Thank you for making this video. I found the Superb Spirit Rune schematic just where you said it was. I didn't even know about this quest until I found your video.
Titan Uranus There are 2 links in the video that show where the other Spirit Runes are located. The way these work, is that the one you find is the next level up from the highest one that you already have. So if you already have a Spirit Rune, you'll find the Master Spirit Rune. If you already have the Master Spirit Rune, you'll find the Super Spirit Rune. This is only true for the elemental runes. The rest of them are what they are when you loot and/or purchase them. You can find the others out of order, but go in the tier order for the elemental ones. There is no "tiering" with them. Hope this helps.

Joey Zepeda Open up your inventory and go to Weapon Schematics, then tab over to the little pentagon shaped icon. You should see it listed there. It's a schematic that you got, you'll need to go to a weapon crafting station and have the materials available to actually make it.

i love your videos. i refer to them when i am stuck on something. and right now i am sadly stuck, in two different missions and can't move on for some reason. i went to the cradle of sulevin a little too soon cause my character was on the low side so i had to leave before that demon got me. now that i am close to lvl 20 i went back to complete this quest. and i can't interact with that very first altar you find when you get there. it's weird, the mission marker is still highlighting it and everything but i can't interact with it at all. so i hit the a roadblock so to speak on this, and hit a road block on the deep roads too but eventually i'll get back to them. again awesome videos, after all these years they are still help me out in a pinch. keep up the awesome work!!
Hey Dark. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble in the Cradle. There are some bugs in the game that they just never fixed and some of the scripted events like that demon spawning are places that you can see stuff like you're experiencing. I don't really have a solution for you on that, other than reloading from an older save (which I know isn't an option). There used to be a great community supporting this game in the Bioware's official DA:I forums until Bioware (in all their wisdom) deleted the entire forum and epic amounts of knowledge on bug workarounds and sticky posts of massively helpful info for new and experienced players alike.

This works for all chests everwhere.... however it is best to use the leave 1 item technique in that dungeon and the map where you find the codex... a chest in the boat, elven dog statue, chest behind the waterfall, and behind the building on the island has almost constant tier 3 schematics
Yes, that's how farming works. Leave 1 item (can be wepon, herb, money anything, just 1 item) in every container. Leave the area and go back. Every container with an item still in it will regenerate random loot. Works for every container. (So not remains. Just fixed containers). This area is the best area for Tier 3 schematics, Still Ruins is another decent one. (That one also allows you to max out Dorian as it keeps re-adding the Amulet of Power).
Woo! thank you! this gave me the last level I needed to beat that third dragon over the bridge without going to do Hakkon *agaaaaain* :D I've never found this zone before, always nice to see new bits of the game.
I don't know if they changed it, but the Revenants (and their lackeys) that spawned during the quest were level 20 Elites. I did it with all my characters at level 17, only had to use a focus skill during 1 of the fights (it's like 5 lvl 20 Elite Archers and 1 20 Elite Revenant at once). I'm also really, really good, so there's that too...hehe!
I just picked up dragon age here recently (yea I'm lame, been a halo player not rpg) and your guides have really helped me out and saved me from making a lot of mistakes. Also how do you have so much power? I'm barely past the winter palace and I only have around 16
Not sure where that save was, but likely well into the game if I had that much power, plus at some point you can buy power from a vendor in Skyhold just to blow the money that you really don't spend on anything else. Clearing out zones, closing rifts, doing quests, etc. should build up your power. Power isn't anything special IMO. Just a means to and end. It comes naturally as you need it if you're really "playing" the game.
Excellent guide, easy to follow and reproduce, thank you! I came for the rune only, but unfortunately the locked door actually require a perk. I'm currently rank 14 and it is so hard to get exp for it, so I'm not sure will I be able to get 2-3 ranks to open the perk :(
That just means you missed one of each. There are videos on the channel for tracking them all down. If you check the video description the other two locations where you can find spirit rune schematics are linked down there.
Weird. I went to craft a superb cleansing rune, but it wasn't available to craft. So I followed the video, but I previously bought everything from this vendor as it wasn't in his inventory. Now I'm stuck...
Read through some of the comments and didn't see anything about this so I'll throw it out there. That locked door actually does require the Deft Hands w/e rogue perk. I was just at the door and could not get in.
Thanks for the additional information. Someone else had mentioned this, but I was sort of waiting for someone else to provide back up. Here's to Bioware for consistency or the lack there of when it comes to these doors and how they note them on the map. I slap a quick note in the video. Thanks again for verifying this.
The schematics do not spawn in one particular place, they can be in any of the containers in there. The idea is to locate them all then just walk a path from one to the next checking them, picking up the schematics you find, leaving the junk, leave the zone then re-enter the zone, rinse and repeat. I had just luckily found one in there and left it to illustrate my point in the video. As I said in the video, that was actually my second time making the video. The first time I did the whole thing with my mic off, which was wonderful to discover as I went to post it. LoL. Good luck and good hunting!

