Making Canyon Blues Cold Process Artisan Landscape Soap

- Arizona Blue skies with a glowing sun setting over the horizon… This month, the soap challenge club technique was creating natural looking stones and marble with cold process soap. Although I’ve decided not to enter this once, I’ve made my own rocks by depicting the Grand Canyon in this landscape design.
This is an amazingly fresh, clean and somewhat manly yet unisex scent that has top notes of jasmine followed by notes of bergamot. Fruity notes of melon, peaches and wild berries come through on a base of musk and amber, finishing with deep woods. It is a new favorite of mine!

Creamy Obsession same! I'm not a soap maker and I'm really interested 🤣 you must do a lot of mathematics with your soaps, especially when you calculate how many you'll put in the layers in order to scrape off through all layers in this soap. So amazing as always!

as a native Arizonan I NEED this bar, it's wonderful!! also intrigued by the scent, I'm still learning what I like and don't like and I'd love to give this a smell :)
It has toned down some after going through saponification but it's one of those smells that are hard to explain.
Another amazing one is the Marble Rose... it is sooooo good! Definitely a keeper!

It really varies, as it is dependent on so many factors... different fragrances and colors can speed up or decelerate trace, plus it depends on how thick the batter is when you pour it... whether you were going for a pour or design that requires a thin batter to fill small crevices or make an ombre, etc or one that should be brought to a thicker trace to mound in a certain part. Sometimes these can be poured and shaped in 5-10 minutes, and other times it can take as long as several hours.
@@CreamyObsession oh I see, thanks, and, should I make several batches of mixture over time (not make all at once at the beginning) when making this many layers because it can harden in the mixing cup before we pour it to the mold? (Sorry my English is so messy 😅)

Planning yes, but there's no practice. This was my first attempt at this design. More often than not, I don't like coming back to the same designs again :) I prefer to mix as I go :)

Very beautiful!! I had a hard time with the video though because of the background music. I follow other soap makers and I like to hear talking in videos. I think having the fast forward the way it is, is fine since your soaps are so detailed it would take an hour or more for real time, but maybe you could talk over the fast video and just explain your thought process in making the soap because I would love to learn more about what you and how you do it!!

Love how beautiful your soaps are!! I've noticed you plan to sell your scrapers which is awesome. Have you considered designing one with a house in it? Then have a stamp that says "safer at home". Just a selfish thought as I want to buy that scraper!
