Thanks for the video Brandon nicely done with the clearing job. I have a ms251 cuts red oak really good not small ones. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️👍.
Brandon, I had an opportunity to run a 661 last fall. I was bucking firewood in a log pile… fortunately we stopped to split when the pike was too littered. Or, my arms would have come out of their sockets! No way could I have cut overhead, like you did, for very long. Just toting it to the job site is a workout. Is that over by CJ? I drove up 43 Friday to fish at Bushwhacker. The lake was down 4’ and everything that wasn’t irrigated was brown. We’re gonna lose a ton of trees this year! Those shallow root balls tell you all you need to know about what the soil looks like when you get knee deep. If you dig a basement… you’ll find perfect road base down there! Nice job on bowling those sticks down!
Lol yeah my arms were dead after running that thing 🤣 it’s in Webb city just east of the airport. Yeah we need rain bad it’s so dry. Oh yeah I’m sure it will be great clay!
Finally catching up on some TH-cam vids, way behind on your channel Brandon. You planning to try and make it to Louisville for the expo again this month?
That was great! And you got a honkin' chainsaw for sure - basically it's a small dirt bike with a chainsaw chain attached, LOL. You can forget having to go to the Gym now - just walk around with that for an hour or two every day and you'll look like Charles Atlas! Especially if you hold it over your head for a while. I have to say that those shots with the trees coming down right into the camera were outstanding.
Hmmm! The excitement of setting up a new home site. I remember when - where do I want the driveway/street, how to place the house on the lot for the prime sunlight, footing drains, sewers, city water *house # 357* all that topsoil - decisions! You've got a bit of work to do & glad you have disposal site & people! SURELY NOT your first rodeo!
I agree! I enjoy the process for sure. This will be another fun project. Yes definitely lucked out with the disposal site close by. Appreciate you watching as always
The MS 661 Stihl is a good saw. I got mine 2 years ago. Pretty reliable saw. It's the mandatory synthetic 2 stroke oil that had me scratching my head. I was under the impression synthetic oil didn't burn very well in car and truck engines and fouled the plugs out back in the day. Apparently 2 stroke oil chemistry has changed.
I changed all my Stihl’s over to synthetic oil about 5 years ago. It seems to smoke less, foul plugs less and they haven’t needed any fuel system repairs. I like it! PS… I changed over to Premium gas at same time though.
@@sassafrasvalley1939 We can't get any pure gas here unless we order it for the farm tank. Everything at the pump at the gas stations here has ethanol in it. I have to use it all fast or risk the water in the fuel problems. Cheers Bud.
You must have read my mind. I was grading out a yard last week and I thought about your Dad and his TL8 and wondered how he was getting along with it since I haven't seen him on the channel lately. Looks like yall have been dry for a while there and I know it's been hotter than Hades. Stay hydrated bud.
Lol yeah he’s been good just tied up on a bunch of his own projects. It was fun to have him back helping. It’s been terribly dry but we are getting a little rain tonight. Appreciate you watching
That saws a beast. Just a touch over kill haha

Glad to see your dad working with you again.
Yep it’s been awhile but he’s been busy with some of his own projects

It’s a beast of a saw. I think it has definitely changed and it seems like everything is going that way.

A chain saw is only too big when you can no longer lift it. lol
I totally agree 😁

Are you going to have to blast to dig the basement? That sounds like some scratchy stull.
