The angelic score playing during the boss fight is the greatest thing to go through my ears. Its almost like its all come down to that one fight and youre fighting to save all of humanity
I went back to destiny 1 the other day and played through the raids with my friends. It brought back a ton of memories and was emotional but fun. When playing wrath we had an insane amount of fun, cracking jokes the whole time. The raid put us in a great mood and I can’t wait to go back to D1 tomorrow
Eyes up is THE best track in all of destiny imo, and one of the best tracks in gaming. It really captures the essence of a heroic and epic struggle to save all that is beautiful in the world. It's applicable to any story that contains even a semblance of hope, even if its overshadowed my pain and misery. (What Aksis's little motif represents)
The Siva logo showing up on your screen while the music was playing (you know the one) was without a doubt one of the greatest raid experiences I've ever had. Went in blind the first time with a team of LFG, it was amazing.
WOTM was Boss, by far the most rewarding encounters and best designed Areas in Destiny 1 and 2. The only Raid besides Vault of Glass where i wasn't asking myself all the time how they put these huge Bosses inside the small rooms.
Mike Barnes I was more than a PVE guy as well and looking back now I was surprised that I never really tried to t better in PVP and I still had 11 flawless runs and my friends were never PVP gods we just made weekends trials and eventually we went flawless
My best memory of this raid was definitely the Outbreak Prime quest. Finding the monitors, solving the puzzles, it was absolutely epic. When we got the gun our party was yelling!
I remember playing this raid, definitely the best for me! I was the one in my group to learn binary and the one to do the math puzzles for the Titan, warlock, and hunter so my group got the outbreak, loved it and it was time well spent. Memories this video brings is great
Getting the out break prime was the best moment I ever had. Staying up to the early morning, running the raid again for the quest and finally completing the quest and acquiring the raid was amazing. I remember people just running up to our group and inspecting us just to see the weapon.
I honestly miss this raid a lot even though it caused my fire team and I a lot of stress it was just so much fun to finally beat it especially on hard mode.
I remember me and my team would run weekly raids and I’d use outbreak up until boss encounters. They’d always ask why I’m using it(since we’d need a random or 2) and I’d say “it’s good at pushing things” as I push a Vex Minotaur onto the floating middle bit in VOG with my nanites. So much fun. Outbreak was good for 3 things: pushing things, out breaking the game, or causing a lot of area damage(sometimes good boss damage too). If we’d get classic raid quests like that then I’d thoroughly enjoy D2 more.
Fun fact: the giant opening of wrath is the top of the spaceship you can see in the cosmodrome. If you return the original cosmodrome while in the plaguelands you can see the third ball on the top of the ship is missing and all that’s left is smoke and fire
Great video man! By far my favorite raid. I love this one the most! The other 3 were fun but not like this to me. Made so many memories and played with some the best gamers out there back then.
Aksis literally is the way to end off the best game in the franchise. That’s why I loved aksis so much. It was the last great time for destiny and the music was SICCXKKKKKJJKKK
WotM is the only D1 raid I’ve played multiple times, just for the fun of it. I ran VoG a couple times for the Mythoclast and KF for Malice/Blackhammer but after those milestones I stopped. WotM was always fun. RIP old friend
Oh lord I made myself forget empowered guardians lmao, the amount of wipes cause you were off on your jump and switching places when you had two empowered people on the same side ugh. Still loved it
I remember when the weekly reset was like 2am for me and I had spent the previous few hours with this lfg team and failed at Aksis phase 2 (that team fell apart). It was 15 minutes before reset and I managed to start one last attempt with a new group but none of them had mic's, we ended up having perfect coordination with each other and just knew what to do, and made it to under 50% damage, but one of us died and we couldn't recover in time. Even though we couldn't get him in time, it was still the best experience with an lfg group I had had up to that point. That music, that urgency to make it before the reset, and that silent coordination made that encounter epic for me.
After Kings fall everyone I raided with stopped playing. Trying to find another team that could actually coordinate was virtually impossible. Eventually I stopped trying so this is a raid I never actually did.
For some reason this raid is what really got me into raids and back into destiny in general after year one. Now, I haven’t been able to complete a raid since the leviathan. For some reason, I feel like the mechanics for the raids in destiny 2 are so weirdly hard to understand compared to the simple but still tough mechanics like in the rise of iron raid. I don’t know how else to explain it
