Thank you so much I just got the game recently and couldn’t figure out the skull locations for the life of me, your video was the only helpful one I came across! And you’re really nice to guide us to them! Appreciate man!
Okay so I've been playing dragon age Inquisition for a while now and every time I go to a new specialization I always come to this TH-cam channel because it's way more specific than any other one I can find thank you very much for what you do I appreciate you a bunch and keep up the awesome work ✌️🤙
thanks!!!! your vid helped me finally finish the necromancer specialization quest! I spent two days searching on my own, and then I watched this vid and completed the quest. thanks again!!!
Yeah they didn't really go out of their way to help you sort it out with a lot of in-game clues. I'm glad the video was helpful Sir Watts. Thanks for watching!
+BigFinnable You are most welcome. I'm very glad to hear that it helped out out. There's definitely some great DA:I content on channel, browse and enjoy and please let me know if you have any questions. If I can help out I'll be glad to. Thanks for watching!
Didn't get to finish the quest because one of the skulls failed to load in entirely, but I appreciate the video being here to confirm that I'm not blind and it was in fact just not there.
+Alicia Woodward You are most welcome. Yeah a lot of these guide videos from the channel used to be up on the wiki. However, the Fascist admins on the Wiki kept taking them down and threatening to ban the people who were posting them. Thanks for watching!
I went around for 48 solid hours, saying to myself "GRIND JOSH GRIND. YOU CAN FIND THE SKULLS EVENTUALLY" I was killing what I thought were undead.. that were actually darkspawn. Thank you so so much fo doing this wonderful walkthrough!
id highly recommend for mage builds and for doing stuff on nightmare were you don't wanna aggr enimies get the purple ring of doubt you can literly stand by mobs and loot stuff 10 lvls higher and they don't know the difference
the necro book is on the floor with dorian or is the book store , also if you have the (dlc) black emporium you can just buy the blood stone's - hope this helps
+Curt The Kid Yeah they used to actually be up on the wiki, but the admin's got pissed at me for posting them (after them having been up for like 6 months) and they deleted all of them... I'm glad to hear you found it and it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
it is rare that undead drop nevaran skulls however if you go to the exalted plains there are places where as long as you don't progress the area the undead will keep spawning if one is patient they can get inf. exp. and with luck nevaran skulls too
i don't remember the undead ever being on the Storm Coast, but you did mention the higher difficulty levels. i mostly play it on normal and usually there's just bandits and other people trying to attack you, and depending on who you sided with. most of the time it's red templars if you side with the mages, and it's the Venatori mages if you side with the templars. i've tried the game on hard once, just couldn't do it. i can only imagine how hard it is on nightmare lol.
I had like 20 or 30 nevarran skulls in like 5 minutes in the hinterlandsbecause I felt like it was also a fact that you can get them there but I figured you all would want to know that you can get them in the beginning when you go to the hinterlands when you're out doing the quest trying to hunt the rebel mages out in the area where it's a big area and the that castle area you can actually get them there where you see mages and Templars fighting there you can get them in that area
nazad khan If you have the Short List perk, I "think" they have a "chance" to show up at the Crestwood merchant. Might be something to look into. Just know that just because it's not there the first time you check, doesn't mean it isn't sold there. They Short List stock that gets added to merchants refreshes. I say that I think, as I know I've seen them sold at a merchant and I almost always have the Short List perk by the time I get out there to Crestwood, so that's where I'm drawing the correlation.
nazad khan I wish I could be more specific brother. Let me know how it works out for ya. If you don't want to waste a perk point, just save your game then take it and try refreshing the stock a few times and see if it shows up. There's a bunch of info you can google for on how people have tried to refresh the stock from the Short List perk.
