They are definitely handy. I think I will use it mainly for shorter walks or last minute ones. For the big hiking adventures I will still use my hand held alongside a map and compass.

Always good to carry a compass and map too. I always thought you had decent sense of direction
@GusExplores I do to an extent but up in the hills etc things can change very wuick
