I can confirm as of Jan 28th 2023 this STILL WORKS. I'm playing on the Xbox Series S. Took me roughly about an hour. Killed her about 40 times and finally horse spawned alive. She spawned for me on the road by Parmody Dell, which is NE of Heartland Oil Fields. Be patient. It may not happen right away, but it will happen. Also I'm currently in Chapter 2 just finished the mission with Hosea and the Fence
Still works I just got Biscuit, by Face rock in Chapter 3. With a lot of saves and loads I finally got her. I've been trying for weeks. [February 26th, 2023].
Damn we the same I tried after that mission but after I killed her like 16 times and the horse kept dieing so I thought it wasn't working so I ran away
As of 2024, March 24 still working on PS 5! But it took literally for ever, keep trying! It first bucked me off but I followed her and got her back. Never lose sight of her ! And the is a mare 🥰🥰🥰. I am in chapter 4.
Thank you soooo much. I had my save next to face rock, and I messed up and reloaded enough to get her to show up everytime. But I was starting to get discouraged because I had a pile of about 50 of her bodies and it wasn't working. Your advice to just shoot 20 times and reload got me my horse. What I notice is that if she reloads and instantly starts running, her next reload will load the live horse. Anyway BEST GLITCH TUTORIAL EVER!!! You answered all possible questions and looked at every important detail. Great job and much Thanks!
Killer tutorial. Still works as of 05/07/23! Just reload your save if it doesn’t work after the first 20 bodies! I got her after about 5 on my second round! And the comments saying if she spawns and immediately starts running, the next one will spawn alive. Were also accurate for me. Good luck!