Thanks a lot for this! Had trouble with the last skull, so thanks :-) I've been playin' this since it came out, but never played as a necromancer before. Bows and arrows are usually more my thing :D But, I wanted to try every single possible way to play this game... yeah, I'm like that. Just couldn't find that last freakin' skull XD
Yep that is probably the easiest approach. That DLC just didn't happen to exist yet when I recorded this so I had to get a bit more creative on my instructions on how to finish this quest.
what he said is partially true because I know for a fact you can also get nevarran skulls from some of the mages in hinterlands the reason I say that is because I got some nevarran skulls from the rebel mages from the hinterlands from their sacks from a certain quest I don't remember what quest but I was out roaming around just questing leveling up and I got some nevarran skulls
That was in the first part of this video (1:44) as well, so I'm confused as to what you were having trouble with. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I was having trouble with finding the books at the book merchant but this was likely because i hadnt walked by it jet otherwise it would be for sale. Thanks for the help :)
technically by the time you get to Skyhold when you first get there, you should be atleast a level 10. that what i was on my second playthrough. my first playthrough i was a level 9 when i first left Haven, but after playing the game so many times now i've got to a level 11. the emerald graves is actually a level 13 place, and the other place you mentioned that has ice all around it, that's actually a level 14 place. but when you get levels like that, you gotta figure what kind of creatures your gonna be fighting before you go to either place. because the emerald graves in particular has giants all over the place. so i would suggest to be atleast a few levels higher than 14, but i usually don't recommend people to go there right away. the first place i go to when i get to Skyhold, i usually get Crestwood out of the way first. because with so much undead there with the town being flooded, it's pretty easy to rack up experience and gain levels. i know it's part of the main quest, but you don't have to complete the whole quest right away. the whole quest doesn't continue unless you go to the Western Expanse to meet up with a Hawk for a second time. so going to Crestwood is actually a good thing, because even if your only a level 9, the creatures there are a level 10, and the recommended level is 9-12. if you do almost everything in Crestwood with the exception of that dragon, you wouldn't be a high enough of a level to fight it if your only a level 10. because i do believe that is a level 13 dragon, because the one in the Hinterlands is a level 12. but i usually don't take on any dragon until im atleast a level 17, because they all have really high health. the hardest dragons are actually in the place you got your bloodstone from, especially the one down in the pit. but with the exception of fighting that dragon, which you can see clear as day in Crestwood way out there, you should get close to 13 by the time you leave. that should be enough to go to most places
+Dakota Snell Yeah, this video was made about 6 months before BE came out that's why it isn't mentioned. Had to get a little more creative in trying to help people track that stuff down when the game was relatively new. ;) Thanks for watching!
+Lacey Remlinger I completely agree. There are only a few armor sets in the game that someone took a considerable amount of time to make look amazing and that is definitely one of them. Thanks for watching!
Yeah unfortunately they hadn't given us the BE DLC yet, when I made this video, so you had to get a bit more creative on how you acquired your Bloodstone. :)
Wtf I've been to all the places and carefully watched and rewatched and still couldn't find any of them I've got 2 skulls atm might have got 2 of them before from there so I went to all 3 locations but none of them were there is it a bug ?
Been there done that, unfortunately for some that makes it difficult to "follow" along in the video, so I just walk to make it easier and with the magic slider in the video, fast forward has never been easier. ;) Thanks for watching!
+I3utch3r Glad you found it helpful. Someone had linked it on the wiki page, but apparently after being out there for about 8 months the moderators deleted the link.... Thanks for watching!
You can get it elsewhere, those are just the most common places to find it. You can also get it from of the war table missions and the such. Definitely better to have it and not know where it came from than to have to go track it down. ;) Thanks for watching Faith.
+MrCodeslinger then how does he magicaly spear in skyhold? Every time iv played it the only time he is in skyhold is when I have already recruited him. If u haven't recruited someone into the inquisition they arnt there
Yeah, there are only 3 "special" spots that they have set up for the "Skull Encounters". ... but as I said, there is a chance to have already picked some up, pre-Skyhold if you were out clearing stuff in The Hinterlands (I misspoke in the video and wound up saying The Storm Coast, but I meant the Hinterlands.) Thanks for watching, hope it helped!
I know but that was wierd. I'm watching the video for the Knight-Enchater but I already killed the second 3 areas of wraiths. Any other suggestion to where I can find the Whisp Essences?? And yes the video helped, especially the end where you mention it cancels the other 2. so I'm canceling that and going to the knight. Which of the 3 do you personally like the best?