Yes!!! This raid was sooo great. Maybe my favorite. I have completed the challenge mode quite a number of times. I really would instal D1 for this again. Oh and I used the sniper and the scout from the raid many times. Good weapons.
I feel like Wrath of The Machine really showed two important things to me. 1. How adaptable the Fallen can be to the point that they learned how to control Siva to this extent. 2. This, along with the rest of the DLC gave us a more in-depth look into what Rasputin is capable of and why the City and even the Hive is so wary of him.
This is my favorite raid in all of destiny. I got all of the armor and weapons. I got the ship. Outbreak prime. Did hard mode over and over. I just love this raid
This raid was very unique. I wouldn't mind to have another siva raid where siva comes back more powerful. Seeing Aksis for the first time was amazing too
I've wanted to do Wrath for so long and a couple weeks ago I did it for the first time A month later, I've done the raid atleast 30+ times on all difficulties and have done all challenges Always has been and always will be my favorite raid
Can I just say to this say outbreak prime is my favorite exotic bungie ever created I love everything with it the look sound the exotic perk it’s just a perfect exotic nothing could ever replace that exotic for me
Ah, I remember. My first raid was wrath of the machine, every night I would play it, sometimes solo but I still loved it like hell. I love the armor, the weapons, the aesthetic, everything. Rise of iron is still my favorite and probably the best dlc destiny has ever had in my opinion.
Sadly I was never able to finish this raid - I had a very hard time distinguishing void and arc blues during the final boss. Why couldn’t Bungie have made one of those elements a totally different color like green???
To be honest, I like my raids to be HEFTY, so in terms of scale, I liked King's Fall more. That said, this raid hit the "sweet spot", as you put it. It really only had two bosses (with multiple phases), but it was paced *so well* that it didn't matter. It did *not* leave me feeling like I'd just done a strike with extra steps (looking at you, Crota). The last encounter, while not as epic as Oryx in KF, it was a lot more intensity to it. I seem to recall a lot of people referring to it as being more "action-based" and it certainly felt that way. The boss fight takes place in what feels like a more compact room, everything feels cramped, despite you having decent space to maneuver through, yet you still had to be careful not to get your ass kicked by random enemies, those pesky captains, or of course, Aksis' SIVA swarms. Intense is right. I can still remember, clear as day, people shouting: "Empowered left!" "Empowered right! Who's got middle??" "I got middle!" "I got middle!" "No wait wtf!!"
WotM was my favorite raid and I ran it the most. There were some frustrating teams but there were plenty of good ones and a ton of fun. Someone missing their slam always got a laugh, especially if they got yeeted across the map.
Im so glad that youtubers like you exists please make a video urging bungie to bring back old content like classic wow im a veteran year 1 player i want to play destiny as it was. The current game is shit and will never be the same as year please make a video about it and upload it to the forums
Tbh the steel medulla is in my opinion leagues above any other primary from the raid. Genesis, while having a buffed firefly, never had the range to cope with most raid encounters. I’d argue that chaos dogma was the worst primary, as a pve dps primary when the two other slots are filled with dps weapons made no sense. The medulla, however, had range to spare (320 rpm), full auto AND a higher damage perk and that’s a goated weapon. I’d be ballsy enough to say it was up to fate bringer class. If materia being an infinite precision laser in the right hands was good too.
Honestly I never got to do a SINGAL D1 raid. If anyone/team will be willing to help me get G horn I would appreciate it. Going to make post tommarow on D2 companion.
this is just my stance, as I only got to run wrath once, but I prefer VoG and Kingsfall to wrath. the final boss is a bit too chaotic and doesn't do it for me. Also while I love the SIVA aesthetic, I am a much bigger fan of Vex/Hive architecture and atmosphere.
The angelic score playing during the boss fight is the greatest thing to go through my ears. Its almost like its all come down to that one fight and youre fighting to save all of humanity
This this this this!!! The music when AKSIS damage phase starts Is so good!!! It makes you feel like everything leads up to this moment
I'm glad they reprised the score in D2, at least for Iron Banner. The music is absolutely perfect.
Are y eon PS4?
I wish I had friends that would play destiny
Ghost of Deus Vult yes sir
Gordon Ramsay if your on PS4 I’ll give you my psn
@@bush_tn2133 I am on PS4, add me at RealSwerbs
I feel like the music is the best we’ve ever gotten