+Jennifer Barrett In this I'm using the Bow you get from the schematic out in the one of the Tombs of Fariel in the Hissing Wastes. The armor is the Sturdy Prowler armor and the matching armor arms/legs. Grip... don't remember. However, it won't matter too much depending on where you are in the game as once you start doing any of the DLC, like The Descent, you'll upgrade your gear from that. Runes... I generally carry two bows, one for living stuff, one for demons and the like and swap when appropriate.

It is the Sturdy Prowler Armor. I'm fairly certain you can purchase it from the dog vendor near the Canyon Tomb out in the Hissing Wastes. that's strange. i got this rune for sure but it wasn't the superb spirit rune. I can't even say which one it was. I do not have the superb spirit rune in my inventory and when i go back there, all i see that the rune (whatever it was) has been taken...
All of the elemental runes are tiered, which means you'll get the next one in the set based on what you have already found. For instance if you already have found the Spirit Rune Schematic, then the next one you find will be the Master Spirit Rune Schematic. It just means you missed one out in the Western Approach. If you find that one it will be your Superb Spirit Rune Schematic if the one you just found in here was the Master Spirit Rune Schematic. There are links in the video that will show you where the two out in the Western Approach are.
sen ny Yeah you found your first one in the Cradle of Sulevin then. The links in the video will show you where the other two are once you get out to The Western Approach.
The armor is the Prowler Armor. However, my guess is, like myself you really like the arms/shoulders. Those are from a Tier 3 Schematic called Prowler Mail arms. The Schematic is not unique or anything nor do I know a vendor that sells it. It's just random and happens to be one I farmed for at this location on my second playthrough as I was not lucky enough to pick it up before hand. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
No it was not. The patched out the amulet of power duping exploit among what we assume are other unlisted exploits as they don't give details. The ability to farm T3 Schematics has not changed.

Sorry I normally explain that in the video, but here is an explanation of how the rune system works in DA:I "Please note that the actual rune you discover here will be based on how many Spirit Runes you have discovered before this one. (i.e. if you have found none this will be a Spirit Rune, if you have found the Spirit Rune, this will be the Master Spirit Rune, etc.)"
If you check the video description there are links to 2 other videos that show you where to find the other spirit runes. By the time you're "of level" to get in here, you usually have picked up the others. Sorry that was confusing.

that's strange. i got this rune for sure but it wasn't the superb spirit rune. I can't even say which one it was. I do not have the superb spirit rune in my inventory and when i go back there, all i see that the rune (whatever it was) has been taken...
All of the elemental runes are tiered, which means you'll get the next one in the set based on what you have already found. For instance if you already have found the Spirit Rune Schematic, then the next one you find will be the Master Spirit Rune Schematic. It just means you missed one out in the Western Approach. If you find that one it will be your Superb Spirit Rune Schematic if the one you just found in here was the Master Spirit Rune Schematic. There are links in the video that will show you where the two out in the Western Approach are.
Open up your inventory and go to Weapon Schematics, then tab over to the little pentagon shaped icon. You should see which ones you have listed there.

where did you get that armor from man
The armor is the Prowler Armor. However, my guess is, like myself you really like the arms/shoulders. Those are from a Tier 3 Schematic called Prowler Mail arms. The Schematic is not unique or anything nor do I know a vendor that sells it. It's just random and happens to be one I farmed for at this location on my second playthrough as I was not lucky enough to pick it up before hand. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

When you open a rift the tall and really thin, viney-looking, green terror demons have a chance to drop them IIRC.

Yes. As long as you leave one item in the chest, it will be reset when you zone and then come back.
Was this patched on the PC version?
No it was not. The patched out the amulet of power duping exploit among what we assume are other unlisted exploits as they don't give details. The ability to farm T3 Schematics has not changed.

There are 2 links in the video that show where the other Spirit Runes are located. The way these work, is that the one you find is the next level up from the highest one that you already have. So if you already have a Spirit Rune, you'll find the Master Spirit Rune. If you already have the Master Spirit Rune, you'll find the Super Spirit Rune. This is only true for the elemental runes. The rest of them are what they are when you loot and/or purchase them. You can find the others out of order, but go in the tier order for the elemental ones. There is no "tiering" with them. Hope this helps

Umm..... This gave me a "spirt rune" not superb...
Sorry I normally explain that in the video, but here is an explanation of how the rune system works in DA:I "Please note that the actual rune you discover here will be based on how many Spirit Runes you have discovered before this one. (i.e. if you have found none this will be a Spirit Rune, if you have found the Spirit Rune, this will be the Master Spirit Rune, etc.)"

If you check the video description there are links to 2 other videos that show you where to find the other spirit runes. By the time you're "of level" to get in here, you usually have picked up the others. Sorry that was confusing.