Seth Russell Technically speaking Wisp Essence can drop from any of those little green Slimer (th-cam.com/video/9ZVzT0zx_pk/w-d-xo.html) looking guys. However, the drop rate sucks, especially when you really need it. As for which I like best, the KE is definitely the most powerful, however, if you're playing a mage, because you don't like to get in there an mix it up in melee combat range, then my personal preference is the Rift mage. The AoE from the spell (can't remember the name) that sends the meteors down on a group is nice, but for me the utility of the stone fist knock back is huge. I'm constantly knocking guys off of walkways and bridges and shit with that. It's the "fun" factor with that build for me. However, if you're playing on Nightmare, the KE is the safest bet. Just make sure you use some Silverite to craft yourself some heavy armor where you can stack constitution so you can take the big hits when you first jump in and your barrier is low or non-existent. Some people don't go that route, but IMO it helps.
+DavidJ Aissa Go to your War Table and unlock it like you do the other zones. As long as you have the Power available to unlock it you should be good to go.
+Victini There was, perhaps still is, a digital deluxe edition of the game. As part of that edition players received special armor, weapons, mounts and craftable gear. This armor was part of that stuff. There used to (don't know about now) be a way to upgrade to it, but that was about a month or two after the game came out. Not sure that you can still do it. Definitely very cool looking armor though. I think they did a great job with it. Thanks for watching!
MrCodeslinger by the time u replied i already figured it out 😂 thank u for replying though, this guide helped me ALOT, and ik im playing this late a couple of years but now im just now getting into the game
Awesome dude thanks. Next time you make a tutorial video could you make an edited version that's more like a speed tutorial and put it at the beginning of your video with a time stamp when the detailed one starts. I literally only needed help with the last part of it cause my game didn't tell me to craft the skull. Lmao.
+Misty xx Yes, the specializations are class specific. When you do the quest linked in the video description for unlocking specializations you'll get different trainers based on whatever class you have chosen to play your Inquisitor as.
Well I suppose there are many reasons to appreciate me, however, in this case I'm hoping at least one of them was because the video was helpful. ;) Thanks for watching Sarah.
this drove me batty figuring out where the tomes were. I could find the mats no problem while questing but do you think I could find the tome. NAH. and low and behold it's right under my nose LOLRSK8Z!!!
Assume someone is playing on Nightmare? 🤔 I wouldn't recommend that to anyone unless they are experienced. And a majority who watch your tutorial videos have had very little play time to DAI. I have not done a necromancer before hence why I'm here. But it's just something I wouldn't assume man lol.
Best video on this quest, it was so helpful, definitely the best one out there
ok43312 Great to hear. Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!
Probably the most helpful guide I have found! Thanks!

you are a lifesaver dude I was so confused about this quest thank you so much
Yeah they didn't really go out of their way to help you sort it out with a lot of in-game clues. I'm glad the video was helpful Sir Watts. Thanks for watching!
awesome vid. best quest guide videos ever. I sun you and kinetic as you two are to DAI what Datto is to destiny. so detailed but concise.

Damn you made this 7 years ago. Welp thanks a lot man. Appreciate you
Glad to hear it is still helpful after all these years Hillaire. Thanks for watching!
Both the Wiki and IGN have suggested that the one at Storm's Solitude is close to the cave. Thank you for showing us the right one!
+Alicia Woodward You are most welcome. Yeah a lot of these guide videos from the channel used to be up on the wiki. However, the Fascist admins on the Wiki kept taking them down and threatening to ban the people who were posting them. Thanks for watching!
Thaaaaank you! ♥Been looking for hours for the last one
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!

Thks from italy my brother. The best guide for this quest
the necro book is on the floor with dorian or is the book store , also if you have the (dlc) black emporium you can just buy the blood stone's - hope this helps
Thank u for this. This helped my sister so much she was so upset
Thanks man, I was using a map from the wiki but it had the wrong location marked down. Your video helped me a lot. Thanks.
+Curt The Kid Yeah they used to actually be up on the wiki, but the admin's got pissed at me for posting them (after them having been up for like 6 months) and they deleted all of them... I'm glad to hear you found it and it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
I actually found all my bloodstone in the exalted plains. Still a great video.
Thanks a million bro , I was literally on the verge of giving up at this point ...