Rise of iron had an amazing soundtrack, but I personally felt taken king had more memorable tracks
The last wish vault OST after the first 2 phases
For sure
Jayden Ashby The little tune when you load from the sky into the actual raid is pretty cool
The Siva logo showing up on your screen while the music was playing (you know the one) was without a doubt one of the greatest raid experiences I've ever had.
Went in blind the first time with a team of LFG, it was amazing.
**SIVA DENSITY CRITICAL** run
My favorite raid of all time! Great to hear your take on it!
glad you enjoyed!
WOTM was Boss, by far the most rewarding encounters and best designed Areas in Destiny 1 and 2. The only Raid besides Vault of Glass where i wasn't asking myself all the time how they put these huge Bosses inside the small rooms.
Brings back the feels, and I wasn’t even a big pve guy...I was all about pvp. Great raid and expansion overall.
Definitely. Rise of iron was the best time to play d1
I was a pve dude but pvp was amazing in D1.
Mike Barnes I was more than a PVE guy as well and looking back now I was surprised that I never really tried to t better in PVP and I still had 11 flawless runs and my friends were never PVP gods we just made weekends trials and eventually we went flawless
the raid's lregendary pulse rifle was actually really really good too.
PersonalTea338 the steel medula I believe
Gordon Ramsay he said legendary pulse....
Bush_TN THEN WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE
Nah its trash
All the weapons were good. The scout especially with small arms active
Just watching this hurt to know the state of destiny 2 compared to the taken king, rise of iron and age of triumph
@Deez Nuts Shame nothing post Forsaken was good. Every season since has been dogshit, especially these last two
@Deez Nuts for me I love both taken king and forsake . They both were game changers for both D1 and D2 respectively.
@@tobysmith826 I loved Rise of Iron, my 2nd favorite expansion behind Taken King
My best memory of this raid was definitely the Outbreak Prime quest. Finding the monitors, solving the puzzles, it was absolutely epic. When we got the gun our party was yelling!
This guy needs some more subs, these videos are really good quality please keep uploading!
I miss d1
I enjoyed the giant seige engine encounter the most. I wasn't very lucky to get well coordinated teams to do any of the challenge modes though.
I remember playing this raid, definitely the best for me! I was the one in my group to learn binary and the one to do the math puzzles for the Titan, warlock, and hunter so my group got the outbreak, loved it and it was time well spent. Memories this video brings is great
I remember this raid cause half my friends blocked me for getting outbreak before them
i hope that if we will get a siva themed next season we will get some cool siva armor sets from the season pass
HOT CHARIZARD fuck the season pass why don’t they just yknow, make a complete game
You'll get siva themed armor from the siva season, but itll be in eververse.

