What’s the difference between GT3 and GT4 cars?? And do they compete simultaneously ??
The GT4 cars have less downforce and are able to be driven by those with less experience (bronze licences)
And they don’t compete with GT3, they just use the track at the same time. They’re their own race within a race

Because I have watched Endurance races, the American GT races etc..
@@anonymos59 The Championship features two main classes: GT3 and GT4. The GT3 class is the premier category, featuring high-performance, factory-built race cars. This class is often dominated by professional drivers, but it also includes Pro-Am pairings, where a professional driver teams up with an amateur. The GT4 class is a stepping stone to GT3, featuring less powerful but still competitive cars. It is popular among gentleman drivers and aspiring professionals, offering a more accessible and cost-effective way to compete in GT racing.
The GT3 cars have considerably more aero and are built from the ground up as race cars while most GT4 cars are converted high performance cars (although this has been changing as some just build theirs from the ground up like GT3s). The difference is more evident when you see them side by side, check the BMW M4s as a reference.
And yes they compete at the same time on the same course while having their own separate race, this is multi class racing (even within GT3, there are two classes btw, and it's the same for GT4s). I can explain that as well but this is quite a long one. Anyway that's one of the factors that make the racing more entertaining and exciting cos they add an extra element of tactics, jeopardy and it's usually never as dull cos you know when there's traffic be it slower or faster the race can change in a second.
@@anonymos59In international sportscar racing GT3 is the top GT class, or perhaps more specifically the LMGT3 variant which is used in WEC and ELMS.
However, in Japan there's the GT500 class in which the cars are much faster still. Whether those cars are considered true GT cars or silhouette cars can be debated but that class could be the pinnacle of GT racing.
