Kyle, when you hit 75 mph, pull back on the yoke, and open the rear wing doors, hit flaps down on the display, and you’ll be airborne in no time. This is a new feature on the 22 X

What can you add to all the Tesla content out there, you ask, Kyle? Your unbiased honesty and unfiltered subjective opinion, that's what. Not that all others are biased or dishonest but you are amazingly consistent in how you present your judgement of a car, good or not so good. That's valuable to a viewer trying to form an opinion on a car. So, yeah, don't shy away from Teslas.

Kyle was slightly unimpressed with the acceleration, but there were 6 big guys, a dog, and air conditioning going on. So, this X impressed me. I'm more of a M3P person, but for lots of space for passengers, the X does it well.

It is early days for us, but so far we are enjoying our 2022 X 5 seater. Much smoother and quieter than our 2018 X. Yoke is a non issue after a few days. Still not a fan of removal of shifter lever though. Even with 3 options for setting forward/reverse (on screen slide, P-R-N-D touch buttons below USB charging pad, and automated car determination based on obstructions) I prefer a physical stalk or lever.

On the vision-only front, I have one of the initial batch of vision-only Model Y that were on hold last May, and have been genuinely surprised at the complaints I’ve read time to time about things like phantom braking. That hasn’t been a problem at all for me. Instead, what I get are these crazy phantom forward collision warnings, that happen when a car ahead and in an adjacent lane turns left or right. It’s rare, but not rare enough. This looks like a fun car!

How it works for in town or non auto pilot use I would have to see for myself. Great Review! We have had the 22 X Plaid for about 2 months and absolutely love it (Silver with 22s, 6 seat white interior, no FSD for now). Just did a trip to Vegas 3 weeks ago from Indio CA. We made it from the Cosmo hotel (100% charge) home on one charge (10 Percent left). We did play it safe and charge once on the way to Vegas but hope to try and go all the way next time. Curious how much the 3rd motor is hindering our range in real life. Need to take more trips to know for sure. Car is amazing (we traded from a 2018 Model 3 that we loved). If you're an old muscle car gearhead (Like me) you won't want to pass on the Plaid! We ordered last summer and pricing was on par with what TeslaFlex said.

Would you guys be able to do a comparison between the Model S Plaid and Long Range? I ordered a Model S Long Range since I did not want the Plaid range hit. I also had to ask, "is the Plaid worth it?" I read the Plaid has some vibration issues, and the LR is better. And, the LR is exactly the same as the Plaid minus the brutal acceleration. Would love some insight into that question. Also, Model S Long Range vs. Lucid Air Touring. Really debating between those two. The Lucid is so efficient and has some amazing luxury. It's a fantastic road trip car. It eats stuff. I have a family of 5 with all three kids in car seats and the need to haul baby stuff everywhere. It all fits easily. With the six seat configuration you also have a giant pass through you can put an oversized roller bag (like an 80-100 lbs bag easily fits) into. The frunk is large and does well with misc small stuff. The trunk has a false bottom and opens up to go very deep. The storage is really great.
The falcon wing doors work great in snow and rain. They don't leak into the car. 3-4 year old models do have that problem though, so look out if you're buying used. In wind, rain and snow will blow in, but you can set them to only partially open in the menu and it mitigates that problem too.

How is the batterie when you park the car for a few days without charging especially if you are working from home and have a 2nd vehicle for short runs? For winter, I read stories of frozen doors hard to open. Do you experience the same thing? Any advice? Last, I like the long range but the price scares us. Any advice on the financing? The fact that you can't use auto pilot over 80 mph tells you everything there is to know about the no-radar solution. It's inadequate.

Yeah. I live in an area where all the highways are 80 mph. An 80 mph cap would be f'ed. I have one of the last built Model X Performances with a round wheel and radar. So happy about it.

@@HarrisonAdAstra You are wrong. It is not disabled. I was on a recent trip where there was snow and it became blocked by ice. I was unable to use traffic aware cruise control because the car reported that the radar sensor was blocked. Prior to that experience I, too, had thought maybe it was disabled. Also, I used autopilot on Saturday 4/16/2022 at 87 mph. You cannot do that in a vision only Tesla.

Kyle, Well after the half shaft vibration and swimming handling and minimal regen with braking that overheats with some spirited driving. Will you be changing your Taycan Sport Tourismo to an X?
I know the charging network is very good and smooth plug & charge with Tesla.
Thanks for the review. Great to see someone who knows how to drive spirited and can compare with other makes (though that’s dangerous with Tesla followers).

Well, they can't iron out the basic phantom braking, so there's that. But really not surprised. Between sun or reflection glare, visual contamination, poor lighting, poor surface markings, construction, surface contamination , or any combination of the above...... it's a long way off.

@11:27, New models will kinda vibrate the steering when you are not on the lane. You can disable the lane departure avoidance assist if you dont like that option. I think that was the reason why you said there was a wobbling. Just my opinion.
