If u decide to get these headphones you will be able to hear game volume without a cord but you have to talk to people using an Xbox one adapter for your controller or using one of the new controllers you have to plug in aux cord from the controller into the headset to talk to people but to hear game sound I need to do is plug the USB into the back of your Xbox
I have the adapter for the Xbox one controller. Will this headset still have mic monitoring(will I hear myself when I talk) if I plug it into my Xbox one controller with the adapter(it's the turtle beach brand adapter idk if that makes any difference)?
Yes if you talk loud enough into the mic you will be able to hear yourself no matter what you have it plugged into and as far as i know the brand of adapter makes no difference.

Captain SNES My mistake, voice range is typically about 300Hz to 3,400Hz. Treble is roughly about 2,000Hz to 16,000Hz. So there is a bit of overlap, being that voices tend to be in the higher frequencies.
