M12’s always make people who skate them look super steezy! That extra effort you have to put in. Unfortunately for me they just dont agree with my feet, but they are great skates for people that can get on with them for sure. Killer skating as usual Ben 🤘🏼
You are doing really good on them. I just bought some last month because my k2 fatties were falling apart. I was concerned about soul space and laughed when I found out my size 11 m12 plates were 3mm bigger than my size 13 fatties. It's not a huge deal and the plates lock in. I don't do negative grinds so all is good. Also, did you notice how the back half of the soul plate is angled?
Sorry, but the Roces M12 looks 100000times better than the Faction skates and the soulplates are not so small as you say. You can measure it and you will see that the positive side has almost the same width as the Faction soulplates. Merry Christmas!😉
Your movement looks way more steezy in this video, you upper body and arms are way more relaxed. I'm not even sure it it's different or I see it differently, you upper body and arms are generally a bit tighter, stiffer. You seem to flow more, move more loosely in this video.
I am currently debating on the Aeon's and the M12, could I ask your opinion between them? Also I agree with odd pressure/pain disappearing after a bit in weird ways.
Always hated the "cheating" super wide skates because they look fat and most people develop very bad style riding them because they are so forgiving. I started blading on the TRS lightning, tried many many brands and types of skates over the years, and still skate m12 today. They improve my style by making me work for the trick, and I'll always prefer a good looking simple trick over a sketchy triple switchups.
Hey ben! have you ever skated the razors shift? and if not would you ever consider skating them for a review/first impressions if someone sent some? id send mine for the review if i could but theyre my new main blades and im honestly just curious what you think of the shift boot vs the cult or SL boot. especially as someone whos skated the cult pretty extensively from what ive seen on your channel. ive personally had a great time on my first day on the shifts, locked onto my soul and makio grinds just like i wouldve with aeons or sl's but downsized for my shifts from a 10/11 to a 8/9 boot and have had a great first experience with downsizing because of the myfit secondskin lomax pro liners.
I am not Ben but I am a friend and I also have tried the US 8-9 Cults, US 10-11 Shima 1 reissue (Cults), the US 8-9 Shima 3 reissue (Cults), the US 8-9 Genesys, the US 8-9 SLs, and the US 8-9 Shifts. Several Caveats with this. I am a 278-279mm Mondopoint and have found the medium Intuition V2 with a Myfit 3/4 Insole to fit the best in the Cult for me. I have tried the Myfit 2nd Skin in 9-10 and it also fits very well. The Shift for me pretty much requires the Reign V3 liner in either a US 9.5 or the US 10 (which the neoprene scrunches at the toe for me). I would say the Shift is a lot like the tight and precise fit of the Cults but with the structural benefit of the thicker soulplate design they developed from the SL. The SL is a much comfier roomy fit as I also like the Auroux stock liner which is like a Reign V3 in 9.5. I believe you cannot go wrong with the SL, just a super comfortable dedicated grinding skate. My personal preference is a Genesys shell with the US 9-9.5 with a Superfeet hockey comfort just has a great fit and feels like the SL but the royale groove is just a bit deeper which I prefer. That is all for now. Hope this helps!
@@Martz604 this is a sick comment man thank you. ive got a pair of 10/11 sl's that i first learned/tried grinds on (soulgrind, makio, acid, and frontside) that for now im not using because i just recently got a pair of 8/9 shifts to try and downsize since my sl's felt large, the shifts have a larger mondo point proportionally, and i had already bought a myfit secondskin lomax 10/10.5 liner since they were on sale for really cheap from rollerwarehouse. i havent had a ton of chance to try my shifts yet but i like them a lot so far from the tighter look of the downsize, to the extremely responsive feel ive gotten from downsizing. id heard from a lot of people in videos that downsizing can make a big difference so i tried it and because im at the very highest end that can fit the 9/10 shell without discomfort, i think its been a really positive experience so far. im really hoping the harsh weather clears up around me soon so i can finally get out and skate more and get even more chance to see how much downsizing has helped cuz it makes me a lot more confident.
@@Friskybusiness1 This is great! Since this comment I have decided to probably stop skating the US 8-9 Cults I have with Intuition V2s. They semi-work but my feet and toes do go numb/ hurt a bit after a while and I am at a point where I'd rather be comfortable. I think the Myfit 2nd Skin liners still work pretty well in them though. I haven't skated my Shifts enough but I do think they fit a bit more generous than the Cults but not as roomy as the SL or Genesys. Glad I could help!
I have a beatdown pair of the cheap black M12s with shitty old Kaltik freestyles and the wheels that came with the frames. I didn't change the liner or anything else. I can lock in on ANYTHING. I bought a nice pair of 909s. I spent a lot of money setting them up, bought nice liners, spent some cash on frames and wheels...but my cheap Roces with hand me down frames win every time.
Idk what they used to set the bar on their sizing....pixie maybe? I pretty much fit into US sz 9 regardless of manufacturer & model except the M12. I don't even come close to fitting into those...not even with the liner out.
Had a pair of Valo Bacemint edition skates, like you said could fit almost every sz 9 skate brand comfortably except for those. Shoot even Remz and they are notorious for a small toe box. I ride cults cause they’re almost the same but a little wider all around but still slim feeling.
For the price of 150usd complete with frame and wheels you can't really compare them to all the other models that cost 400 just for the boot . The m12 are very good for the price
Welcome back. I bought FM4 for my birthday in April this year. I stopped in early 2000s. Roller WHS is local to me and they've been awesome to work with.
Rollerblades are way to expensive . And for what .. u want to go faster then throw some abec 7 or 9 bearings in your skates makes a huge difference . I prefer the old school mission skates ..
Really making these look incredible! They are already good looking skates too. Roces knocked it out of the park with this particular colorway.
Your style and tricks are infinitely better in M12s. This applies to a lot of sk8ers with hardboot skates and smaller souls.
Seeing you skate these makes me want you to visit the Fifths, but in the 8-9 shell. I think you'd love them even more.
style points ++
always love watching you skate, brotha

The fact that you can complete the dice every time is incredible! Good sesh 😊
Loving the camo & baseball tee fit! 🔥
I love your technique, big fan from colombia!
So much style Ben. Killin it.
I‘ve got these ones at Christmas, they are my first skates and i‘m very happy with them, make veeeeery fast progress
These were my first pair and I love how light they are. Could use a faster soul plate but they’re very durable!
You always skate great. But style really shines trough for you on the m12. Damn.
It may just be the 90s in me but M12s are the best looking skates

Those dice are a great idea! I may need to make my own with more beginner/intermediate friendly grind choices on them though 🤣
Hell yeah! BEK FTW!!!

That’s my unity and you look good doing it

Stylish bruh!
merry xmas from 🇦🇺 much 🖤 bruv
One of the best looking skates ever.
Are the usd aeons or sways better for wide feet?

M12’s always make me miss Valo. The Valo souls always seemed a slight bit bigger & the the M12 boots looked so good skinned
Dogmas my friend
what was your final thoughts on the Rollerblade Blanks?

@@daveshave5247 How do you guys find the M12 in terms of flex?
I liked mine but they are too narrow.
Never liked the look of these but you making them look cool

Your 2nd skins would be better to use 👌🏻
Wth is Mondo? Just started skating again after 20 year break
The length of your feet on mm
its the length of your foot from heel to the the end of the big toe. its a sizing of measurement used in the boot industry

$200 for M12. What are you smoking?