It took a good amount of patience, but to be fair I probably wasn't doing it right a couple of times. I finally got her at moonstone pond after maybe three days of trying, and six kills in from my last reloaded save
It still works! After 2 days of struggling and reloading I just got mine after 5 minutes! I'm early in chapter 2. The only sniper I could get this early was the Springfield & with high velocity bullets it's almost always an instant kill. Now let's greet sm ppl to repair honor. 😂
I DID IT!! After literal HOURS and hours through a span of a handful of days, I finally got her! I tried so many other tactics and videos and they never worked. I think you absolutely need the Springfield rifle scope. It’s the only scoped gun you can get at the beginning of chapter 2 (to my knowledge). I don’t know if it changes the probability or makes the glitch more likely to happen, but it definitely makes it easier regardless just with the scope itself so you’re not relying on dead eye (which quickly drains). Over the span of these days I tallied hundreds and hundreds of kills, but after doing this with the Springfield rifle, it took maybe ~50 kills with one save reload in the middle. This works as of 3/2/2023!
Got it! Thank you for the thorough review. 3/12/23 I had to come back to the area multiple times and just took my time with it. Like you said I found doing activities in the area seemed to make the instance show up. I did have to go back and forth nearby to keep resetting it, until it finally reset everytime in one spot on top of the rock.
The difference between the MFT and the Arab is temperament, the Arab is high strung and will throw you faster in wolf attacks or if they're near a predator they panic faster.
I've just recently got the black arabian, only managed to get 2 bonding level, I can definitely confirm what you're saying. As soon as there's an alligator in sight, she starts getting scared. Sometimes it's an absolute nonsense, I can't even see the predator an the horse is already managing to throw me off
It's interesting because there are plentiful forum threads about how there is no such thing as temperament, and there are no coded lines for it... but my experience is that the Arabians definitely scare way easier than the Thoroughbred I got with the Ultimate edition. But also in my experience, there was almost no difference between the MFT and Arabian... both were scared easily.
@@coolhandpaulnewman got myself a beautiful Turkoman, that's not an issue anymore at all. I can deadass run over an alligator, he won't throw me off under any circumstances.
You can train your horse to be less timid. Whenever it gets spooked, successfully calm it (while on its back) and feed it a carrot. My black Arabian never throws me. Hope this helps! It’s certainly something I wish I knew sooner 😂
Another excellent video. What a masterpiece of a game this is. There are so many ways to play and so much to discover. This horse was never intended to be acquired yet it has become a whole side quest in itself with many videos made on the subject. This being one of the best. Well done.
Agree with everything you say. It's basically become a mission the fans/players created. With the Rockstar missions, you get cues during the mission of what you're supposed to do. But with this, it's down to fans to post their own footage of how they did it. Other fans expand upon it. What I love about the console's recording feature is it gives you the ability to chronicle things and compare them accurately. You can find out what actually works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the video! As of June 2023 Face Rock still works on PC. I am early in chapter 2 for this replay. It took about three hours and several reloads but I finally got the MFT. It took way longer than the Albert Mason method but was much less stressful and you could totally zone out doing it. Much preferred over the Carmody Dell location. She is so out in the open and its easy to tell when she gets up and runs! Like others have said before, if she isn't showing up look around the area for events. Kill the campers, resolve the events. Your honor is going to tank with this method so don't try and be nice. I'll likely still keep killing her if I ever see her walking on the road, just in case the MFT gets killed and I need a replacement. Happy hunting!
6/18/23 Face rock method still working, just need extra patience, killed 20, reload save file, and repeat...took about 2 hours but right after the last one, lady drifts and the horse stays alive. Thank you very much!
As of 8-13-24 the Moonstone Pond one still works. I shot the lady from the train tunnel south west of where he is in the video. I am very early on chapter 2. I only had to shoot her 3 times so I got super lucky. I would shoot her, take her out of my scope, move the camera away, and by the 3rd time the MFT was just standing there waiting for me. Great video! Thanks guy!
Got this to work today in chapter 3 - where she spawns on the road, just below the P of the trading post (east of Flatneck Station) The biggest part I figured out was you're basically interrupting the spawing scripting, by being juuuust close enough that you can study the horse. Once you get that prompt, you're good! Get too close, it stops working. Also, once you've got it alive, Don't let it out of your sight, or it will despawn. I'll see if I can get a video of what I did. I'm pretty sure she was in this spot for me in chapter 2 too..
still works as of 24/04/23 ! took me a couple hours but she finally respawned alive at moonstone pond. a comment below said that if the lady immediately runs after respawning the next horse will be alive and this held true for mine as well! ty for your tutorial :)
Still working as of January 26th 2024 via PS5. In fact this was the only guide that worked. I'd even say if it doesn't spawn a live horse at Face Rock after 5 attempts, reload. Placement of Arthur on his horse seems to make a difference - if you can get a little closer and make her run the next MFT spawns alive. As others have said, don't let her out of your sight - if you camera move away she'll disappear. The glitch can be repeated after, in fact on my save I went back and could repeat it. Horse takes a little longer to accelerate than the white Arabian but is faster when up to gallop, and way better behaved at level 1 than the other is at level 4. Thanks.
I've seen this lady and her horse near flatneck station but every time I kill her she never respawn any suggestions and i already check the moonstone lake but she's not there.
Great explanation and works for PC version. I was getting the Face Rock encounter intermittently until I learned to clear the area of any other random encounters. After that I was finding the lady all the time. It took about 20+ reloads before I can get the Missouri Fox Trotter to stand, but I finally got it. BTW, after I got the MFT, I managed to encounter the lady again in different spawn location (East of Valentine).
I did the Arcadia for Amateurs method but I didnt like the tracking BS it was too much of a hassle. I just positioned my horse next to Albert and when I almost had the herd of horses back to him I cut off to the right and kinda gave myself a bit of a headstart. I quickly skipped the cutscene and when I got on my horse the MFT was just going over the hill but I was able to keep an eye on it and chase it for what seemed like an hour, got bucked off twice, clotheslined by a tree once, almost lost the horse 3 times, and even after I broke it successfully and achieved Lvl 1 bonding I ran into a a log and fell off the horse and couldn't get back on. Thankfully I had achieved that Lvl 1 bonding and was able to whistle and have it follow me back to the stables so I could save it or I would have been screwed. If anyone tells you obtaining this horse is "no big deal" or "easy" they are a lying sack of sh#t and you should inform them immediately of that fact. But like most struggles when you have achieved your goal its more than worth it and that's no lie. The MFT is second to none and getting it in chapter 2 so you can enjoy it for the whole playthrough is amazing! Good luck to all and stay safe out there cowpokes 🤠 Edit: I almost forgot to say good job on the video and your i sights were helpful. For me its just about the look of the horse. Stats wise it really isnt any better than the Black or Grey Aranian. Maybe a bit less skiddish but not by much. To me best horse overall is the Turkoman amd its temperment is certainly much better than the MFT or Arabians. Liked and subbed 👍
This is still working as of January 9, 2023 on PC. Took me a while to figure out why sometimes she wouldn't show up. You need to run around to all the smoke/campfires to finish those activities first. Sometimes the activities are just people camping, bandits, lawman tied up, etc. There's also a guy that teaches about American ginseng southeast of Face Rock. The time of day doesn't seem to matter, but I haven't done at night because my save was in the morning. Once other nearby activities are done and the auto save has already been triggered, run onto Face Rock on your horse. If you don't see her, stay on your horse and keep going west almost of the woods, then head back to Face Rock. If she's not there, run all around the area to see if there are smokes or activities. Once she starts to show up, make a save, then shoot her while you're on your horse. The first few times, she would not respawn unless I run west and come back. Eventually, she'll spawn faster. I have done several saves now and it only glitched twice. The first time, I got excited and fell off Face Rock. Got her the 2nd time after 5 kills. Once you see a live horse, don't shoot her. Let her run away.
I have her spawning, it's just that the horse keep dying, do I need to do the random encounters for a better chance or should I spend my time reloading and trying?
@@dakshawasthi_ximb6290 If after a dozen times, the horse still dies, just reload. I probably reloaded like 20 times. Both times that the horse spawned and didn’t die, it happened after less than a dozen kills. Make sure you don’t kill the lady after a horse lives. Let her run away. Once you mount the horse, take it to a stable.
can confirm this still works 11/29/2023 (on xbox latest version).. Took me many attempts but it finally worked. I did it in chapter 2, used a springfield rifle with a long scope, even after helping the lady in valentine. patience is entirely necessary for this to work, i almost gave up because of how long it took .. Overall, was it worth it? Probably not.. but I already completed the game once so decided why not just do it on the new playthrough. Below, are some helpful tips that I think worked for me -when i saw someone else riding up as im about to shoot, i killed him, BUT as the guys horse was riding up to the lady, JUST as i killed it the glitch ended up working after 3 hours of trying .. i guess it triggered the running animation at the perfect time or something, not sure but thats what worked for me -making a new save when it wouldnt work -consistently reloading game -staying scoped in with the rifle
The acceleration of the Arabian and its smooth gate make it the most pleasurable to ride. The MFT has a cooler temperament and is a bit faster but feels clunkier. My fave, the Wild Andalusian, is a slow horse in comparison but it's temperament supersedes any other faults. Has max health and over 3/4 stamina at full bond and has only ever bucked me 3-4 times in a whole 100% playthrough. It's stature also makes Arthur look good riding it, unlike the faster horses which are smaller, makes a "clown car" effect imho. Since the Andalusian is from the Iberian peninsula i.e. modern day south Portugal and Spain, I name it Coronado for male or Isabella (of Castile) for female. Since Arthur's original horse we never see was named Boudica (pronounced Bo-Di-see-ah) after the woman who led forces against the roman empire but lost in 60 AD. Try to keep with Arthur's trend of naming horses after important historical figures who's motives align with his own.
Coronado is lovely name. I don't actually like the Fox Trotter. For speed and nice ride, I like the Brindle thoroughbred. I like the Andalusian until I can get the Turkoman- I prefer to fight with that. It's pretty fast too.
@@allan2180 So i shot her about 20 times each load, and it must have been about 15 re-loads - a good couple of hours... The more you shoot her, the more NPC's ride past as witnesses i found, so contantly shooting them as well which means more ammo and most importantly, loss of honour. Tip for getting your honour back; fishing but catch and release, Greet everyone, for big honour returns, kill the KKK at their events another good one, dont kill the Legendary Gunslingers as in disarm them.
@@qpidstunt7183 the problem were the sidequest but I think I just need the woman being kidnapped but I don't know where it is, still even if a don't manage to the the horse I still have my turkoman :')
@@allan2180 Ahhh the woman being kidnapped rode past that very spot on the road below Face Rock quite a few times whilst i was busy killing the main woman standing by the MFT - which stopped her spawning until that 'event' had ridden off and past.
I thought you had to do the Uncle mission before the Hosea hunting mission becomes available? He just hangs around camp otherwise from what I've seen. Also, I think you're right about having to do the stagecoach fencing mission first. I've tried many this method times before, and I'm pretty sure it never worked until doing the second Hosea mission. I 100% agree about other random events in the area preventing her from spawning. That's been my experience as well. Comparing the MFT with the black Arabian (I assuming you stole it from St. Denis): they're both fast, but the Arabian has always "felt" faster because it has higher acceleration and more responsive handling, two things that you're going to rely on more during gameplay than top speed. The final factor you didn't mention is the bravery factor. I've gotten the SDP like you did on many occasions, and the bravery level tends to vary a little, with most of them being good or great. The black Arabian, the one you can steal, not the ones you can buy, have been amazingly brave for me, pretty much all of them great. Maybe the bravest horse in the entire game. In the end, it is about personal preference, like you said. BTW, you can get the Dutch Warmblood during the Hosea hunting mission for free, and yes, it's a favorite of mine too.
I use face rock for hunting. When you have the wagon robbing guy you can do a good loop for money and food between rhodes (to sell meat and get a stage coach robbery tip) then take care of the tip and head to emreald ranch to sell one of the stagecoaches and sell any thing you wish at the fence, head to face rock to hunt and then head back to rhodes to repeat the process.

