I really enjoyed the building of expensive prisms, loading them up with not one, not two, but three workers each. I mean who needs them in a two base all in? Then building canons and pylons, then moving the prism in front of the canons to protect the valuable canon from taking any damage or even being in range of the attacking stalkers. Next level stuff!
If only Harstem could teach his nepo brother some SC!!!

Sometimes the sarcasm goes so many levels deep that I can't hear actual compliments.
At 7:19 you say that the contain or harass is doing nothing. Its true but look at the mineral count. What he is potentially doing is opening up a way for himself to have more bases built while keeping his opponent on two bases. This also allows for more cost efficient trades (theoretically.) It would work better if he could multitask though. So I do see what you mean when you say this time it does nothing. I like it, I see potential, add some robo-bay units early, and you can keep them contained to starve them out.
My wife wishes I did that sometimes as well, but just forget to jump away from traffic.

Tbh, I feel like the 4000 mmr players in these replays always do so many bad plays while my 3300 mrr opponents basically micro like Clem.

Did using the prism add anything that couldn't be achieved by just walking a probe over and building a pylon? (No, not really)
Did the cannon rush do anything? (Kind of. It suppressed mining at the gold base)
Was it worth it? (No. Opponent could have just canceled their Nexus and went elsewhere. Even with the cost of the Nexus he spent way more)
Could this have been achieved in a more cost effective way? (Yeah probably sending a Stalker or 2 would have cost a lot less, especially since he sent 3 probes with it...however we did see that when benjamin tried it he wasn't very successful because the execution was poor)
Were there any other factors that were significantly more important this game? (Yes, slowstupid's main was very vulnerable to counterattack. Disruptors did half the work this game. benjamin also could have traded a lot better with the cannon walls if he just waited a bit and massed more Stalkers and Immortals)
The prism does let you start building the cannons at the same time as the pylon, so theoretically it lets you setup a brand new cannon position significantly faster (albeit, much later than you would do a cannon rush timing *without* the prism...)
The time when a Cannon rush would be considered useful is well before a Prism can even get out and across the map. It is efficient if you are trying to set up a contain that has already been spotted, as the Cannons can be warped in quicker. I think a sort of half-hearted contain might be useful if you are already at an advantage (like if the gold base was never discovered), but it won’t provide immense value, especially if you commit as hard as blue did in this game.
