    What a marketplace website

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The broker marketplace typically involves a digital platform or system where NEMT providers, such as transportation company's , can register and offer their services. On the other side, brokers post trips on the marketplace to find suitable providers to take on trips that need coverage.

      So, basically a load board. I'm a freight broker, and getting approved to be a Medicaid provider is not for the weak! 😂😂😂 I almost said screw that application. I broker over-the-road freight way different. 😩😩😩

      Yes. If you are working with a transportation broker or planning to ask them If they have a marketplace. Many of them do!

    Always great information from you ladies! My question is, are you able to bill through Medicaid if you have an NPI?

    • @Mjbusinessacademy

      You can bill your state Medicaid if you can contract with them directly. This is not allowed in all states.

    How do I determine if my area has a need?
    I am looking currently on Google maps seeing how many NEMT companies are available. I make a list of those that have reviews and those that don’t.
    Then I’m stuck there. Aside from contacting medical facilities that may need transportation, how else can one determine if there’s a need.
    Btw, thanks so much for the info ladies. From Florida and enjoying the content.

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're definitely off to a great start. Contacting facilities also plays a huge part in assessing the demand in the area but you also should be vigilant to what the problems are around you. Here is the link to our mini course which will help you get a better understanding key things that you should consider when looking to start your NEMT business in your desired geographic area.

    I am really becoming seriously interested in this line of work. My husband is a truck driver who loves to drive but is getting tired of driving long hours. This sounds good for him and me as well. I was working with disabled clients and would have to arrange transportation services occasionally, so I know a bit about the need for this type of transportation. Thank you ladies and God bless you.

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have consulted with numerous truck drivers who are looking for a career change, and I would definitely recommend considering NEMT. It's nice to hear that you've been directly involved in arranging rides for your clients, which has given you valuable insight into the demand for NEMT services.
      Question: Have you ever faced challenges when arranging rides for your disabled clients?

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The marketplaces are built within the brokers portal. If you’re interested in finding brokers in your area I would recommend our Nationwide Broker List. mjreliabletransportation.com/product/nationwide-nemt-broker-list/

    Similar to the loadboard for trucks..people competing for dirt cheap rates.amd the foreigners picking them up.which ends up crashing the market for everybody

    Why do businesses need a Middle Man ???

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The middleman often sees opportunities and goes after it. Most aggressive wins.
      Business owners need to be more aggressive when it comes to creating opportunities for their business. The work is there you just have to identify it and go after it.

    Its just like the trucking business. Not all brokers are bad just most are trying to figure out how to keep most of the money for themselves at the expense of the client. I would complain to medicaid. Cheap service is poor service.

    The only way to bring the price of a trip up to where it's profitable for every transportation company is to form a union there are thousands of us across the country former Union and not do any trips until we get the rates that we want I'm not talking about certain Transportation companies getting certain rates certain amounts of money I'm talking about everybody getting the same rate there's a lot of favoritism in this business some companies will get $20 a trip a leg others will get $14 it's time to bring the Brokers and also Medicaid down to their knees if we stick together if we can do that if we can stick together and form a coalition and dictate to the broker for once we will dictate to the broker what we want and what we don't want that's the only way we can win at this game

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is true. I’m not sure that forming a union would work because there is so many moving parts but certainly if Transportation providers would stick together it could definitely make us strong as a whole. This is only of the reasons why we started our channel. We wanted to build a community where we can have these discussions.

      The local area transit charges less but generally these are Medicaid riders ($2-3/leg/mi or whatever) and riders deal with long waits and packed vehicles.)
