Big ole Parker factory just outside my crappy little town in England. Also was wondering could you do a stand alone hydraulic system using hydraulic oil for the Huey pump?

No it's not Tim. I had a small injection in my hand and unfortunately no doctors or hospital know anything about it! Fortunately I got lucky and found a surgeon in London whose seen it and I got dealt with
That antiquated CAT intake has hidden out of sight for too long. It reminded me of a 2" water pipe with 6 hole's to feed the cylinders. I've been waiting for you to do this. Watching it evolve through your head & see what came out. For an old motorhead, this is what I call entertainment...
It's so satisfying seeing this engine coming together with all the care and attention to detail. Congratulations on scooping that 5500 PSI oil filter, what a find! Happy New Year everyone! 🎉🎊🍻
I seriously cannot get over how professional the illustrations are for the diagrams. This is great for making it easy to understand. Thank you for doing this, never stop!
I can't wait till this truck is done, my favorite build so far!! Hope you had a good Christmas Rich! Im sure your enjoying the winter now that we actually have some snow!
I'm always amazed at how big and oversized these diesel engines are... When you picked up that wrench to tighten the hose on the 40lb filter... like wow. There is a lot of stuff i dont understand, but i love learning and i love big trucks!
Awesome job and video. No one believes me when I tell them how much oil pressure it takes to fire my injectors on my 7.3 95 F350 CrewCab Dullay. Your diagram proves it.
Sweet on the filter the 7.3 is a similar type of huei system i plugged off the oil pass to huei pump plumbed in a hose and catch can and 60 psi pump with 30 wieght tractor oil in proper check vavles and return line giving the truck a complete sperate injection oil system does not interact with engine oil been working good massive improvement on cold starts as u can flip the switch before you crank no crank to build pressure
@@jeremyhanna3852 Oil going to injectors simple. Still tring to figure out how your catching return oil from all 8 injector spill spouts and returning to a catch can for reuse.
I am so excited to see this thing complete. I’ve been thinking of swapping a low mileage, well maintained 7.3 into a 1/2 ton 1989 dodge and these videos make me more motivated to do it. Thanks for the awesome work and education.
I'm more excited to see it fire up with it bench tested to the dashboard before it's in the truck. Also, I'm stoked to see how he wires up the beauty. Here we go!

The Hytorc hydraulic bolt tensioners we have at work use two-layer hoses so a failure won't kill the millwright if a hose fails. Stretch 3" studs no problem. :D
Loving this series and find myself looking forward to every new release. Who would of thought an amazing FORD series from deboss. I see upgrades and mods for this going for a long time to come.
I run CAT filters on my FASS for my 1LW. The electic heater is garbage, was a complete waste of $200 for me. In really cold weather I just unplug the FASS until the coolant gets some temp in it to heat the fuel and decloud it then plug it back in and all is good. Been meaning to put in a solenoid so I can have it on a switch for cold starting but haven't got around to it yet.
I do mobile hydraulics and equip repair. Always doing hardlines cylinders and hoses.to my knowledge Parker doesn't make a -8 jic to -20 ORB adapter.(safe to assume Eaton and gates don't either.) You'd have to do it in 2 steps but I'd do a 12-20 F50X adapter to a 12-8 TRTXN reducer to your hose. I like Parker more then gates
You should take pieces of the 90 or even 3 straight pieces angled toards the intake ports inside to strengthen the intake "manifold" and guide air to the front cylinders better. Your setup will push air stright to the rear port
That CAT looks Gorgeous!!! I enjoy watching your brain work during fabrication. Learning more and more and remembering all the imagination I used as a kid when we just made stuff work. Not trying to prod but, maybe soften that intake air to air. That 35° looks a little brash
Hell yeah! im looking at an old 98 GMC T6500 to use for my Hooklift truck. I learned alot here.. If i have any questions i might just call you... you live 40 mins away haha
6:10 Teflon tape for NPT isn't a sealant, it's a lubricant so you can tighten it more without stripping anything. That's why you should never use it if the thread isn't tapered.
The grease trick for transferring holes works, but I would definitely recommend some transfer screws. I use them at work, and they're a bit more accurate and consistent.
Ford had the same issue with 401 as far as wear due to uneven intake pressure. It was such as an issue they had different piston to wall clearances from cylinder to cylinder to compensate.
I nearly got a injection to the face when I worked on a old broach machine (15 ton rating). 600 psi at 15 GPM is scary shit when a fitting blows from a pressure spike. Still have minor ptsd from that event.
to further bulletproof the HEUI system you could fit a remote hydraulic oil tank, remote pump & filter and return to the tank. That way engine oil contaminants never get to the injectors. You'd be able to fit a lower psi rating filter and it would transfer weight away from the front to the rear of the truck.
Finally a video on the 3126 that’s not just machining. You should weigh the f$&@ 350 before it has the cat in it or while it’s got the gasser on the scale at V&R. Since I have a 7.3 idi & always looking for a good swap if the idi goes out. I’d love to do a HEUI swap, but I most of the engines for swaps are over 1000lbs including the 5.9 & since my idi weighs 900lbs, I see why people do a Powerstroke swap, cuz it weighs the same as the old idi. I had a Powerstroke before my idi & got away from a HEUI, so if cat has a mechanical engine I’d love to know that’s under 1200lbs.
ya should see the grimy old hydro lines on the 1976 dodge W300... can still lift a 1800lb hay bail but... the pto for the pump blew up its drive shaft, someone put non oil ratted tape on the iron oil lines, everything is covered in s***, the quick disconnects for the hydro's need some tool that locks onto them to pull them apart... still works.
May I suggest soft jaws for your vice, get a couple pieces of copper and bend them over your vice jaws with a hammer, you can clamp hard without marring your price.
The high pressure injuries you are talking about is called hydraulic injection Rich. I watched a guy lose 2 fingers to a pinhole leak in a hydraulic hose on a bucket truck he was running. Just had a flap of skin holding them on. He almost lost his entire hand from infection afterwards.
