Thank you for this, I just got my BetterPress and I really want to find different techniques with different papers. You always are the channel for this. Your monthly card flips are so creative.
I love accent opaque. It's very affordable. And as well, if you get the super smooth one, it's decently good got alcohol marker coloring too! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! ❤️
Do your betterpress plates leave marks on your clear plate? Mine leave an impression every time I run it through my machine, but yours looks super clean.
I just watched a Betterpress hack video by Studio Kato. She got a deeper impression on cardstock by taping a piece of paper towel onto the platen, underneath the cardstock she was pressing. I just thought you might like to give it a try. This is her video: th-cam.com/video/cy5AXSlQ5nY/w-d-xo.html
Oh awesome! I'll give it a try. I was thinking of just adding a sheet of paper or lightweight cardstock on top of the platen. I'll have to check out the video. Thank you so much!! ❤️
I don’t know a lot about paper but definitely some 😊 I know that it’s not just about the weight of the paper (i.e. 100lb, 110, 80 etc). With giving an impression, it’s about how tightly the fibers of the paper are. Very smooth card stock, we all love, for ink blending, the fibers are super tight together. So when some suggest misting the paper with water before running it through in an embossing folder, this is to help loosen the fibers to get a deeper, crisper impression. Also less cracking of the card stock. This might work with the Betterpress if you only add water to the back of the paper. 🤔

Thank you so much, friend! I'm so glad you got the BetterPress! I hope you enjoy it! I appreciate you. 💗
Really good video. Thank you for experimenting with different cardstocks and how they worked in the BetterPress.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you! 💗
Great comparison video Linh 🥰 All 3 looks amazing, in my eyes ❤️ thanks for sharing your comparison video Hugs xx
Thanks so much, Joan! ❤️
Thank you for doing this comparison.
You are very welcome. I hope it's useful information
The cotton paper shows more detail. Thanks for the comparison ❤
Yep! Totally agree! 💯
Hi Linh,
The detail is definitely better on the cotton panel.
I agree. That cotton paper really takes the ink well.
Thanks for this video. I haven’t used the Accent opaque paper. I’m going to order some and give it a try for Betterpress and card-making in general.

As far as inks go, Jennifer Mcguire had great success with Altenew inkpads in addition to Ranger Archival.
Oh good to know! I don't have the ranger archival but I did try one altenew and got good results too. Thank you!! ❤️
Oh I just realized I haven't published my exploration on inks yet. That's coming out July 8. I tested almost all the different brands I own. 😂

Just a very slight ghost image. But I don't think it is harming anything.
@@LVHandcrafted Thanks!
Thanks for the comparison. If you send the card to someone, they won't know the difference
I agree 💯! Thanks for watching and commenting, Sue! 💗
