    My plastic gas tank on my pressure washer started leaking gas so I show how I made a replacement for cheap using some common old pvc.

    I'm here to be technical and also say that this was cool!
    A 14" stick of 4" sch 40 PVC holds 0.76 gal in case you wanted to know the amount of fuel he has in his PVC tank. Not including the fittings.
    To get a gallon of liquid in the 4" PVC you'd need 18.38 inches.
    So also, the parts he used was a cleanout adapter + cap, and a regular cap

    I have a questions for you - I'm planning on making a small vapor canister case for my car (about 6") - Does the long-term settling of the gasoline inside the pvc pipe have any affect with the plastic? Does it warp or melt during some time? Thank you in advance.

    • @Gearhead.327
      @Gearhead.327  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would NOT put one on a car or truck, Pvc will melt and will catch on fire if exposed to heat. Also when pvc melts/burns it gives off toxic vapors!
