How to Freeze Ginger | Freezing Ginger in 2 ways

Method 1:
1.Peel the ginger
2.Rinse
3.Cut into small pieces
4.Blend into smooth paste
5.Scoop with tablespoon and place it in a plate (or) ice cube trays
6.Freeze for 1 hour
7.Remove from freezer and store the frozen ginger in Freezer safe container
Metho 2 :
1. Peel
2. Rinse
3.Freeze these big chunks of ginger in freezer safe container
4.when needed just take out and grate, and freeze remaining ginger back to freezer.
5.( or to use whole ginger place in water for 1 hour )

Peeling with a spoon instead of a peeler will save a lot of the ginger and is just as easy (even a bit easier) to do!

I love ginger. Any idea of how long it would stay good in the freezer. I generally just use it in Asian cooking, which I have about 3 times a month.

Fabulous video! I love ginger! What is the name of the stainless steel food processor you used to chop of the ginger for the 1st method of freezing. I love this method best since I make ginger tea and put it in my salads, shakes, and soups. I will email you.