You are most welcome Sam. Thanks for watching!
thanks so much man took me forever to Find Them and you pointed them out easily thanks a lot
+Andrew D Glad it helped you get your spec quest completed. Enjoy your Necromancer and thanks for watching!
Awesome man, thanks for the time and effort put into this. Helped a lot ! :) liked and subd.
+Souleance LAD Glad you liked it, thanks for watching and thanks for the sub, I really appreciate it.
You are a very good teacher amigo! Many thanks! I guess i'm going to chose the necromancer discipline due to the immortality! 😜
Bruh I've been searching forever thanks so much ☝🏻️👌🏻👍🏻
You are most welcome. Thanks for watching!
I know I am way late to playing this game but thank you so much I almost gave up on this one!

it is rare that undead drop nevaran skulls however if you go to the exalted plains there are places where as long as you don't progress the area the undead will keep spawning if one is patient they can get inf. exp. and with luck nevaran skulls too
Thanks, needed simuler help with another quest.
i don't remember the undead ever being on the Storm Coast, but you did mention the higher difficulty levels. i mostly play it on normal and usually there's just bandits and other people trying to attack you, and depending on who you sided with. most of the time it's red templars if you side with the mages, and it's the Venatori mages if you side with the templars. i've tried the game on hard once, just couldn't do it. i can only imagine how hard it is on nightmare lol.

You can also buy it from the black Emporium if you have the black Emporium DLC
Yeah, unfortunately that DLC didn't exist when I recorded this. It would have been a lot easier for sure. ;)
Hey man I tried to buy that book and it wasn't in the store!? =(
you need some kind of inquisition perk
can i purchse the skull??because i think i destroyed or sold one of the skull...hav no clue wat to do now
nazad khan If you have the Short List perk, I "think" they have a "chance" to show up at the Crestwood merchant.
Ok..thx for the info bro...i dont hav the short list perk yet...but i can unlock it....i will look into it...thx alot
nazad khan I wish I could be more specific brother. Let me know how it works out for ya. If you don't want to waste a perk point, just save your game then take it and try refreshing the stock a few times and see if it shows up. There's a bunch of info you can google for on how people have tried to refresh the stock from the Short List perk.
It's there I got the skill and went there, infinite stock
Okay level 21 here the venatori tome isn't showing up in Halin Sulahn what do I do
+laosbean Have you beaten the main story line yet? Killed off Cory?
+laosbean 2nd question. Did you just pick up the quest or just now get around to doing the quest?
Now this is proper usefull.. thanks dude... u should do a How To Guide for aspiring walkthrough video makers
I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching!
+TheMagpie4Real Glad to hear it helped you out. Thanks for watching!
Outstanding Video! Your Video was on point Thank you very much 🇺🇸
Glad it helped Grunt. Thanks for watching!
Thank u, just playing this gem again.
You can use the Black Emporium if you have the DLC to get any of the items you need
*crafting materials
Yep that is probably the easiest approach. That DLC just didn't happen to exist yet when I recorded this so I had to get a bit more creative on my instructions on how to finish this quest.
what he said is partially true because I know for a fact you can also get nevarran skulls from some of the mages in hinterlands the reason I say that is because I got some nevarran skulls from the rebel mages from the hinterlands from their sacks from a certain quest I don't remember what quest but I was out roaming around just questing leveling up and I got some nevarran skulls
Thanks dude great vid I'm level 21 and I'm just getting around to doing this quest
+laosbean Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching!
Nicely done. Very helpful.
That is great to hear, thanks for watching!

EXTREMELY HELPFUL
Glad to hear it Cheep Skate. Thanks for watching!
Holy crap thanks for saving me the time man!
Glad it was helpful Cody. Thanks for watching!
Thank you!! Very helpful!
Ive bought all the books in the bookstore but the books i need are not there dont know what the problem is
Did you recruit Dorian? Is he up on the 2nd level of Skyhold (the little library area)?