Aksis using his robot spider legs with the incredible theme in the background. Is my favorite thing ever. God damn I loved this raid.

Bro aksis phase 2 music is amazing, that is the reason i never get tired of that fight. Plus it was my first ever raid to complete so
i have many memories of this raid and the other D1 raids. The gear from the D1 raids where some of the best.
Aksis literally is the way to end off the best game in the franchise. That’s why I loved aksis so much. It was the last great time for destiny and the music was SICCXKKKKKJJKKK
These videos are making me wanting to go and complete these raids again
[D2 STORY SPOILERS]
"I miss Siva" boy have you got a surprise coming to D2.
Im hopimg SIVA will be in the next season or in year 4
I loved this raid more than any other in D1, felt really epic to me and I actually looked forward to doing it every week
It was a “perfected raid”
Sorry if it was a bad pun
WotM is the only D1 raid I’ve played multiple times, just for the fun of it. I ran VoG a couple times for the Mythoclast and KF for Malice/Blackhammer but after those milestones I stopped. WotM was always fun. RIP old friend

I remember 3 manning Hard mode 390 aksis challenge. i still have the screenshot of it. such a memory
I personally loved the fusion rifle and shotgun. The hand cannon was also very unique and fun to use imo.

Aksis fight HAS THE BEST MUSIC by far. Oryx comes close 2nd but man that music when you stand on the plates when he does his wipe attack
After Kings fall everyone I raided with stopped playing. Trying to find another team that could actually coordinate was virtually impossible. Eventually I stopped trying so this is a raid I never actually did.
Favorite raid in all ways. Armor, Weapons, Boss fights, replayability, and the awesome music!

Man, I got to Aksis phase two on day one of the raid before we gave up due to being underleveled. Never finished it.
Sadly I was never able to finish this raid - I had a very hard time distinguishing void and arc blues during the final boss. Why couldn’t Bungie have made one of those elements a totally different color like green???

Aksis challenge took so long to do but it was so much fun
For some reason whenever I see the siva themes armor I get reminded of PC’s
fun fact, you can switch Wrath of the Machine's name with Scourge of the Past and it'll still make sense.
Probably one of my favriote raids in all of destiny 1 and 2
Great video! Really enjoyed it 👍👍👍
thanks!
Wait was that Dunkey at 2:35?
The music is sick af too
This was the best raid no doubt. They need to bring it to d2
WoTM is peak Destiny for me. The only thing that came close to that feeling was the Vault in Last Wish.
Only raid I got to finish the challenge modes with 5 other RANDOMS and find that sweet sweet Tier 12 Armor
I remember when I was in middle school and thought it was so cool to actually learn something like binary from a video game. Still do
Outbreak Prime was one of the best looking guns in all of D1. Def a top 5 for sure
Second favorite raid next to Kings Fall
My favorite by far, with the best armor for hunters imo
this vid brought tears to my eyes😢
I wish I could go back in time when this came out but have the knowledge I have now 🥺
Agreed the final boss was super fun and addictive.
Im so glad that youtubers like you exists please make a video urging bungie to bring back old content like classic wow im a veteran year 1 player i want to play destiny as it was. The current game is shit and will never be the same as year please make a video about it and upload it to the forums

i love ur content man :)
It still appalls me that I managed to this and other raids without a mic
Outbreak prime quest jesus that was long

I’m still jealous to this day that I never got Outbreak Prime 😤
Loved the raids in D1. They were so much fun. While I do like last wish raid, to me the d2 raids just aren’t as much fun.
I’m gonna play through d1 again, I’m gonna use your series as a tutorial lol
Didn't the lore state we got so powerful from defeating Oryx that the Siva Powered Aksis was basically nothing to us guardians?
Making my way down town
Y’all remember the story behind fate of all fools
Nothing in Destiny’s history shall beat Legendary Fate Bringer. That shit was the perfect weapon.
I want a Dungeon with siva and “axis the re-built god” to be the final boss season 11/12 tbh
sounds cool, won't happen.
Wise Engineer would be cool af tho
@@getnaenaeddazley8942 yeah it would be
Definitely my favorite raid
I think we can all agree that the siege engines new name is Thomas the siege engine
Still my favourite raid I actually had lot of fun doing
don’t @me but chaos dogma was a very good primary and I used it for every Pve activity
I thought your title said “Why wrath of the machine so AW-Ful. because It got cut
I wish all of the hype was still around d1
i miss siva so much

Man this video just made me boot up Destiny 1. I absolutely LOVED this raid! Loved the weapons, the armour, I mean it was damn near perfect imo
I miss all the Destiny was
