To small a head for my taste but the precision, control the racquet had Fed could hit insane angles and the heavy weight the racquet had along with raquet head speed Fed generated power and penetrating shots.

Great highlights! Thanks! Sadly I didn't follow tennis until the 2006 US Open, and from then I was hooked as a Fedfanatic. While he's still awesome now even at 39, he has lost the some of that spring in his step and fluidity in his motion that he possessed in his prime. Although he usually dominated his opponents, there were tight matches like this one in which he had to come up clutch. Haas was a terrific player with a wonderful backhand. Not sure why he ran around his backhand to hit his forehand which was inferior to his backhand.

It’s always blown me away just how desperately Federer wanted to win EVERY single tournament. When you’re winning the majority of the big tournaments, one would think it would be hard to get motivated sometimes. Back during his dominant peak, Federer still yelled at the end of really tough matches at the majors as if his life depended on it. The same goes for Djokovic and Nadal. The competitive obsession, and addiction to winning of those 3 guys has just been a site to behold.