For anyone wondering, this event will respawn over and over in different locations aslong as you DONT interact with the woman and DONT get the law on you… I have 4 biscuits now from going back and forth to face rock and spot where she spawns near six point cabin and the 2 spots by moonstone pond, I’ve gotten 1 biscuits from the Arcadia for amateurs mission, 2 biscuits from moon stone pond, and 1 from face rock, she’s continued to respawn even after getting 4 biscuits, I’ve never once interacted with her. Also side note if she isn’t there around moonstone pond, try and do a different stranger mission like the horse race stranger or the guy who gets bit by a snake, like you said in the video, do those events and leave the area for a while and go back she will always re appear
@@L0rd_0f_War I’m not sure if she will spawn again after you give her a ride to emerald ranch, she may spawn in chapter 3 from what I’ve read. She also appears in another location under Hagen Orchards toward the river, I would suggest making a save slot before giving her a ride and trying again, im only in chapter 2 .

@@L0rd_0f_War if you wanted you could start over, your still pretty early In the game , you can get them right after you do the hunting mission with Hosea buy the rifle and scope and find her, I had to do this myself
@@361bmxer111 Oh no, I am actually almost 100 hours into the game. I have just been completing the Satchels (which are complete), doing challenges, etc. Basically do everything possible in Chapter 2 before moving on. So I can't go back for a horse. Just a curiosity.
I definitely appreciate how you bring up the not-so-drastic difference in what the MFT brings to the table. Personally, I like the look of the MFT except for the white portion over the hindquarters... which is what you notice the most while riding, which is the purpose of this mount (sigh, so I don't ride the Dappled version of it). I like the Dark Bay Turkoman. The reason I do not like the Arabian is that it's tiny and I want a "real" horse. I know people have proven there is no "temperament" or hidden stat for it, but I can't kick the belief that the Arabian acts skittish ALL the time.
Was able to get it to work on ps4 version on 2/2/23. The auto save alert popped up right as I shot the lady and helped keep the horse alive- or maybe just coincidence. Either way, thank you for this video!
I see it as just one more difficult thing to do in the list of things. Is finding all the carvings worth the time? or the flowers or berries? Its rewarding, as a gamer, but ONLY if you do it cleanly from the Albert Mason event. No stagecoaches, no sniping, just finish with albert, run to your horse, chase it down, jump to it and break it. That is the only true way to do it. The reward is like everything else, you did it. Thats it.

Just got mine at Carmody Dell. 4-13-23 It definitely tried my patience multiple reloads, multiple times leaving area and coming back. The most I would shoot the lady in a row was 10 times…. When I got the MFT I got it after killing her twice. Just be patient, do some hunting working on satchel and camp upgrades…
May 14, 2023 Confirmed it still works on Xbox One. I’m currently on Chapter 2 and the only major missions I’ve done are the: 1. Ride into Valentine with uncle and the girls (“Polite Society, Valentine Style”) 2. Hunting the Grizzly Bear with Hosea (“Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego”) 3. Javier/Charles saloon brawl in Valentine (“Americans at Rest”) I haven’t done the Hosea-Seamus wagon-stealing partnership mission so I don’t think this mission is necessary for making the lady and horse spawn as mentioned in the video. I’ve done or are currently in the middle of some of the minor missions like the: 1. Miss Marjorie, Bertram and Magnifico (“The Smell of the Grease paint”) 2. Finding dinosaur bones (“A Test of Faith”) - only found one just to get the Quartz Stone reward 3. Finding rock formations (“Geology for Beginners”) Here’s how I did it: 1. Go to Face Rock and once you see the lady and horse spawned at their spot, save the game immediately. No need to run back and save some distance away. 2. Shoot the lady and wait for her to respawn. If she doesn’t run away a second or two after she spawns, the horse will fall to the ground. So you have to wait a second before shooting her after she spawns to determine if she’ll run away and the horse stays alive or if she stays still and the horse falls down. Do this only 10-15 times before loading your saved game to try again. Also make sure there’s no wanted alert on you. The lady and the horse won’t spawn otherwise. So kill all witnesses or possible witnesses to prevent that. Reload your save game if the wanted alert stays on (the lady escapes or witness(es) escape). 3. Once you get a live horse, go to the horse as quickly as possible. I made a mistake once of waiting too long and the lady ran away out of camera view. As I was going to the horse, there was a hilly part where I was traveling on the downslope and lost sight of the horse and it disappeared when I came back up! I captured it on my Twitch channel. 4. I don’t know if these other steps are necessary but this is what I did as soon as I got on the horse. I bonded with it until I reached level 1 and went to the closest stable to stable it. I then saved the game just to be sure. In the video, he said it takes patience and it truly does. It took me an hour and a half to get the first horse and the second took about 30 minutes. It’s all luck! But I hope this helps. Thanks to @Brindle Bucker for this clear video tutorial.
Nice video. I got two MFTs today at Face Rock. I have been seeing the lady and trying to figure out how to get the horse. Of course, I have been avoiding her.
Think I already gave her the ride but will have to try it, I do have a good horse though. Found the White Arabian right away in chapter 2. Did not know there was a Black Arabian but very new to the game even if it’s been out for so long :)) thanks for the video.
The very first time I went to face rock to so this, she spawned right off the bat lol. I wasn't ready. Didn't even have the medium or long scope. Was just seeing if she would spawn bc I hadn't done the mission at the stables with Hosea and Shamess and still needed to go to Rhodes to upgrade the scope. Anyways, I didn't kill her bc it was at night and in a haze. Just grazed her once. Only reason I know 100% is bc the horse was there. But now even after upgrading and being ready, she will not spawn. Everything else you mentioned has twice, besides the bottle shooter...(who beat me bc you can't see most of the bottles in that pond bed.) He only has once. But she just won't respawn.
one youtube did a test with all the horses...in the end...the mustag was the best over all. Speed...distance with speed and fear...the mustag will never buck you off...put a cougar sattle on him..and your good. This house never runs out of energy
Speed does not matter much in this game because your horses can only run as fast as a curtain level the game allows them to. You may notice this from when you repeatedly smash ypur X button but the horse just does not respond even there is zero factor for them to slow down. And one more proof is that you can win any horseraces with any horse you're riding. A K. Saddler can outrun both 7 speed Nokota of that rich guy and 9 speed brindle of the girl. So it is only for the look you like. The more important stats are stamina and how easy they get spooked.
@@igobythisname I would say the MFT in this video, the Hungarian and the one that you can get at the Brandywine Drop (I can't remember the name) are all okay in terms of bravery. It also depends on your control of the horse. If you encounter a pack of wolves and sitting still, your horse will definitely buck you off no matter what kinds of horse you're riding. But if you make them move away from enemies and constantly press the left analog to calm them down, they should be fine. Even my Arabians didn't throw me off when we were attacked by a wolf pack. Just don't panic.
@@toon.jane. ah yes, the Perlino Andalusian! I grabbed her last week. I love the how the Hungarian looks too but haven't tried to add one to my collection yet. The warped brindle Arabian is the latest one I've tamed to my liking and collection. I wanted to get the Black Arabian but I'm only in Chapter 3. I'm currently trying to test ride the MFT. I had to load up an old Save to try the NPC exploit since I already interacted with the lady on my lastest save, but so far I keep respawning dead MFT. I'm constantly bonding with my horses and my Arabians keep bucking me off when wolves arrive, I think I am panicking so maybe that's why I am looking for a better horse, LOL!
Sad face... I believe i already gave that woman a ride to Emerald Ranch... so I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck for this method on my current play through. Oh well, there's always the next time.
Yeah, I've got a couple videos on that method as well ;-) That method can be a real pain though- and you can only get the horse once. With Face Rock, once she begins spawning, you can make a save and get 100 of these horses guaranteed. No tracking. No chasing. No trying to jump on the horse. No bucking. No worries about falling off the horse before reaching the stable.

