FYI when you start your dash and you see the “Raise your acceptance rate to 50% to get priority on higher paying orders“ at the top of the dash it’s not a reset to change your acceptance rating it’s only a notification to accept more orders to raise your rating to get higher paying orders. Just an FYI.

Roughly half of my pick ups are still preparing the food…what I do is always use that link at the bottom that lets you inform dd why you are late , so it’s at least documented.
@@StayPositive-sd8op no you confirm your at the restaurant when you arrive there's a column where you can notify a customer that the store is still preparing the food

Thank you for this video. I tend to suffer a bit from.... idk, uncertainty anxiety? I have worked retail for years and get all anxious cause I don't want to be "that guy". Some people online suggest pushing to the front of lines for orders. I can't tell if they are just being complete asses or they are actually right (probably somewhere in the middle). Once I get into a flow of it all, I think I will be fine, but starting out is going to be annoying for my stupid mental, haha. It's also annoying because I am nearly bankrupt after being laid off from the local grocery store. I've applied all over town the past year but have been told my degree is a harm rather than being helpful (I got my degree in Retail Management this past year). It's been..... a rough year. Doordash is willing to let me make money, and I can work the kind of schedule I want when I want. I hope I enjoy it and it is sustainable to a degree cause fuck me if it doesn't I guess.
