  • Loading brush and logs on the clearing job. We got all of the trees dropped and the stumps dug out so now it's time to load everything out. The brush and stumps go to a site in the city where they have a tub grinder to mulch them up. They use the stumps for fish habitat in one of their ponds. The tree guys showed up and got the five trees on the back of the property line down so now we just have a couple of loads left then I'll get the dozer moved over to rough grade the lot. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #LandClearing

When you started clearing this lot, I thought what a waste of beautiful trees on a lot. Then you explained why and showed all the hollow trunks, made perfect sense. Easier to take em down now than to land on the house in a few years during a storm. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing.

I agree I was surprised how many were dead and hollow in the center. He plans on planting new trees once the house is in. Appreciate you watching

I saw you got some rain a couple days ago, but it was REALLY dry the day you did this. I'm sure it made your filters happy. We just got rain today after two full weeks. I think it's crazy the way all the people on those lots take so many trees down. I have trees all around my house and it makes it so much cooler in the summer - often 5 to 10 degrees. I guess some people just like to mow lawns. Got a kick out of your dad getting the chair to sit in the shade - great idea!

We got maybe a half inch but the ground soaked it up so fast you couldn’t even tell it rained lol! Yeah you sound think they would want to keep a few mature trees. My trees are finally getting bigger after 12 years to provide a little shade and I bet it’s at least 15-20 degrees under them. He brings those chairs with him for when he eats his lunch lol

It’s likely the lot was burnt off. That’ll kill the cores on oaks…. The roots are right under the surface and get stunted. I have a section of my woods that got burnt about 20 years ago. The trees are all hollow and dying.
Most of the rain skipped around my place… I only got 1/10” out of it. But, that good soaking last weekend is holding the dust down for now.
I’m enjoying these cool mornings. Aren’t you?

That makes sense I didn’t think about that it’s definitely a possibility. Yes I was glad to get a little rain too

Man! Did you see Neil Armstrong while you were grubbing stumps on the surface of the moon? We were dry like that a couple of weeks ago. I graded out 2 yards last week and had to clean my skidsteer out when I got finished. The power rake really kicked up dust, and even with the cab closed up, I cleaned about a coffee can of dirt out of my machine.
Looks like y'all made short work out of that job. Good job.

🤣🤣 I thought I did for a minute. The dust is terrible. I blow out the radiators and air filters every night. I’m amazed the machines can even run

That's a good lookin house across the street. *TOO BAD* your tailgates weigh as much as a mini PU truck as it's nice to switch them around. Hmmm - I'm seeing the shovel bucket sitting there and trees falling *ON THEIR OWN* when they saw it (around 7 minutes!) Pretty slick - how'd you do that? Thanks!