Bro I been going through hell trying to get Arthur a bolero sombrero....safe to say we like going through some ish getting things that weren't meant for Arthur
8th of February still works on PS5, shot her maybe 60 times to get it. It worked before that but I had just remained constantly hardscoped , when I dropped the scope the horse vanished. After that I always aimed and shot every time, then when the horse spawned alive it didn't vanish. Also much easier when done at night,.less witness potential.
I have some lady a ride to Van Horn back in chapter 2. I guess I ruined this method? I heard there are different spawn locations of different ladies. One needs a ride to Lagras for example.
It is a very pretty coat. Striking. I think it's important to enjoy looking at the horse Arthur rides while you're playing. This is one of the reasons I actually like the Mahogany Bay T Walker so much. It's not got much to recommend it as far as stats, but it has a very distinctive look.
@@brindlebucker4741 I can agree with that.. The only horse Arthur uses are the beginning TW.. the DW and the MFT.. I used to let him have Buell but since we all know what happens to Arthur's horses.
@@driftinziggygaming7395 Arthur and John can keep Buel, with Arthur you need to scare the horse with bullet when it's outside Hamish house, then feed it until it's yours. And then come back with John and finish the story. This method worked not so long ago, I think it still works.

She doesn’t spawn for me. My last mission was “No Good Deed”. At least that’s what my AutoSave says. My next mission is to look for the little boy abducted from our gang. I’m not really sure if I have ever helped her before. Maybe I’ve lost the opportunity already. I however have managed to get the Amber Champagne MFT. Thoughts?
It' s likely you've already given her a ride or refused to, and she's not going to spawn any more. When I did these videos on this, I began a chapter 2 playthrough knowing I was going to do this. But my 1st playthrough I didn't know about this, and I remember just galloping past her because she annoyed me. If you're in chapter 4, you just buy a Fox Trotter at Scarlett Meadows stable. It's the same horse, it just has a different coat.
They’re 2 ladies that ride MFTs, one goes to Emerald Ranch (Moonstone Pond) and the other goes to Lagras (Face Rock). If I did the Emerald Ranch one will the Lagras one still spawn?
God I miss the days when you could lasso an NPC off their horse and drag them a bit, then release them and ride off and they’d spawn a new horse to chase you that could be ANY horse in the game, even the epilogue horses. I wish they hadn’t patched that lol.
My favourite horse is the Belgian Draft Horse. I don't actually like the MFT that much. It's not even my top 10. I just don't get along with it. My top 3 faves are Belgian Draft Horse, Chocolate Roan DWB and Brindle Thoroughbred. I like Draft horses, Dutch WBs, Thoroughbreds and Appaloosas. The MFTs... not so much.
Yep. Just go away and play the game a little while. Make a save. Leave the game. Come back. She's GOT to spawn again. It's part of the game. She will keep spawning until you interact, and then she stops. This method requires patience, but once she spawned once, she will continue to do so. You might just have to leave the game, but if you keep checking she will come back eventually.
I could never get the horse to spawn alive at Face Rock so I Gave up after like a hundred shots and several hours. Then I encountered the lady spawning by the lake and got a horse after the third shot. I went back a short time later and she spawned again and got two more horses after only 5 shots. For some reason Face Rock didn't seem to work for me, but Moonstone Pond got me three horses with very little effort in just a few minutes.
I just tried two hours of shooting her at Face Rock with no luck. I’ll have to try Moonstone Pond tomorrow. I was trying to see if there were any comments saying it was patched or it wasn’t working for them either. It took me forever just to get her to respawn after I killed her the first time. For some reason she only respawns if I’m on my horse. If I dismount she won’t respawn.
@@LinkinPaw32 I just went by Moonstone and she was there and got a horse to spawn alive after second shot. I always approach from that little side trail below where the Munk spawns on the cliff. Go just a little ways down that trail and look at where it intersects with the road the the pond. That is where she always spawns for me. Also, I noticed the same thing, she won't respawn if your not on your horse.
Spawned for me a number of times in a period of 4 hours but cant get the horse to stay alive. Shooting from distance but as soon as i scope, horse falls. Tried shooting her multiple times to see if the horse respawns but nothing. Will keep trying. Thanks
I tried for a day but no luck, tho I do remember giving a lady a ride, but her dead horse looked different and it was near the swamps when I found her, wondering if that has to do with it
@@sefirgod527 you gotta have a rifle with a long scope, it’s really all about lucc. Instead of going by the electrical pole , go through the tunnel and go up top of the hill to where you can still see and shoot the lady. Shoot her and kill her , but remain looking through the scope until she respawns then kill her again. Don’t repeat more then 5x if it takes more then 5…save and reload keep doing that till you get it. The horse will appear dead each time until you do the glitch correctly. Let me know how it’s goes
Don't have to do any of that just go a little north of st denis where those 3 buildings are in a row where 2 horses spawn, just keep running north past the Red barn and going back until he shows up, there's plenty of great horses spawning there.
Brindle, I too don't get the fascination with this horse, It just doesn't feel right for me to have Arthur riding around on a Barbie Playhouse colored Horse. The stats are great, but that color gets annoying after several days in the saddle. After getting the speed buff on the snakeskin trapper saddle you can make alot horses a decent ride. If there was a way to make the braithwaite turkoman a female horse, that would be the perfect ride for Arthur.
Totally frustrated at the moment. Still in Chapter 2, crossed paths with Biscuit once, but did not interact with the horse or the woman. Got myself a nice save near Face Rock where they're spawning in, but for the life of me, that horse keeps dropping dead. I spent 90 minutes trying last night to no avail. Kept myself to a 10-snipe limit on the woman. Any suggestions?
Same for me. Killed that lady almost 500 times in last 2 days, and spent a lot of time, but never got a live one. Have got it from Albert Mason mission though couple of times in earlier play throughs.
If anyone’s interested, i know it’s a bit of topic but at moonstone pond there’s an old cabin with a fallen tree allowing access to the inside. In a lockbox you’ll find a homing tomahawk pamphlet and a large jewellery bag worth $50 and a bat to pick up if your interested in completing the critter compendium!
you missed the most important part: if you save the game after you picked them up and come back there will be a jewelry bag each time

I can confirm as of Jan 28th 2023 this STILL WORKS. I'm playing on the Xbox Series S. Took me roughly about an hour. Killed her about 40 times and finally horse spawned alive. She spawned for me on the road by Parmody Dell, which is NE of Heartland Oil Fields. Be patient. It may not happen right away, but it will happen. Also I'm currently in Chapter 2 just finished the mission with Hosea and the Fence
Still works I just got Biscuit, by Face rock in Chapter 3. With a lot of saves and loads I finally got her. I've been trying for weeks. [February 26th, 2023].
Damn we the same I tried after that mission but after I killed her like 16 times and the horse kept dieing so I thought it wasn't working so I ran away

As of 2024, March 24 still working on PS 5! But it took literally for ever, keep trying! It first bucked me off but I followed her and got her back. Never lose sight of her ! And the is a mare 🥰🥰🥰. I am in chapter 4.
Thank you soooo much. I had my save next to face rock, and I messed up and reloaded enough to get her to show up everytime. But I was starting to get discouraged because I had a pile of about 50 of her bodies and it wasn't working.
Your advice to just shoot 20 times and reload got me my horse. What I notice is that if she reloads and instantly starts running, her next reload will load the live horse.

