I used to work at toys r us in the US, and went down with the ship when they closed. We made the backroom into a basketball court and had nerf gun battles to keep up morale in the end days. On the last day we had shopping cart races around the store and drank beer on the roof as a sendoff. These toys r us videos make me happy 😊

DAMN!! Toy prices are outrageous. When I was a little children, the original Star Wars figures were only $1.50 each. If you made good money on birthdays or Christmas, you could stock up on the action figure. Playsets or ships were about $10 - $20.
Years ago, early 1980s I worked at a department store in the toy department. My manager walked by as I was stocking the star wars figures. He said to me, "if I was young like you, I would buy a box of those figures and put them away in the closet". I was like, "yea right". 🙄 I wish I listened to him. 😔

I just noticed that on the new "Alien" line of Boglins, they do more horn cutting! On Drizoul they cut off the two outside horns and leave the middle one, and on Vizblob they cut off all three!

I’ve heard and seen some TH-cam videos of the macy’s sections and the store they opened in NJ at the mall. It’s a very far cry from the experience in this video and what we used to have. Maybe better than nothing - but we’ll likely never have the same store experience in the US again
if you want the Terror Dog fully assembled you should look for Tully's Terrible Night. it's a Louis Tully figure with a full Terror Dog. tough to find in Canada though. van island isn't usually as lucky for rarities unfortunately
