  • 1983 sees Twisted Sister getting on a major label in Atlantic Records with Stuart Epps at the production helm. Did this one break them big in America or was it just a taste of what was to come? Were they telling their fans to Stay Hungry?

I had a cassette copy of this album that my first car ate. I also backed into a shed when I first started to drive while listening to that Cassette.
Dee’s vocals on the title track are super powerful. He’s still got that range and power when I saw his solo band 10 years ago.
When I saw Queensryche the first time, Dee came out and Introduced the bands that night. My dad and I got really loud “DEE! DEE! DEE!” and Dee had to unleash that powerhouse voice and said “you guys come here for the bands or me?” Then before he left the stage he knelt down and shook our hands.
Thank you MusicNut for the love given to Mark. He’s an awesome bass player! And I agree, the Power and the Glory is one of my favorite songs on this album. Insanely good.
I like the LA feel of I’ve had enough. It’s got a nice bullety bass groove that propels it. It’s strange to me your ears went to Dokken, mine went QR.
I used to not like You’re not Alone, I still think it pales compared to the balled on the next album, but I do like it more the older I get.
I think I Saw Red and Heaven by Warrant are two more ballads that came from the heart. Different places of the heart but the heart nonetheless.
I love how JC knows these guitar parts so intimately. It’s so much fun to listen to him talk about.
Four Barrel Heart of Love was my favorite of the bonus tracks. Lol

Great show and discussion guys! I love this album! Being a fan from the beginning I was anticipating this album! I collected all the 12" singles
with the Live At The Marquee B-sides and the three leftover studio tracks and I still have it all! Yes I'm a fanatic! LOL!!! Dee is at his powerful best
vocally! I love every song on this album, but my favorites are side 1 the first four songs just knock me out! If the title track was 5th on side 1 it would
be a perfect album side!!! I Am (I'm Em) is my favorite TS song and my HS band played it! the only song I don't like as much as the rest of the record
is The Power And The Glory. I would of rather had Feel The Power in it's place. as a matter of fact, back it the cassette days I used to edit the intro of
Power and the glory and cut quick to Feel The Power! LOL! I still play this often! A definite 9.5/10 for me! Thank You for the shout out Johnny Metal!!!

I Am I'm Me is a rare case of the first song I heard by a band being my favorite ( first heard on K Tel Masters Of Metal compilation)

I think I Am,I'm Me was a minor hit in the UK ? I liked a few tracks each off these first 5 LPs but I never was a huge fan.

Killer follow up to Under the Blade. Only negative is the sappy ballad Youre Not Alone which is completely forgettable. 8/10

There's an interview on YT with Tom Werman talking about what terrible musicians TS were when he was producing,he really shits on JJ harshly....He does speak highly of Roland + Hlubek from Molly Hatchet but otherwise he seemed to actually despise some he worked with.
