The problem with scouting in diamond league is that things are randomly late. Hold your probe there to that timing, and think it's a reaper because the marine's not out yet? Nope, he was just late starting the marine. I've lost count of the times I've thought "if there's no reaper yet, there's not one coming" - I've already got 2 adepts out, so I send them across the map, only for a reaper to show up when my adepts are almost at his base.
This is exactly what the new patch DOES NOT address but it should, talking from a D3 perspective. In PvT, Terran has so many almost effortless opener options, it requires from P a tight scout and a tight build order - while Toss has the worst scout and is the most punishing when you make even a relatively small error. The lower the league, the gap between the effort/skill needed from both sides is visible. That's what makes TvP imbalanced. When the majority of players (mid-lower diamonds and lower) are struggling with something, cos it requires 300 APM, high skill and knowledge - that means it is imbalanced. Is it possible to counter? Yes, sure. But it doesnt make it balanced. Counting SCVs? Come on, this is by far not reliable. To solve the issue, buffing stalkers is not an option, so maybe earlier/stronger collosi? Stronger static defense? Cannons I mean, cos if batteries got buffed by 1%, the cracking butts would be heard around the world.
Shows even the Pax cuts corners when playing against Harstem('s off race). The terrible truth, if you are know that you are just better, you can take some risks that can't actually loose you the game but can give you a further advantage.
If we are breaking this down that deep, we could say that there is also a need to confirm that your opponent isn't blindly countering you somehow. Or if it's completely impossible it means that 3 rax push is just cheese build then
I feel like u missed the robo opener :( what do u do if ur playing robo first with a bunch of observers and 3 gate ways? I tend to try to have non stop stalker production + fast robo bay and then get up to 6 gateways
I am a terran player at 3.6k MMR who opens with 3 rax. To me, this opener seems imbalanced and I get a lot of wins with it. My opponents have a very difficult time countering it, so only now do I know what to be cautious of. Very glad to have you as an operative behind enemy lines, captain.
After watching the whole video I bad for writing such a stupid comment. Other things need to be said. Great video, I enjoyed it and appreciate the effort that must have gone into it. I liked also how (almost) every player had their own color. It makes it instantly recognizable what rank the replay switched to if you forget the names.

Is the verdict no third base vs 3 rax, so even for 2 or 3 gate blink you delay third? That’s my main build and I didn’t see it repped here haha. Maxpax too good and can too sleazy
No, at this point in the game the unit count for 2gate is the same as 4gate as you don't cut a warpin for 2 more gateways. Not getting a third base has no benefit to you as you fight on the map anyway and additional gateways would finish long after the push happens. You get a battery in the natural and if the terran attacks the third you can poke the army to prevent the units from killing it and further kite back towards your battery.

About the probe scouting the first terran unit out of the first barrack: is that so important, because anyway, if reaper comes in your base before your first adept/stalker pops out ? Also, I don't think u want a wall at natural against terran push, because, marines/marauders/tanks can just hit your buildings out of your range, and if u want to couter attack, u need to walk into a narrow choke between your buildings. For my little gold/plat level, I prefer the old Hushang tutorial on how to scout and defend terran early agression : th-cam.com/video/GV9e9WOG4dE/w-d-xo.html
Yes, it is important as evidenced by this video and no a reaper does not come into your base before your first unit is out, that means that your build order is not tight. You absolutely do want a wall against 3rax, it's tankpushes where it can become a problem. A 3rax consists of almost only marines which have 5 range, you can poke them with your stalkers and every additional warpin is really bad for the 3rax, it has to hit your base before 5 minutes. Hitting your buildings and then getting cleaned up puts the terran in a really bad position. I also do not understand why you think you know better than all pro players.
even with sloppy timing reaper really shouldn't be in your base before your first unit as there's both the production and travel time. That's really only possible if you were incredibly greedy for tech/expansions and even that's bit questionable.

U get your adept after reaper shows up when u do nexus before cyber, which I always do at my level, because the reaper micro at gold/plat is not a real threat and it's just Pig B2GM standard build. Harstem advices are probably good for higher level than mine.
i feel like terran can kill me with even lower counts of marines which is why i make a habit of just teching into banes before 6 minutes hits. I never even plan to make them I just plop the baneling nest in, queue centrifugal hooks and hope i never have to use this horrendous unit. I end up using it 60% of the time.
Ok but how does stargate defense work? Thats the hardest defense by far, and the one where we saw the hardest defeat. ( gpld had 3 stalkers, esarel had 1 adept+2 phoenix, he defended it worse)
it was the first game of the day for me at 3 in the morning. the stargate defense u will have 2-3 gates warping in, so with like 4adepts and an immortal + the phoenixes and battery when the push arrives, and ur surviving til a colossus

@@jeronp420Why do you have to be so hostile? Mechanics is the core of macro, hotkeying everything and keeping up with production, upgrades etc. If you can handle the mechanics well, your macro is most likely good .

Great guide for Terrans: now you can fake 3 barracks and play a quick 3rd cc while your opponent thinks you're about to start pushing him
Not actually great for terran if they play against blink as they can't land that third CC forever.

Zerg is kinda built around it, very much abused at higher levels. I don't like the concept of suicide units so I resigned myself to never play zerg.

You make an immortal, you get sentries and zealots and a battery and defend on 2base.

all it does is help with terran mech map control, once immortals are out they are shit. coming from a mech terran.

this and tank pushes was the reason i quit starcraft. felt like it was that or the other every damn game, i think my pvt was around 30% in diamond
