So what are the methods nd how can i apply this phrase of "not acting to every other urges,thoughts,sledging or trash talks"
I think it’s like riding a bike and learning the balance points, you have to wobble around to learn it. So sometimes you might overshoot and feel like suppressing is happening, try to allow the automatic thoughts and feelings at that point. Other times you might be engaging with the content with rumination and mental compulsions, then practice letting the compulsions go and coming back to values. It doesn’t need to be perfect, you can only learn by practicing and wobbling around on the metaphorical bike as you learn the balance. Remember it’s all in service of being engaged in your present moment and valued actions so ensure you are coming back to what you are doing is hugely helpful…
I’ll cover in more detail in video, essentially anything can be compulsive if the function is to solve uncertainty, control feelings and reassure ocd doubt. The key here is the engaging is about values and meaningful life goals and it becomes automatic as we train it more, we allow intrusive thoughts in the background and difficult feelings as we engage in things we value. It’s compulsive to give all our attention and extra thinking to the compulsions so we let this go and engage in life. Many people find if they drop compulsions their mind circles back onto more problematic thought loops and also that they are more distracted in their life than they want to be. Therefore attentional training is so useful to life fulfilment and wellbeing…
