    I remember seeing players with the full Croats end set in the tower and being in awe, saying to myself “one day I’ll have that gear”. There’s no other game that can give me that sensation again. Great video

      Crota was the raid I liked the least, the taken king raid, was the coolest set ever in my opinion (is d1) only losing to a few separate pieces of set

    What made this raid the most memorable was all the crazy cheese. Nearly every encounter could be cheesed.
    The first encounter, you could take a shortcut to the end and then stand on the little rock so none of the enemies could hit you.
    In the bridge encounter, there were too many cheese to even name. Most memorable was the self-res Warlock cheese that de-spawned all enemies so you got a free pass.
    Ir Yut probably had a cheese as well but everyone just skipped this encounter with a Crota checkpoint.
    And finally Crota himself with probably the most infamous cheese in Destiny history - pulling out the ethernet cable to permanently down Crota.

    • @davidkemp5798
      @davidkemp5798 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ir yut did have a cheese you could get up above her and just shoot down. It was worth doing though as it was an exotic drop.

    • @greattwigo-sama147
      @greattwigo-sama147 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The atheon cheese is possibly more popular, but it's not quite the same in memeability.
      Throw warlock solar grenades near atheon's feet to get him to walk off the edge. Instant death. The templar had the same cheese.

    Crotas End will always be special to me because it was the first raid that i was able to run the moment it came out. There's nothing quite like running a raid day 1 blind. I'll never forget being stuck on Crota for like 2 days before we finally beat him (legit, no ethernet unplugging lmao)

    My favourite memory on crota is when he got up early and ran off, he was also enraged... I titan skated after him as I got to him told my team to down him. Downed him perfectly, and as the last swing did damage the sword disappeared... WE KILLED HIM! The entire team roar and tbag the corpse. I tried to record it and all I caught was me tbagging

    Despite playing since Day 1, this was the first raid I ever played. Couldn't find a fireteam for Vault of Glass, but the one that I did Crota's End with was the same fireteam that stuck with me until Destiny 2. I miss those guys. Wish D2 had raids that were as good as D1. I honestly haven't even completed a D2 raid just because I haven't been able to get a fireteam.

    This raid was a lot of fun. If you played it the way it was designed, it was relatively challenging. But the number of exploits made this a speed run akin to a strike. I have a special place in my heart for this one because I had taken a break from destiny shortly after launch and didn’t return until two weeks before HoW was released so Crota was my first raid experience. I didn’t do a ton of clears but ran this way more than any other raid, with VoG being my second raid. For as quick as it was it was still memorable and very rewarding, especially Black Hammer.

    That disconnect glitch was weird.
    Never have I seen this kind of glitch, but the raid is also very hard for the average people, everyone welcomes such cheese.
    So yeah, feels bad doing it, but so do everyone else, and we all laugh it off remembering it.

  • @YYui420
    @YYui420 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I actually like this level of content. It wasnt so hard that you couldnt do it with a mostly random group. It's a nice solid middle of the road difficulty that still feels challenging but isnt impossible to clear without serious coordination. I kind of feel like this is what shattered throne should have been like.

    In my opinion, running this raid with a 6 man fireteam is kind of mediocre, but it’s insanely fun to solo. That’s why I consider it more of a dungeon. And yet, it’s my favorite dungeon ever. (I like it more than the Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy.)
