made a good investment after sitting every one trick, and by the time you decide you've made a bad one, it's yours and you can't turn back by then so you force yourself to like them and trick yourself into agreements with falsehoods. I bet you end up "liking them," more and more, because constant self reflection and convincing yourself about the comfort levels will seem like it's getting better but in reality it's because your stuck with them and after spending a 1/4 of your paycheck, you go to extreme lengths, just to enjoy them, and patting yourself on the back based on false realizations. You also don't even notice the fact they're actually uncomfortable , and think the opposite because really it's just that you can't feel your feet. Might as well take guessing they're great is better than knowing theyre arent lol. My buddy gave me some aeons with some intuition liners and said, "try them but give them back." Of course unless I would pay him a small portion back. At the moment it seemed like a great deal. Really did. Until I wore them. I could feel everything in the boot especially every edge pieces of plastic, especially in the cuffs when i did boot tricks. I know his foot is like 3 sizes smaller then mine so they weren't stretched and also were close to new as well as too big for him but he made them work with his baby footed aeons. Just talking shit not all serious here except on the liners. Anyway. Being that we were friends since high-school he was willing to sacrifice them at the expense of me getting back into skating. I was like these are fn terrible. F these. They would have to pay me to wear them and that's per minute. Especially with the whole customize features that have no science behind it other than, it doesn't move, which is backed up by old science since rubber grips things, and laces tighten things if pulled, as well as cushions under feet helps with impact. Your paying all this extra for literally science proven before the creators 3rd generation were existent as if they made these up and are just hype like Jordan's without the resale value. That's why js are sold or worn and put away like womens high heels. So anyway. After hearing you say that and the lil smile while saying worth it I can truly say, and I understand, if I'm correct, but afterwards there is no way you mean that and I agree with you on those liners and thanks God I wasn't easily convinced otherwise I'd not have feeling in my feet and I'd be arguing about what you said just to continue convincing myself I made a good investment while limping back to work to make money for another bad investment since after buying those I may have just shit luck with money.

    I've had really bad experiences with Intuition liners. I really don't see the hype. I've tried them in Thems, Cults, Genesys, FR, M12 and Elements. They feel so sloppy and stiff in every single boot. And honestly, these aren't THAT good for downsizing since they're so stiff and boxy. Obviously worse in a roomier boot like a Genesis. I've found that Myfit and the new Blank liners are a way better fit and bargain being under $100. And yes I definitely agree on the height of them haha, it's pretty dramatic how tall they are. And the smell!! 😂 It's so bad lol. Spot on review 👊🏻🔥

    V2 and any them x intuition are way much better for aggressive than the premium one...
