Not really a contest. Nadal hasn't been playing any competitive matches for 2 years apart of 1 in Sweden months ago. It is impossible to be at the highest level just training at home. Anyway, it good to see him playing Joko for the last time. You will be missed amigo!
I don't think it really would have made much of a difference, Djokovic is master on hard court, and the only chance Nadal would have if they played on clay, many people can beat Nadal on hc, even when he's at his best, take away all his clay wins, and he's just an average joe, on hard indoor or outdoor courts.
@@DaveOwen-vn6ie Let's be honest, Anderson choked in the U.S. Open 2017 finals, and Medvedev lost his focus in the U.S. Open 2019 finals, and also AO2022, he just got lucky with some players, as soon as Novak staring dominating, he couldn't beat him on hard court, we saw him get destroyed, before our very eyes, in the AO2019 finals, when many people thought he had a chance of winning! He was still good, but not the elite of the elite on hard court, even Federer started beating him more, despite his choking tendency.
@pauljohnson6019 Are you talking about Anderson and Medvedev that Djokovic beat grand slam finals?!? Many people including Djokovic's fans predicted he would win the 2020 Roland Garros final but was completely outplayed. There was zero shame for Djokovic losing that match and nor was there any shame on Nadal losing to Djokovic in the AO final but for the previous comment to suggest that Nadal was "average" off of clay is just stupid and disrespectful
@@pauljohnson6019U are genuinely delusional and even Novak and Roger wld tell U that.🤣🤣 In his prime on hard courts, he was better than everyone but Novak and Roger, and he could even beat them for the title at times.
how appropriate that 2 greatest players play a match that close one's career.......who cares who won.....they are and always will be champions......hasta la vista rafael.....gracias
Nadal has all his text book shots. However, Nadal has lost his power behind the Ground Strokes. Tennis is all about Speed, Power & Precision. Precise hitting comes through Experience. But, Speed & Power drops with Age. Djokovic still has Power & Precision but Djokovic lost his Speed. He is unable to move faster now
This competition has awful production for video, the color scheme of the court makes it impossible to clearly see the player on the far end... lighting is off, sound of the stokes is way way off... so much money and so poor a production...
Merci 🙏

An average joe that's won EIGHT non clay grand Slams
Yeah, Nadal sucked off clay 😂

Djokovic GOAT
Rafa made it closer than I expected, in the 2nd set, I thought Djokovic would win 6-2 in 2nd set, Fed better for sure, than clowndal!