I just found out in youre other videos that you can find the books near your followers thanks for the help
Well glad to hear that you got it worked out. Thanks for watching!
technically by the time you get to Skyhold when you first get there, you should be atleast a level 10. that what i was on my second playthrough. my first playthrough i was a level 9 when i first left Haven, but after playing the game so many times now i've got to a level 11. the emerald graves is actually a level 13 place, and the other place you mentioned that has ice all around it, that's actually a level 14 place. but when you get levels like that, you gotta figure what kind of creatures your gonna be fighting before you go to either place. because the emerald graves in particular has giants all over the place. so i would suggest to be atleast a few levels higher than 14, but i usually don't recommend people to go there right away. the first place i go to when i get to Skyhold, i usually get Crestwood out of the way first. because with so much undead there with the town being flooded, it's pretty easy to rack up experience and gain levels. i know it's part of the main quest, but you don't have to complete the whole quest right away. the whole quest doesn't continue unless you go to the Western Expanse to meet up with a Hawk for a second time. so going to Crestwood is actually a good thing, because even if your only a level 9, the creatures there are a level 10, and the recommended level is 9-12. if you do almost everything in Crestwood with the exception of that dragon, you wouldn't be a high enough of a level to fight it if your only a level 10. because i do believe that is a level 13 dragon, because the one in the Hinterlands is a level 12. but i usually don't take on any dragon until im atleast a level 17, because they all have really high health. the hardest dragons are actually in the place you got your bloodstone from, especially the one down in the pit. but with the exception of fighting that dragon, which you can see clear as day in Crestwood way out there, you should get close to 13 by the time you leave. that should be enough to go to most places
Thank you, this movie helped me a lot :-)
THANX!!!! THAT WAS RLY USEFUL.
Do you have the black emporium I got my blood stone there to add to your list of places of getting blood stone
+Dakota Snell Yeah, this video was made about 6 months before BE came out that's why it isn't mentioned. Had to get a little more creative in trying to help people track that stuff down when the game was relatively new. ;) Thanks for watching!
+MrCodeslinger Understandable thanks for the walk through. First time not doing the knight enchanter
I LOVE that armor you have
+Lacey Remlinger I completely agree. There are only a few armor sets in the game that someone took a considerable amount of time to make look amazing and that is definitely one of them. Thanks for watching!
+MrCodeslinger your welcome i love your videos
You can also go the the black emporium and buy bloodstone ( its unlimited )
Yeah unfortunately they hadn't given us the BE DLC yet, when I made this video, so you had to get a bit more creative on how you acquired your Bloodstone. :)
Wtf I've been to all the places and carefully watched and rewatched and still couldn't find any of them I've got 2 skulls atm might have got 2 of them before from there so I went to all 3 locations but none of them were there is it a bug ?
Thank's for the tips. could not find that last skull
You're very welcome Valenthyne. Thanks for watching!
Anyway a person justly buys up stones?
Thanks bro very helpful
You are quite welcome. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the help but a nice little tip to run faster use your horse
Been there done that, unfortunately for some that makes it difficult to "follow" along in the video, so I just walk to make it easier and with the magic slider in the video, fast forward has never been easier. ;) Thanks for watching!
I just explored trying to find everything on casual and I somehow had 2 skulls that I did get from the coast
thanks mate! I was looking for that skulls on the locations where wiki say but there is NONE
+I3utch3r Glad you found it helpful. Someone had linked it on the wiki page, but apparently after being out there for about 8 months the moderators deleted the link.... Thanks for watching!
ok...i had bloodstone before going to the snow place or the forest...i just can't remember how
You can get it elsewhere, those are just the most common places to find it. You can also get it from of the war table missions and the such. Definitely better to have it and not know where it came from than to have to go track it down. ;) Thanks for watching Faith.
extremely helpful thank you so much
You're very welcome. Thanks for watching!
you're most welcome keep up the good work mate
I recruited him and I have never talked to him in skyhold. To say u need to talk to him in order for it to be there is bull cause I just got it
In order to recruit him you must speak to him (as shown in the video). He doesn't magically recruit himself.
+MrCodeslinger then how does he magicaly spear in skyhold? Every time iv played it the only time he is in skyhold is when I have already recruited him. If u haven't recruited someone into the inquisition they arnt there
Ertril Pitcher During the conversation you can either allow him to stay or send him away.
He Is talking about If you sided with the Templars Dorian isn't recruited yet so you must speak with him for the book to show up.
