Ah the Gjallarhorn... I remember getting it. It as so cathartic. It felt like you were playing with a power handicap that was lifted the second you got it into your hands. Then it was pay back time. :D

While not as flashy, my first and forever special Exotic was Hawkmoon. I love hand cannons they just felt so amazing in Destiny, and as my first ever random drop and it will always and forever hold a special place in my heart. It's the push a younger me need to really give crucible my all and it helped me excel

Wasn’t it the 2nd or 3rd week of destiny releasing when Xur sold it? Alot of players were like “Nahh, I’m not taking up my heavy slot with a exotic rocket launcher” 😂

Ive told a friend of mine, but he is so over destiny cuz of D2 that he claims he is done with Bungie and their Destiny games. He is so distraught about it he started playing Neverwinter lol. Imagine that! But he will come around i think eventually lol

It's times like this that I wish I brought an extra twenty with me the day I went to GameStop and bought destiny 1 for the PS3. It was last year, and the PS4 version was about 15 quid more expensive, and I wanted to get the expansions this time, so I needed the money to get a psn voucher.
I completely forgot how good hand cannons used to be in D1 in D2 they do barely any damage (same with scouts) and the only good things are high rpm auto rifles smgs and some sidearms
Good eye. Exploders were in the game before rise of iron, but I imagine they used the recent exploder shanks as either an accident or in hopes nobody would notice since they are essentially the same. Never noticed either tho man! Haha
I need to reread the lore. How did the Iron Lords use the Gjallahorn when it's made out of Guardian armor from those who fell at Twilight Gap? For this to happen, Twilight Gap would have to be before Siva wiped out the Iron Lords. If that's true, then the city should've known about Siva.
How did the iron lords wield gjallarhorn if the gun was made from the armour of those who fought at twighlight gap? Didn't the iron lords death happen before the construction of the weapon?

Miss the days when a weapon made you feel legend,, just everything about exotics and the stories of where and how you got them were so much better in destiny 1 even the drop for vex mythoclast made me jump out of my chair and yet nothing in D2 has done the same for me.
I started playing D1 because my clan is always talking about how good D1 was, and right now with this season in D2 i have to agree. The hardest part now is trying to tick off the progress bars especially the crucible ones. For me having 1K drop from the last wish was an awesome experience for me and I screamed like a little girl

Personally I see the d1 tower always full, and don't have trouble finding too many people. Strikes are somewhat populated, crucible also may take a few minutes to find a match but i usually find one after a few minutes. Been really loving my time back in d1

Gotta admit i was kind of annoyed that they just gave everyone Gjallarhorn in the rise of iron update, its one of my biggest gripes with destiny 2 as well, exotics are just given to you from a quest, most of which are not hard to do at all, there is no sense of awe when you get one anymore... It all started with this quest in my opinion, sure there were other exotics through quests, but this one gave you Gjallarhorn... the fucking Gjallarhorn, it deserved better than to be reduced to a quest drop.

Nice and congratulations. I got my Gjallahorn about 2 months ago (it is still level 170) but it is oh so much fun to use.