Killer tutorial. Still works as of 05/07/23! Just reload your save if it doesn’t work after the first 20 bodies! I got her after about 5 on my second round! And the comments saying if she spawns and immediately starts running, the next one will spawn alive. Were also accurate for me. Good luck!

It still works! After 2 days of struggling and reloading I just got mine after 5 minutes! I'm early in chapter 2. The only sniper I could get this early was the Springfield & with high velocity bullets it's almost always an instant kill. Now let's greet sm ppl to repair honor. 😂

I DID IT!! After literal HOURS and hours through a span of a handful of days, I finally got her! I tried so many other tactics and videos and they never worked. I think you absolutely need the Springfield rifle scope. It’s the only scoped gun you can get at the beginning of chapter 2 (to my knowledge). I don’t know if it changes the probability or makes the glitch more likely to happen, but it definitely makes it easier regardless just with the scope itself so you’re not relying on dead eye (which quickly drains). Over the span of these days I tallied hundreds and hundreds of kills, but after doing this with the Springfield rifle, it took maybe ~50 kills with one save reload in the middle. This works as of 3/2/2023!

Got it! Thank you for the thorough review. 3/12/23 I had to come back to the area multiple times and just took my time with it. Like you said I found doing activities in the area seemed to make the instance show up. I did have to go back and forth nearby to keep resetting it, until it finally reset everytime in one spot on top of the rock.
The difference between the MFT and the Arab is temperament, the Arab is high strung and will throw you faster in wolf attacks or if they're near a predator they panic faster.
I've just recently got the black arabian, only managed to get 2 bonding level, I can definitely confirm what you're saying. As soon as there's an alligator in sight, she starts getting scared. Sometimes it's an absolute nonsense, I can't even see the predator an the horse is already managing to throw me off
It's interesting because there are plentiful forum threads about how there is no such thing as temperament, and there are no coded lines for it... but my experience is that the Arabians definitely scare way easier than the Thoroughbred I got with the Ultimate edition. But also in my experience, there was almost no difference between the MFT and Arabian... both were scared easily.

You can train your horse to be less timid. Whenever it gets spooked, successfully calm it (while on its back) and feed it a carrot. My black Arabian never throws me. Hope this helps! It’s certainly something I wish I knew sooner 😂

Another excellent video. What a masterpiece of a game this is. There are so many ways to play and so much to discover. This horse was never intended to be acquired yet it has become a whole side quest in itself with many videos made on the subject. This being one of the best. Well done.
Agree with everything you say. It's basically become a mission the fans/players created. With the Rockstar missions, you get cues during the mission of what you're supposed to do. But with this, it's down to fans to post their own footage of how they did it. Other fans expand upon it.
What I love about the console's recording feature is it gives you the ability to chronicle things and compare them accurately. You can find out what actually works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the video! As of June 2023 Face Rock still works on PC. I am early in chapter 2 for this replay. It took about three hours and several reloads but I finally got the MFT. It took way longer than the Albert Mason method but was much less stressful and you could totally zone out doing it. Much preferred over the Carmody Dell location. She is so out in the open and its easy to tell when she gets up and runs! Like others have said before, if she isn't showing up look around the area for events. Kill the campers, resolve the events. Your honor is going to tank with this method so don't try and be nice. I'll likely still keep killing her if I ever see her walking on the road, just in case the MFT gets killed and I need a replacement. Happy hunting!

6/18/23 Face rock method still working, just need extra patience, killed 20, reload save file, and repeat...took about 2 hours but right after the last one, lady drifts and the horse stays alive. Thank you very much!
As of 8-13-24 the Moonstone Pond one still works. I shot the lady from the train tunnel south west of where he is in the video. I am very early on chapter 2. I only had to shoot her 3 times so I got super lucky. I would shoot her, take her out of my scope, move the camera away, and by the 3rd time the MFT was just standing there waiting for me. Great video! Thanks guy!
Got this to work today in chapter 3 - where she spawns on the road, just below the P of the trading post (east of Flatneck Station) The biggest part I figured out was you're basically interrupting the spawing scripting, by being juuuust close enough that you can study the horse. Once you get that prompt, you're good! Get too close, it stops working. Also, once you've got it alive, Don't let it out of your sight, or it will despawn. I'll see if I can get a video of what I did. I'm pretty sure she was in this spot for me in chapter 2 too..
still works as of 24/04/23 ! took me a couple hours but she finally respawned alive at moonstone pond. a comment below said that if the lady immediately runs after respawning the next horse will be alive and this held true for mine as well! ty for your tutorial :)
Still working as of January 26th 2024 via PS5. In fact this was the only guide that worked. I'd even say if it doesn't spawn a live horse at Face Rock after 5 attempts, reload.
Placement of Arthur on his horse seems to make a difference - if you can get a little closer and make her run the next MFT spawns alive. As others have said, don't let her out of your sight - if you camera move away she'll disappear. The glitch can be repeated after, in fact on my save I went back and could repeat it. Horse takes a little longer to accelerate than the white Arabian but is faster when up to gallop, and way better behaved at level 1 than the other is at level 4. Thanks.

I've seen this lady and her horse near flatneck station but every time I kill her she never respawn any suggestions and i already check the moonstone lake but she's not there.

Great explanation and works for PC version. I was getting the Face Rock encounter intermittently until I learned to clear the area of any other random encounters. After that I was finding the lady all the time. It took about 20+ reloads before I can get the Missouri Fox Trotter to stand, but I finally got it. BTW, after I got the MFT, I managed to encounter the lady again in different spawn location (East of Valentine).
September 2024, it still works, she also spawns at Carmody Dell, just east of the farm, approach from the S/W over the hill from the oil fields.
As of May 17, 2023: this still works. I just did it 5 mins ago. 👍🏻

Super Video. Durch die tolle Anleitung in dem Video, ist es mir sogar gelungen, 2 zu fangen.
I did the Arcadia for Amateurs method but I didnt like the tracking BS it was too much of a hassle. I just positioned my horse next to Albert and when I almost had the herd of horses back to him I cut off to the right and kinda gave myself a bit of a headstart. I quickly skipped the cutscene and when I got on my horse the MFT was just going over the hill but I was able to keep an eye on it and chase it for what seemed like an hour, got bucked off twice, clotheslined by a tree once, almost lost the horse 3 times, and even after I broke it successfully and achieved Lvl 1 bonding I ran into a a log and fell off the horse and couldn't get back on. Thankfully I had achieved that Lvl 1 bonding and was able to whistle and have it follow me back to the stables so I could save it or I would have been screwed. If anyone tells you obtaining this horse is "no big deal" or "easy"
they are a lying sack of sh#t and you should inform them immediately of that fact.
But like most struggles when you have achieved your goal its more than worth it and that's no lie.
The MFT is second to none and getting it in chapter 2 so you can enjoy it for the whole playthrough is amazing!

