Awesome Bob👍🏻You’ve discovered the Menards off season secret train treasures.! BIG 😃 when I hear Marks Lionel Trains on Bob’s Workshop 😮 Holy Crap.! Awesome.! I really hope Menards gives you a Subscription.! 👍🏻 Great Video as always and Thanks for the shout out.! 👍🏻😊😎🍔🍟😮
Thanks Mark. Because of you, I might actually buy either that Tuscan red/brown auto carrier or a set of empty flat cars. They would be my first Menards products. Have a great week. Bob 👍🏻🇺🇸🤘 🍩🍰🍟🥨🍔 (The items from a nutritional food pyramid)
@@bobsworkshop5181 Good to hear Bob. I'm planning on picking up one more with my rebates. I messed one up with super glue so I'm planning on a little Bob's Workshop style door removal project. That could make for some interesting footage.! Thanks again for the shout out it really means a lot.! You have a great week as well.! 😊
Congratulations Bob.! 👍🏻 You have a BIG winner here.! WOW Menards videos have done very well on my channel as well.! Not as good as this though. Your channel deserves it.! WELL DONE.! 😊 BIG thanks again for the shout out. Happy Easter to you and your family.! 🐣🐥
I never knew this until my wife stumbled across the "upstairs stash" while looking for clearance stuff. LOL! Mark's Lionel Trains is a great channel!!!!!
@@bobsworkshop5181 I also saw it in a die cast car catalog recently. Fairfield Colletibles AW/Auto World Rat Fink Garage Fas Station Diarama w/Tow Truck.
Great film Bob...it's good to view items up close rather than thumbing through a catalog or searching the web. My main layout theme is winter and Christmas. My wife started a collection of Department 56 (sorry 😄) Snow Village buildings long before we met. That particular village represents the '50s era. I stuck with it and added on from there...'50s vehicles etc. I have added an extension of Woodland Scenics buildings with a WWII military theme including many Corgi vehicles. And yes...some are Panzer gray ! 😄 I do think the Menards structures are nice looking but feel they appear lit too bright. Thanks for sharing your shopping experience. 👍
Hi James. I will probably always keep a few of the ceramic buildings on my layout that have sentimental value. Maybe I’ll just alternate between them and the plastic or wooden buildings. Every couple of years maybe. Have a great week. Bob
Nice to see all the featured items from Menards. Next time I visit, I will have to check out the upstairs! The barber shop looked really shiny, maybe would need extra weathering and a spray of DullCote.
I think the barber shop had some windows that were just painted yellow instead of seeing through to the interior. I think I may like the buildings with fewer or even no figures. There is still a lot about Menards trains and buildings to like though. Have a nice week. Bob
Loved the music that started from the barber shop. It Is from Veracruz, my birthplace here in México. Those Menards cars are ok, but sometimes they have some issues with the couplers and trucks. Buildings are GREAT, but since I am doing a Mexican layout, I am saving even more by scratchbuilding all my structures, ballpark and a horse racetrack included. And yes, you also have more fun. GREAT video as always
Nice Video Bob. Someone needs to tell Management at Menards that Train Season is All Year Long, just not Christmas Season. And to please keep their Shelves fully Stocked lol.
@bobsworkshop5181 That's great. They have alot of neat things there. I found out about the "Hidden Stash" upstairs about 2 years ago. But always seems like just leftovers and nothing much new at my local Menards.
I've only been in Menard's once they do have nice buildings, but there a little to current for my layout. I try to keep to the late 40s, 50s look. Cool video ,Bob. 👍🏻
Thanks. I like Menards buildings too but there is something about them that keeps me from actually owning any. For me, I think it’s two things. First is the price and the second may be how much some remind me of the ceramic Christmas buildings that I already own. (Which I’ve been trying to sell on Craigslist but with no luck) Have a great week. Are you going to the Veterans Hall/Winton Road train swap meet on April 15?
Been about a year since I"ve been to Menard's. Like you, I had to hunt, and found they'd hidden the model trains upstairs, instead of SELLING them out in public!! I wasn't impressed.
We don't have any Menards near us. I have killed some time while traveling just wondering thru the isles and looking at what they sell. The last time I was in one of the stores I did notice the upstairs but did not have the energy to explore up there also. I tried to explain what it was like to my wife and couldn't do it justice. I hope someday we get one of the stores.
@@bobsworkshop5181 I do it all the time lol.. Id save lot of money on shipping and they’re processing fee. When I took a trip to Minnesota, I went to the one of the stores I really like the store. I would buy all kinds of things from them if lived close to one.
Well, I guess I'm not the only one that knows about the upstairs anymore. Menards sent an email today about the new Cripple Creek Jail. Try to escape and Jack the German shepherd will get you.
These menards pre built and lighted buildings are incredibly affordable Unlike Lionel Buildings in menards includes lighting! I've already purchased 2 HO scale buildings And planning to purchase another one
I was up there this week and the selection has gotten smaller. I guess they’ll add the new stuff when it moves back downstairs to a main aisle later this year. I wonder if the locomotives would ever even come to a store.

I think the dog’s name is Jack. And I think he is in nearly all the scenes. I’ve even noticed that the wireless remote that controls Menards new Santa Fe diesels have a picture of that German Shepherd too. Why, I don’t know. But thanks for watching my video. Have a great weekend!

Great video and Great Trains and Buildings.

Oh thanks to your video on the way back from Colorado. I stopped in Cheyenne Arizona at Menards. They had the train stuff upstairs too. :)
Did you buy anything? They have some decent stuff.

All this time I thought the upstairs was just an employees-only area. I'll have to check it out at my local Menards sometime.
I don’t know if it’s every store but the two around me both have an “attic”. 👍🏻 thanks for watching. Bob
I've also had luck at happening upon the off season section of Menards. They have some pretty good deals
Still waiting hopefully for passenger cars.

The Menards app is good for things like this. Also good values on discontinued tools .
Menards has its own APP? Who knew?

The Menards in Cincinnati on Montgomery Road near Fields Ertel. Reading Road had them too.

I prefer warm lighting also