When you started the trail for the 3rd skull and the first group you fought, I found a skull there. but none to pick up tho.
Yeah, there are only 3 "special" spots that they have set up for the "Skull Encounters". ... but as I said, there is a chance to have already picked some up, pre-Skyhold if you were out clearing stuff in The Hinterlands (I misspoke in the video and wound up saying The Storm Coast, but I meant the Hinterlands.) Alright cool thanks for the help. I reset the skills of my mages and ran a mage team and its pretty cool but I need a mele
Seth Russell If you just want someone to run in and tangle with them Blackwall (once he's specialized) is pretty awesome IMO.
How do you unlock emprise du lion
+DavidJ Aissa Go to your War Table and unlock it like you do the other zones. As long as you have the Power available to unlock it you should be good to go.
+MrCodeslinger thanks
+DavidJ Aissa You are most welcome. Thanks for watching!
+MrCodeslinger np it's very helpful
Good video & thanks so much.
You're very welcome Zack. Thanks for watching!
No problem, I appreciate the response.
what is the armour called that you're wearing
It is called Armor Of The Dragon and it comes with the deluxe edition of DAI
Where did you get your armor
+Victini There was, perhaps still is, a digital deluxe edition of the game. As part of that edition players received special armor, weapons, mounts and craftable gear. This armor was part of that stuff. There used to (don't know about now) be a way to upgrade to it, but that was about a month or two after the game came out. Not sure that you can still do it. Definitely very cool looking armor though. I think they did a great job with it. Thanks for watching!
How do u get to emprise du lion?
It is a zone that you unlock on your War Table. It is on the Orlais side of the map (the left side).
MrCodeslinger by the time u replied i already figured it out 😂 thank u for replying though, this guide helped me ALOT, and ik im playing this late a couple of years but now im just now getting into the game
Never too late to play DA:I. Not a game you want to miss out on. Definitely worth playing. I recommend it to everyone who asks for games to play.
MrCodeslinger anybody that likes fantasy games would def like da i
I just started playing and was gonna ask this 😂😂
Great guide.
I think mine glitched. It says I still need to gather the materials but I've collected them all. Any idea on what to do?
Same
Thx bro I was saved by you.
Glad to hear it Rocky. Thanks for watching!
Awesome dude thanks. Next time you make a tutorial video could you make an edited version that's more like a speed tutorial and put it at the beginning of your video with a time stamp when the detailed one starts. I literally only needed help with the last part of it cause my game didn't tell me to craft the skull. Lmao.
You shoulve learned the way of timeline manipulation first then.
Does it only work if your inquisitor is a mage?
+Misty xx Does what only work if your Inquisitor is a mage?
the necromancer skill tree
+Misty xx Yes, the specializations are class specific. When you do the quest linked in the video description for unlocking specializations you'll get different trainers based on whatever class you have chosen to play your Inquisitor as.
Thanks for the help.
R'vana Evens You bet. Thanks for watching!
How did you get those robes!
Part of the Digital Deluxe version of the game. Free DLC stuff that came with it.
Thank you!!!
thank you so much! xoxo
thank you!
You are most welcome Ammo Clip. Thanks for watching!
You are only lvl 9, but where did you get that awesome looking armor?
+Jake That is the Dragon Armor that you get, along with a number of other things, with the Deluxe edition of the game. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you.
Well I suppose there are many reasons to appreciate me, however, in this case I'm hoping at least one of them was because the video was helpful. ;) Thanks for watching Sarah.
no haven't beaten the main story I've completed all missions excluding the final one
+laosbean What about my second question? Did you just pick up the quest or have you had it for a while and are now just getting around to doing it?
Thank you!!!! A lot
You are most welcome Zahory160. Thanks for watching!
I had bloodstone so I was sitting there going tell me what to kill
thanks
this drove me batty figuring out where the tomes were. I could find the mats no problem while questing but do you think I could find the tome. NAH. and low and behold it's right under my nose LOLRSK8Z!!!
I think my necromancy is bugged
Where were you xD
You are a bit long-winded but the video was very helpful lol. Keep up the good work.
This help a lot Thank you :)
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching!