Edit: I almost forgot to say good job on the video and your i sights were helpful. For me its just about the look of the horse. Stats wise it really isnt any better than the Black or Grey Aranian. Maybe a bit less skiddish but not by much. To me best horse overall is the Turkoman amd its temperment is certainly much better than the MFT or Arabians.

This is still working as of January 9, 2023 on PC. Took me a while to figure out why sometimes she wouldn't show up. You need to run around to all the smoke/campfires to finish those activities first. Sometimes the activities are just people camping, bandits, lawman tied up, etc. There's also a guy that teaches about American ginseng southeast of Face Rock. The time of day doesn't seem to matter, but I haven't done at night because my save was in the morning. Once other nearby activities are done and the auto save has already been triggered, run onto Face Rock on your horse. If you don't see her, stay on your horse and keep going west almost of the woods, then head back to Face Rock. If she's not there, run all around the area to see if there are smokes or activities. Once she starts to show up, make a save, then shoot her while you're on your horse. The first few times, she would not respawn unless I run west and come back. Eventually, she'll spawn faster. I have done several saves now and it only glitched twice. The first time, I got excited and fell off Face Rock. Got her the 2nd time after 5 kills. Once you see a live horse, don't shoot her. Let her run away.
I have her spawning, it's just that the horse keep dying, do I need to do the random encounters for a better chance or should I spend my time reloading and trying?

@@dakshawasthi_ximb6290 If after a dozen times, the horse still dies, just reload. I probably reloaded like 20 times. Both times that the horse spawned and didn’t die, it happened after less than a dozen kills. Make sure you don’t kill the lady after a horse lives. Let her run away. Once you mount the horse, take it to a stable.
To let her run away... Shoot next to her?

can confirm this still works 11/29/2023 (on xbox latest version).. Took me many attempts but it finally worked. I did it in chapter 2, used a springfield rifle with a long scope, even after helping the lady in valentine. patience is entirely necessary for this to work, i almost gave up because of how long it took .. Overall, was it worth it? Probably not.. but I already completed the game once so decided why not just do it on the new playthrough. Below, are some helpful tips that I think worked for me
-when i saw someone else riding up as im about to shoot, i killed him, BUT as the guys horse was riding up to the lady, JUST as i killed it the glitch ended up working after 3 hours of trying .. i guess it triggered the running animation at the perfect time or something, not sure but thats what worked for me
-making a new save when it wouldnt work
-consistently reloading game
-staying scoped in with the rifle

The acceleration of the Arabian and its smooth gate make it the most pleasurable to ride.
The MFT has a cooler temperament and is a bit faster but feels clunkier.
My fave, the Wild Andalusian, is a slow horse in comparison but it's temperament supersedes any other faults. Has max health and over 3/4 stamina at full bond and has only ever bucked me 3-4 times in a whole 100% playthrough. It's stature also makes Arthur look good riding it, unlike the faster horses which are smaller, makes a "clown car" effect imho.
Since the Andalusian is from the Iberian peninsula i.e. modern day south Portugal and Spain, I name it Coronado for male or Isabella (of Castile) for female. Since Arthur's original horse we never see was named Boudica (pronounced Bo-Di-see-ah) after the woman who led forces against the roman empire but lost in 60 AD. Try to keep with Arthur's trend of naming horses after important historical figures who's motives align with his own.
Coronado is lovely name. I don't actually like the Fox Trotter. For speed and nice ride, I like the Brindle thoroughbred. I like the Andalusian until I can get the Turkoman- I prefer to fight with that. It's pretty fast too.
I can't find an option to name a wild- caught horse at the stable - where is it?

I got my horse today via the Face Rock method (February 14, 2023). Took two in-game days. This trick really does work; the only secret is patience.

@@allan2180 So i shot her about 20 times each load, and it must have been about 15 re-loads - a good couple of hours... The more you shoot her, the more NPC's ride past as witnesses i found, so contantly shooting them as well which means more ammo and most importantly, loss of honour.
Tip for getting your honour back; fishing but catch and release, Greet everyone, for big honour returns, kill the KKK at their events another good one, dont kill the Legendary Gunslingers as in disarm them.
@@qpidstunt7183 the problem were the sidequest but I think I just need the woman being kidnapped but I don't know where it is, still even if a don't manage to the the horse I still have my turkoman :')
@@allan2180 Ahhh the woman being kidnapped rode past that very spot on the road below Face Rock quite a few times whilst i was busy killing the main woman standing by the MFT - which stopped her spawning until that 'event' had ridden off and past.

I thought you had to do the Uncle mission before the Hosea hunting mission becomes available? He just hangs around camp otherwise from what I've seen.
Also, I think you're right about having to do the stagecoach fencing mission first. I've tried many this method times before, and I'm pretty sure it never worked until doing the second Hosea mission.
I 100% agree about other random events in the area preventing her from spawning. That's been my experience as well.
Comparing the MFT with the black Arabian (I assuming you stole it from St. Denis): they're both fast, but the Arabian has always "felt" faster because it has higher acceleration and more responsive handling, two things that you're going to rely on more during gameplay than top speed. The final factor you didn't mention is the bravery factor. I've gotten the SDP like you did on many occasions, and the bravery level tends to vary a little, with most of them being good or great. The black Arabian, the one you can steal, not the ones you can buy, have been amazingly brave for me, pretty much all of them great. Maybe the bravest horse in the entire game. In the end, it is about personal preference, like you said. BTW, you can get the Dutch Warmblood during the Hosea hunting mission for free, and yes, it's a favorite of mine too.
I use face rock for hunting. When you have the wagon robbing guy you can do a good loop for money and food between rhodes (to sell meat and get a stage coach robbery tip) then take care of the tip and head to emreald ranch to sell one of the stagecoaches and sell any thing you wish at the fence, head to face rock to hunt and then head back to rhodes to repeat the process.

For anyone wondering, this event will respawn over and over in different locations aslong as you DONT interact with the woman and DONT get the law on you… I have 4 biscuits now from going back and forth to face rock and spot where she spawns near six point cabin and the 2 spots by moonstone pond, I’ve gotten 1 biscuits from the Arcadia for amateurs mission, 2 biscuits from moon stone pond, and 1 from face rock, she’s continued to respawn even after getting 4 biscuits, I’ve never once interacted with her. Also side note if she isn’t there around moonstone pond, try and do a different stranger mission like the horse race stranger or the guy who gets bit by a snake, like you said in the video, do those events and leave the area for a while and go back she will always re appear
So if I have given the lady a ride to Emerald Ranch from another location, she won't spawn ever again?? on any of the locations?
@@L0rd_0f_War I’m not sure if she will spawn again after you give her a ride to emerald ranch, she may spawn in chapter 3 from what I’ve read. She also appears in another location under Hagen Orchards toward the river, I would suggest making a save slot before giving her a ride and trying again, im only in chapter 2 .

