      @@abdautomotive sorry I was too excited to share the entire story. After replacing the injector pump, I was still battling with P062d of a code and at a time I felt I should just replace ecu since the code talks about injector drivers, so I did but the code remained. I was so frustrated. Then I checked all its wire harness and I saw everything was well connected, no short to power or ground at any point. So I removed all the injectors and began to connect them one after the other and at every injector connected, I would scan to know if the code(p062d) would be thrown up again. I did 1, 2,3 and there was no code thrown up and they all sprayed. But the moment I connected no 4, the whole injectors stopped spraying. Immediately, I arranged the injectors into the cylinder and cranked it the vehicle started. The moment the last injector is replaced, the engine came alive. Story short, the ecm was not the culprit but a bad injector and remembered you talked about replacing injectors at one time while i was still struggling to fix the vehicle.
      God is faithful in all situation, he gave me victory over this protracted "crank no start" situation. Thank you for your technical support throughout.

      I have intermittent hesitation on acceleration. Because it didn’t do it on the day of my service and there were no codes popping up ford said they couldn’t find anything….not that I’m sure they really checked. Any idea what I should ask them to check? I’ve always tried to use good fuel Amplol/Caltex/Shell. Also my rear brakes make a noise on a slow reverse, they said they cleaned them but the next day it was still making the noise. Ford are very frustrating, we’re the same when I had a AU.

    Very nice and informative video. Thanks for it. Maybe is good idea to make a video with information which live data parameters is good to check regularly (for example every 20 000 km) in order to optimize your car performance and discover possible problem earlier. For example DPF status ;-) Thaks once again.

    side note if you had a faulty Fuel pressure regulator AKA fuel volume control valve the Pressure value in the high pressure fuel pump will not be effected how ever fuel quantity will be effected greatly with low power symptoms and low EGTS

    Is it normal for the in-tank fuel pump to run more than 2 seconds ? I have recently done a complete over haul of my 2.2L Duratorq and it cranks for less than 5 seconds and then it stops cranking even with the key still in the start postion. Checked fuel supply to fuel filter and noticed the in-tank pump is pumping fuel for more than 2 seconds. it stops after around 30s. Would greatly appreciate any advise you can give. Thank you , God bless and keep doing these videos, it has been a great help to me

    Hi, your videos are very informative & helpful!
    I have problem with my 3.2l ford ranger. Intermittently the engine jerking when my rpm is below 1800 or whenever I reduce speed & put on the accelerator pedal again. I have to monitor the engine rpm just to ensure it stays above 1800 which means I can’t change to a higher gear (manual transmission) or else the engine starts to jerk. For information I just replaced the in tank pump assembly & its connector due to burnt on the connector which damages the connector port. What could be the possible cause the engine to jerk in this case?

    Good day to you engineer. I'm still working to restore my ford ranger 2.2l. I got a new injector pump eventually and installation I cranked and there came some codes, those p062d has always being there, now p2291 is added. By the time I pulled the return line on the injectors, the pressure was really much, well, I took that as being due to fact that the injectors are not spraying so there is pool of fuel stored. It surprising that with a new injector pump one could still be having codes like this(p2291). I've gotten another ecu just to check that its own ecu isn't responsible for the p062d code behold, the code remains. Do you have any advice for me on this new situation? Thank you for being so helpful always.

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i would advise to spray some accelerant like brake cleaner down the intake and see if this starts & runs off the accelerant,
      if so, do you have a spare set of injectors you can try? if you've fitted a new injector pump i think the only thing left to replace is the injectors.
      normally if i had a ranger with alot of water contamination in the fuel system i would
      1. drain the tank, 2. replace injector pump 3. replace injectors

    Thanks for another great video, it does help as usual. I want to know: when desired pressure is not attained or met, would that caused the ecu from commanding injectors from injecting? Secondly, would low pressure caused ecu from sending signal and then set fault codes like p062d? Lastly, would right fuel pressure resolve fault code- P062D? Once again. Great job you've done.
    Note: how can I get this forscan tool, I urgently need one.

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      from what i can see, the P062D code is related to the Fuel injector driver circuit , it could be defective injector wiring or a defective injector, or defective injector driver circuit inside the PCM , is it stopping your ranger from running altogether? or just misfiring?

    • @samuelbolanle1994

      @@abdautomotive thanks for the response. The Ranger is not starting at all. The vehicle had water in fuel and we drained the conterminated fuel and replaced fuel filter and refueled. Vehicle became okay. But few days later while on interstate trip, the vehicle went on limp home mode, next thing it stalled complaining of low fuel pressure. We've replaced the pump plunger springs, fuel regulation working fine. Now vehicle refuses to start. P062d is now prominent. We've replaced the ecm and the result is still the same.

      @@samuelbolanle1994 try disconnecting one injector at a time and then try starting it , a P062d is not fuel pressure related , i would need to know how much pressure is at the rail so i can point you in the right direction, it can be a guessing game if you don't have forscan, i did a video where you can buy an adaptor for $30 on ebay & the software is $10 this will set you up with forscan

    Thanks for the video, i am currently having an issue with my ranger, it is a 2013 2,2. basically when ever i push the car too hard on acceleration or if i am goibg on the highway if i go above 90 kms/h the car loses power and goes into lip mode with rpm not going above 2200. every time i get a different code, first i got a low fuel pressure code then i got a faulty sensor code, i changed that then i got faulty fuel regulator, i changed that but the problem is still there, now i am going to replace the whole pump and we will see, i did a live data with the desired pressure and actual pressure but the problem is once the code is triggered the ecu limits the power output of the engine so the pressure is the same but it is low both on desired and actual, if you have any input on this it would be much appreciated

    Mate iv got a problem with injector rattle that comes wen the engine is at op temp not cold. Iv put brand new injectors in coded pilot injection reset on forscan about a dozen times . When the auto shifts gear I get a momentary fast injector rattle also does it on deceleration for a second or 2. You can actually see it on the rev needle sticking when the rattle comes on and then it drops off as normal. It’s def in the fuel system, contamination perhaps iv bn tryna figure this loud cricket like injector rattle out for months non dpf px2 330,000kms let me know mate if you’ve got any suggestions it’s got me stumped fuel pressure and sensor voltages look good on forscan. New Fuel filter was dark around outside after a week. You think pulling the tank and pump to drain any crap out wud help or not necessary just drain it at filter end using the tank pump. Cud it even be a broken injector pump spring I don’t see a problem with the pressures tho. No DTCs at all otherwise drives normal

      Various it does it during shift changes 1st-2nd 2nd-3rd and when I left off the throttle to coast it rattles the longest. Under load from 1500 to 2000rpm acceleration. Most noticeable at residential speeds. Won’t do it at idle or stationary revving. I cudnt see any debris on the old scv regulator screen, the rev counter needle sticking momentarily has me thinking it’s gotta be a fuel injector delivery issue to be seeing that wat do you think mate. The replaced fuel filter was dark around outside but I don’t see any metal in it.
      It’s like a 1-2 second fast injector rattle like spokes on a bike wheel wen it comes on and the rev needle seems to stick momentarily with it before continuing to fall normally. I had 1 mechanic tell me that’s normal for a Siemens piezo injector to be hearing that noise from drivers seat while driving, can’t be right surely. I had these new injectors bench tested they replaced the spray nozzles then said I might need to put a new pump on as it may need new injectors again. I was gonna drain the tank replace filter n run a bottle of injector cleaner thru the filter housing like your video