@@361bmxer111 Oh no, I am actually almost 100 hours into the game. I have just been completing the Satchels (which are complete), doing challenges, etc. Basically do everything possible in Chapter 2 before moving on. So I can't go back for a horse. Just a curiosity.
I definitely appreciate how you bring up the not-so-drastic difference in what the MFT brings to the table. Personally, I like the look of the MFT except for the white portion over the hindquarters... which is what you notice the most while riding, which is the purpose of this mount (sigh, so I don't ride the Dappled version of it). I like the Dark Bay Turkoman. The reason I do not like the Arabian is that it's tiny and I want a "real" horse. I know people have proven there is no "temperament" or hidden stat for it, but I can't kick the belief that the Arabian acts skittish ALL the time.

Was able to get it to work on ps4 version on 2/2/23. The auto save alert popped up right as I shot the lady and helped keep the horse alive- or maybe just coincidence. Either way, thank you for this video!
I see it as just one more difficult thing to do in the list of things. Is finding all the carvings worth the time? or the flowers or berries? Its rewarding, as a gamer, but ONLY if you do it cleanly from the Albert Mason event. No stagecoaches, no sniping, just finish with albert, run to your horse, chase it down, jump to it and break it.
That is the only true way to do it. The reward is like everything else, you did it. Thats it.

Just got mine at Carmody Dell. 4-13-23 It definitely tried my patience multiple reloads, multiple times leaving area and coming back. The most I would shoot the lady in a row was 10 times…. When I got the MFT I got it after killing her twice. Just be patient, do some hunting working on satchel and camp upgrades…

Confirmed it still works on Xbox One.
I’m currently on Chapter 2 and the only major missions I’ve done are the:
1. Ride into Valentine with uncle and the girls (“Polite Society, Valentine Style”)
2. Hunting the Grizzly Bear with Hosea (“Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego”)
3. Javier/Charles saloon brawl in Valentine (“Americans at Rest”)
I haven’t done the Hosea-Seamus wagon-stealing partnership mission so I don’t think this mission is necessary for making the lady and horse spawn as mentioned in the video.
I’ve done or are currently in the middle of some of the minor missions like the:
1. Miss Marjorie, Bertram and Magnifico (“The Smell of the Grease paint”)
2. Finding dinosaur bones (“A Test of Faith”) - only found one just to get the Quartz Stone reward
3. Finding rock formations (“Geology for Beginners”)
Here’s how I did it:
1. Go to Face Rock and once you see the lady and horse spawned at their spot, save the game immediately. No need to run back and save some distance away.
2. Shoot the lady and wait for her to respawn. If she doesn’t run away a second or two after she spawns, the horse will fall to the ground. So you have to wait a second before shooting her after she spawns to determine if she’ll run away and the horse stays alive or if she stays still and the horse falls down. Do this only 10-15 times before loading your saved game to try again. Also make sure there’s no wanted alert on you. The lady and the horse won’t spawn otherwise. So kill all witnesses or possible witnesses to prevent that. Reload your save game if the wanted alert stays on (the lady escapes or witness(es) escape).
3. Once you get a live horse, go to the horse as quickly as possible. I made a mistake once of waiting too long and the lady ran away out of camera view. As I was going to the horse, there was a hilly part where I was traveling on the downslope and lost sight of the horse and it disappeared when I came back up! I captured it on my Twitch channel.
4. I don’t know if these other steps are necessary but this is what I did as soon as I got on the horse. I bonded with it until I reached level 1 and went to the closest stable to stable it. I then saved the game just to be sure.
In the video, he said it takes patience and it truly does. It took me an hour and a half to get the first horse and the second took about 30 minutes. It’s all luck! But I hope this helps. Thanks to @Brindle Bucker for this clear video tutorial.
Nice video. I got two MFTs today at Face Rock. I have been seeing the lady and trying to figure out how to get the horse. Of course, I have been avoiding her.

Think I already gave her the ride but will have to try it, I do have a good horse though. Found the White Arabian right away in chapter 2. Did not know there was a Black Arabian but very new to the game even if it’s been out for so long :)) thanks for the video.
The very first time I went to face rock to so this, she spawned right off the bat lol. I wasn't ready. Didn't even have the medium or long scope. Was just seeing if she would spawn bc I hadn't done the mission at the stables with Hosea and Shamess and still needed to go to Rhodes to upgrade the scope. Anyways, I didn't kill her bc it was at night and in a haze. Just grazed her once. Only reason I know 100% is bc the horse was there. But now even after upgrading and being ready, she will not spawn. Everything else you mentioned has twice, besides the bottle shooter...(who beat me bc you can't see most of the bottles in that pond bed.) He only has once. But she just won't respawn.
Got it on PS5. Anyone know if it'll despawn and go back to horse that's in your stable? Or is it safe until the end or dies?
one youtube did a test with all the horses...in the end...the mustag was the best over all. Speed...distance with speed and fear...the mustag will never buck you off...put a cougar sattle on him..and your good. This house never runs out of energy
Speed does not matter much in this game because your horses can only run as fast as a curtain level the game allows them to. You may notice this from when you repeatedly smash ypur X button but the horse just does not respond even there is zero factor for them to slow down. And one more proof is that you can win any horseraces with any horse you're riding. A K. Saddler can outrun both 7 speed Nokota of that rich guy and 9 speed brindle of the girl. So it is only for the look you like. The more important stats are stamina and how easy they get spooked.

@@igobythisname I would say the MFT in this video, the Hungarian and the one that you can get at the Brandywine Drop (I can't remember the name) are all okay in terms of bravery. It also depends on your control of the horse. If you encounter a pack of wolves and sitting still, your horse will definitely buck you off no matter what kinds of horse you're riding. But if you make them move away from enemies and constantly press the left analog to calm them down, they should be fine. Even my Arabians didn't throw me off when we were attacked by a wolf pack. Just don't panic.
@@toon.jane. ah yes, the Perlino Andalusian! I grabbed her last week. I love the how the Hungarian looks too but haven't tried to add one to my collection yet. The warped brindle Arabian is the latest one I've tamed to my liking and collection. I wanted to get the Black Arabian but I'm only in Chapter 3. I'm currently trying to test ride the MFT. I had to load up an old Save to try the NPC exploit since I already interacted with the lady on my lastest save, but so far I keep respawning dead MFT. I'm constantly bonding with my horses and my Arabians keep bucking me off when wolves arrive, I think I am panicking so maybe that's why I am looking for a better horse, LOL!
This still works but a much easier way is doing the Albert Mason's side mission...you get the horse and dont lose honor getting it
Sad face... I believe i already gave that woman a ride to Emerald Ranch... so I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck for this method on my current play through. Oh well, there's always the next time.
You can get the horse during the arcadia for amateurs side quest ones will always spawn in alive u just need to track it after the mission is over
Yeah, I've got a couple videos on that method as well ;-)
That method can be a real pain though- and you can only get the horse once. With Face Rock, once she begins spawning, you can make a save and get 100 of these horses guaranteed. No tracking. No chasing. No trying to jump on the horse. No bucking. No worries about falling off the horse before reaching the stable.
@@brindlebucker4741 The problem is in my game this lady never spawns at face rock. she spawns on north of valentine after I visited Arthur's bitch and on my way to save her dumb brother.
Bro I been going through hell trying to get Arthur a bolero sombrero....safe to say we like going through some ish getting things that weren't meant for Arthur
best time to get that hat is from Flaco's boys, it's a hit or miss deal but possible. I got it that way. If one ain't wearing it reload and try again.

8th of February still works on PS5, shot her maybe 60 times to get it. It worked before that but I had just remained constantly hardscoped , when I dropped the scope the horse vanished. After that I always aimed and shot every time, then when the horse spawned alive it didn't vanish. Also much easier when done at night,.less witness potential.
I have some lady a ride to Van Horn back in chapter 2. I guess I ruined this method? I heard there are different spawn locations of different ladies. One needs a ride to Lagras for example.

I want the horse for Arthur because it has one of my favorite coats..and because Arthur can't normally get it.
It is a very pretty coat. Striking. I think it's important to enjoy looking at the horse Arthur rides while you're playing. This is one of the reasons I actually like the Mahogany Bay T Walker so much. It's not got much to recommend it as far as stats, but it has a very distinctive look.
@@brindlebucker4741 I can agree with that.. The only horse Arthur uses are the beginning TW.. the DW and the MFT.. I used to let him have Buell but since we all know what happens to Arthur's horses.

@@driftinziggygaming7395 Arthur and John can keep Buel, with Arthur you need to scare the horse with bullet when it's outside Hamish house, then feed it until it's yours. And then come back with John and finish the story. This method worked not so long ago, I think it still works.

Killed her 8-10 times then reloaded the game.
On the 6 reload I shot her 3 times and got the horse..
It takes patience lol

I’m on ps4 and after I kill her, she doesn’t respawn. She just lay there dead. And if I look away, the body despawns😅
I got it to spawn a live horse yesterday 3-25-23 on the xbox version. I used the spawn location at moonstone pond, only took me about 30 minutes.

the woman at face rock is not the same woman at any of the other places, the woman at face rock is from lagras the other woman is from emerald ranch.
She doesn’t spawn for me. My last mission was “No Good Deed”. At least that’s what my AutoSave says. My next mission is to look for the little boy abducted from our gang. I’m not really sure if I have ever helped her before. Maybe I’ve lost the opportunity already. I however have managed to get the Amber Champagne MFT. Thoughts?
It' s likely you've already given her a ride or refused to, and she's not going to spawn any more. When I did these videos on this, I began a chapter 2 playthrough knowing I was going to do this. But my 1st playthrough I didn't know about this, and I remember just galloping past her because she annoyed me.
If you're in chapter 4, you just buy a Fox Trotter at Scarlett Meadows stable. It's the same horse, it just has a different coat.

They’re 2 ladies that ride MFTs, one goes to Emerald Ranch (Moonstone Pond) and the other goes to Lagras (Face Rock). If I did the Emerald Ranch one will the Lagras one still spawn?

God I miss the days when you could lasso an NPC off their horse and drag them a bit, then release them and ride off and they’d spawn a new horse to chase you that could be ANY horse in the game, even the epilogue horses. I wish they hadn’t patched that lol.

My favourite horse is the Belgian Draft Horse. I don't actually like the MFT that much. It's not even my top 10. I just don't get along with it. My top 3 faves are Belgian Draft Horse, Chocolate Roan DWB and Brindle Thoroughbred.
I like Draft horses, Dutch WBs, Thoroughbreds and Appaloosas. The MFTs... not so much.

Yep. Just go away and play the game a little while. Make a save. Leave the game. Come back. She's GOT to spawn again. It's part of the game. She will keep spawning until you interact, and then she stops.
This method requires patience, but once she spawned once, she will continue to do so. You might just have to leave the game, but if you keep checking she will come back eventually.
Reload the game and try it again. At least that worked for me.
It is not about speed it is about not getting bucked off your hourse whenever a wolf shows up
I could never get the horse to spawn alive at Face Rock so I Gave up after like a hundred shots and several hours. Then I encountered the lady spawning by the lake and got a horse after the third shot. I went back a short time later and she spawned again and got two more horses after only 5 shots. For some reason Face Rock didn't seem to work for me, but Moonstone Pond got me three horses with very little effort in just a few minutes.
I just tried two hours of shooting her at Face Rock with no luck. I’ll have to try Moonstone Pond tomorrow. I was trying to see if there were any comments saying it was patched or it wasn’t working for them either. It took me forever just to get her to respawn after I killed her the first time. For some reason she only respawns if I’m on my horse. If I dismount she won’t respawn.
@@LinkinPaw32 I just went by Moonstone and she was there and got a horse to spawn alive after second shot. I always approach from that little side trail below where the Munk spawns on the cliff. Go just a little ways down that trail and look at where it intersects with the road the the pond. That is where she always spawns for me. Also, I noticed the same thing, she won't respawn if your not on your horse.
Still works as of July 3 2023.i had to save after the first time I sniped her to finally get it to work for whatever reason.

Spawned for me a number of times in a period of 4 hours but cant get the horse to stay alive. Shooting from distance but as soon as i scope, horse falls. Tried shooting her multiple times to see if the horse respawns but nothing. Will keep trying. Thanks
I tried for a day but no luck, tho I do remember giving a lady a ride, but her dead horse looked different and it was near the swamps when I found her, wondering if that has to do with it

Works as of 01-14-23 think you have to bond to level 1 then stable it. Save then you should be good

@@sefirgod527 you gotta have a rifle with a long scope, it’s really all about lucc. Instead of going by the electrical pole , go through the tunnel and go up top of the hill to where you can still see and shoot the lady. Shoot her and kill her , but remain looking through the scope until she respawns then kill her again. Don’t repeat more then 5x if it takes more then 5…save and reload keep doing that till you get it. The horse will appear dead each time until you do the glitch correctly. Let me know how it’s goes
Don't have to do any of that just go a little north of st denis where those 3 buildings are in a row where 2 horses spawn, just keep running north past the Red barn and going back until he shows up, there's plenty of great horses spawning there.

Brindle, I too don't get the fascination with this horse, It just doesn't feel right for me to have Arthur riding around on a Barbie Playhouse colored Horse. The stats are great, but that color gets annoying after several days in the saddle. After getting the speed buff on the snakeskin trapper saddle you can make alot horses a decent ride. If there was a way to make the braithwaite turkoman a female horse, that would be the perfect ride for Arthur.
Yes, you can down load "Rampage trainer" and spawn any horse in the game and also choose its gender.

It is probably the rolling block just after the Marston/sheep mission before you go back to camp and move. Just a guess.

Totally frustrated at the moment. Still in Chapter 2, crossed paths with Biscuit once, but did not interact with the horse or the woman. Got myself a nice save near Face Rock where they're spawning in, but for the life of me, that horse keeps dropping dead. I spent 90 minutes trying last night to no avail. Kept myself to a 10-snipe limit on the woman. Any suggestions?
Same for me. Killed that lady almost 500 times in last 2 days, and spent a lot of time, but never got a live one. Have got it from Albert Mason mission though couple of times in earlier play throughs.
